I needed to check on an order and called the number listed on my phone. It said number not in service. I told the manager of the store LAST YEAR of this problem. So I now have to go to store for any service or to check on whether they carry an item . Obviously it was not taken care of . You think as big as they are they could get this sorted. I'm a big hobby lobby fan and have been for a very long time. I went in on a Friday afternoon for the first time to this particular location and there were sales on quite a few of the items. The store is huge and felt newish for sure. It was clean, well organized, and I love the variety and range of items they have to offer. Home decor, Art supplies, frames, stationary etc. When I went to checkout, the line was getting long but shortly after more associates came up opened registers and called customers over. My cashier was also very friendly and patient with me as I asked to confirm prices on some of the items in my cart. She went above and beyond and confirmed all prices for everything in my cart and asking if I was alright with them. The wall decor was 50% off that day, which was awesome . They also had a very good deal on some of their canvas packs and frames. read more

This Hobby Lobby is located on Crater Lake alongside Academy, Petco and several other eateries and shops. I have stopped by this location for specific items, I never just pop into Hobby Lobby to browse...as it is way too easy to get overwhelmed with the amount of stuff they pack into this place! I will say that while the amount of stuff is overwhelming, they always have an amazing assortment of whatever item I am in need of. Choices, choices, choices! I have swung in here for holiday décor and wrapping goods, picture frames, standard gift boxes, hot glue accessories and even wooden table toppers. For the most part all of my trips are successful and I end up spending less than I thought I would. My only gripe with this location is the service. It is just never good. On the occasion that I asked for help on the sales floor, I have to search the whole store, then I feel like I am bothering them. I weirdly get the same feeling from the cashiers as well. Overall, Hobby Lobby is not my first choice of store, but it does come in clutch when needed. read more

I've had good experiences here. The store is clean; the workers are friendly. The woman who helped me with framing a picture was pleasant and patient; she took lots of time to hear my thoughts and offer suggestions but never rushed me. This store is located inside a much larger shopping center, so it can be a bit disorienting to get to it if you don't know the area well. I've had lots of pictures framed at this hobby lobby, but this latest one, I was very disappointed, it took a month, before it was done and the corners aren't perfect like in all my others, and when I questioned the girl about this issue, she stated well we don't build the frames, ‍ Well you're still responsible for quality right? She just shrugged her shoulders, after waiting a month plus I took it, this was a $330. Frame job, I will never return for framing again, I do not recommend them anymore!! This Hobby Lobby is just like every other Hobby Lobby. Nothing new to report there. However, I am here to comment on the framing services. If you look at my recent previous reviews, I went to another family owned framing shop here in Atlanta that was truly amazing, but ultimately out of my budget. There I was quoted $355. I decided to come to Hobby Lobby and get quoted here with the exact same requests as the other place (with a black frame but not the exact same one offered at the other shop). Both with conservation glass instead of museum glass. Hobby Lobby is charging me $110. So yes, I am very happy and the customer service was excellent. read more

I frequent a couple local Hobby Lobby stores with my sister in law, and this location is my personal favorite. I like that it seems a good bit newer and nicer than the Cobb Parkway location near Smyrna/Vinings. Selection seems to be on par with other Hobby Lobby stores, and I've never left empty handed. The primary con for me is location, which feels to me to be "the end" of Ernest Barrett (coming from someone traveling over from 575). Getting to this location on the weekend can take some time and stress in dealing with traffic. The surrounding plaza is also very hectic and not my favorite to navigate, but once I deal with the surrounding logistics, I'm happy to make my way inside. read more

One of the best places to go for seasonal decor. There was Saint Patricks decor, and Easter on the shelves. I use Hobby Lobby for the framing department. Once I'm a photographer, a picture isn't a picture without the finish look of a frame. I pick out a custom frame and have it matted and the glare free glass. The customer service is superior and I've always been happy with the end result. It takes them a few weeks and my portrait is ready for hanging. If I buy a basic stock frame they'll show me the best tools for hanging it. The store is a great size filled with patio decor, and things to decorate your man cave. The artificial florals are beautiful as always. The store is clean and usual and have plenty to keep a crafty person busy. The thing I love the most is Hobby Lobby isn't open on Sunday. This allows the employees to spend time with their families and honor their beliefs if they like. read more

Terrible customer service. My boyfriend was attempting to buy some items when his card declined due to banking issues. When he pulled out cash to pay the manager accused him of stealing the debit card he had attempted to pay with. Then the manager called the cops and was dumbfounded when the cops told him that the debit card was not stolen. Not only was the manager far from the truth but attempted to hold him in the store. And refused to sell anything to him after the cops proved there was nothing fishy going on. This was definitely a case of racial profiling. Worst management ever. He deserves to be fired over these actions and lucky he hasn't caused a law suit for the company. read more

You know I've tried to calm down, and it's just not happening. Last night after work I went to Hobby lobby. I didn't need anything but I did find some really good buys, and was excited about that unfortunately I was profiled as a shoplifter (well let's hope it was shoplifting, anything else is even worse,) tonight by Ashley. Ashley, who is a store manager happen to be in art section she watched me feel the paper, even though i paid her no attention at first b/c i was busy shopping. I happen to accidentally knock over one of their glass fixtures. Now if you've been to Hobby lobby in your area you know that hobby lobby uses glass two separate products, why I have no idea. Either way, I accidentally happened to knock one over. The glass fixtures pointed edge hit my leg, my ankle to be exact, luckily I happen to be wearing winter jeans which are much thicker than normal jeans and I was not hurt. There will probably be a bruise. (there IS a bruise btw) But Ashley was right there and I politely pick up the glass, it didn't break, and handed that glass fixture over to her and apologize for knocking it over. And then as I walked around the store looking at other areas of interest to me. I happened to notice that over the intercom security scans are being called in every single section I was in and that the loss prevention was following me discreetly so to speak. FYI: It's not very discreet, by the way, if you're in Loss prevention, for you to turn away immediately the second someone you're following happens to look at you. It's a dead give away. Now as I was walking through the store and they were calling the security scans overhead in the area I was in and both Ashley and loss prevention followed me through all of hobby lobby. I wandered around just to see if it was me or if they really were following me and they were!! I then go to the checkout lane, which Ashley pointed out, kinda rudely i might add, I'm guessing so that she could verify that i was going to pay? check out and go to my car. Now here is the kicker. Ashley follows me to the edge of the stores doors and then proceeded to try and get my license plate number!! but when she noticed me looking at her, she decided to go inside the store and I guess cut her losses. So I called the store asked for the manager that looks like Ashley, blonde wearing a blue shirt and a bob hair cut, I get put on hold and lo and behold who answers you guessed it, Ashley. Ashley then ask why am calling while she's cops an attitude when I tell her exactly what she did, and then ask for her name at which point she finally gives it to me. I will say that she rudely asked me if i wanted cooperates number, but i figured i would get that myself b/c i genuinely didn't trust her to give me the right number. You can be assured that I will be calling corporate the second I have a chance to sit down calmly talk to the representative, Because it is absolutely not the representatives fault that Ashley is a jerk. I will then proceed to tell them exactly what Ashley and loss prevention did and then I will go ahead and do whatever I need to do to let them know that this is inexcusable. I can safely say considering I have worked retail/customer service for a very long time that I will never be going to that particular hobby lobby again maybe not even a Hobby Lobby in general. read more

I am giving this review 2 stars for the holiday discounts early on, but I don't care for the service I get. For a store that prides itself on Christian values they don't spread the love. Staff are somewhat rude and dismissive. Many times I have been in line when another worker pulls someone behind me to ring up in another register they open. Seriously? They also do not offer Teacher discounts where Michael's and Jo-Ann's do give discounts. I'm about to call and complain! read more

Have you ever heard of a "safety check" being called over the speaker seconds after you have walked into the store? Soon after calling for a safety check, you've been followed and surveilled by several employees with only one task- watch to make sure you're not stealing. How could someone be profiled as a shoplifter within seconds of being seen. My wife and I entered this location to pick up some crafts for a project we started. Not once were we asked for help, yet we found it amazing that all of the employees that's followed us didn't even engage. Upon checking out after purchasing our items, the store manager stayed at the door watching us. It is PATHETIC to think that a couple would come into a CRAFTS store for less than 10 minutes to wipe it clean of brushes, paints, and laminate products. The nice lady checking us out seemed annoyed by the profiling as well as she was not too happy with the managers herself. My wife and I will not be shopping here again. I went here looking for greenery. The ones I chose were in the "fall" section and marked at 40% off. Once I got to the register they told me they aren't 40% off. I told him that they were in the "fall" section that said they were on sale and he said he would have to get that fixed. I just spent 45 minutes waiting in the return and exchange line at this location. I was returning a mere $5 worth of craft supplies with my 10 month old son in tow. When I got in line there were 3 or 4 people ahead of me. After about 30 minutes of waiting,I saw a store manager at the front of the store. His name is Tony. I waved him down and asked if there was any way they could open a second return line. By this time there were two people in front of me still and at least 8 people behind me. He was not friendly. He merely stated, and I quote, 'We're only required to have one return line. All the other lines are for paying customers only.' I was flabbergasted. He didn't even pretend like there was a real reason only one return line was open. He basically said that because all of us were returning things, we weren't going to be given proper customer service. One of the ladies behind me asked who else we could talk to about this issue. He said we could call Hobby Lobby customer service. And I absolutely did. If anyone needs to call in, it was actually very quick and easy. Let me start by saying HOBBY LOBBY is my " Happy Place". I always find at least a couple of things to pick up and on the rare occasions that I don't I simply enjoy walking around and looking. A few days ago I was doing my usual shopping ( it was an especially successful day at Hobby Lobby. I found about 5 items!). Most of what I found was wall decor and part of the current 50% off promotion. A couple of items weren't but I figured no worries I'll just pull up the Hobby Lobby 40% off coupon as usual. Well......imagine my surprise when the cashier informed me that Hobby Lobby has done away with their 40% off coupons! WHAT?!?! While this store is huge and has lots of home decor, i dislike shopping here as a crafter. They rarely carry more then 3 or 4 of each item. Terrible, dishonest customer "service" I bought a telescope here for my husband for our anniversary. He's picky, and not being sure if he would like it, I made sure with the clerk who sold it to me that it was returnable. She said yes, as long as the box was unopened. This did not seem reasonable, because how can you tell if you like it? I bought it anyway and gave it to my husband, told him we couldn't open it if he had any doubts, and sure enough, he decided he didn't want it. So I took it back to the store, unopened, receipt in hand, and the woman at the desk refused to refund my money. She said nobody would've told me it was returnable, pretty much accusing me of lying. I insisted that the clerk who sold it to me told me otherwise, to which she snapped, "I remember you! I sold you this telescope myself and there is no way I told you that!" I was astonished at the hostility of her accusation and tone. She most assuredly was NOT the one who sold it to me. That clerk had been very nice. Long story short, the best I could get her to do was a store credit. Still have not found anything there that I want for that amount of money. So, Hobby Lobby, you can congratulate yourself on stealing a pretty hefty amount of money from me and abusing me as part of the deal. My family and I went to purchase a Christmas tree today from our local Hobby Lobby store in Kennesaw. I have always loved This store and have shopped at several locations for years. Today changed the way I feel about this store. It is funny how one rude manager can change your perception. The tree that we selected turned out to be out of stock and we were asked if we wanted the display. I said "yes" as I really wanted to buy our tree and move on. My husband then went to the manager, I believe his name is Tony to ask if we could have a discount because we were getting the display.I was watching from a distance and noticed this manager didn't even made eye contact with my husband and was completely dismissive of any discussion whatsoever. He wasn't having it. He told my husband that we can get a refund. We are capable of excepting no discount, but the way he was dismissive, and the I really don't care attitude was very disappointing. the other day my friend went into this location and definitely experienced a discriminatory situation! after waiting in line for like 25 minutes to do a return when clearly the sign above the register read "returns and exchanges" was told she could not process her return when she had been waiting clearly with a receipt in hand and an item to be returned or exchanged. after being told that she went into another lane at the end to wait for her return and then also witnessed two people in front of her be taken that first register where their returns were processed. might I add that both of these customers are in fact Caucasian and my friend is not. I just feel like this is really unfair and the way the lady looked at my friend was totally uncalled for! really disappointed. read more
