There are a few booths with handmade things (one is a very interesting booth of clay art eyes and embroidery featuring Bigfoot, crows, and other cool things that I might give some of my more esoterically inclined friends). Other than these few legit booths of handicrafts, this store is a complete dud.

A light and airy space -- the former WalMart supermarket -- with scores of booths selling art, clothing, gifts, jewelry -- you get the gist. Unlike flea markets with a hodgepodge of sellers and items randomly placed, this store is well laid out with items carefully displayed. (A nutty thing to notice, but even the signage at each station is nicely printed and posted. No makeshift signs.) There are dressing rooms up front and clean restrooms. Even a lounge for vendors! Most sellers have discounted their holiday merchandise, with some offering reductions on all inventory.

I walked up to the young person at the desk and said hi. We did not have a reservation, but we would like to know where we can sit and she stared at me and said that she needed to check out the other customers and then she would let me know. We stood around for about 15 minutes and my niece was anxious to sit down, so did sit at a table. My husband and I went back up to the front while my niece and sister and her husband were walking around. At that time we walked back up to the front and two people are completely ignoring us while we're standing there. There's been several people walking in behind us and sitting at tables. As we are standing there, one of the people looked over at my niece and points and says what are they doing there? They then proceed to go over to a child and tell them that they cannot sit there. That's when I interrupted and said we've been waiting to see where we can sit we are happy to go anywhere and this person completely ignored us and the other girl at the front said she wasn't sure. We're standing there. People are behind us. People are walking up to the queue and the person that approached my niece ignored all of them until a lady spoke up and said she was here to pick up and then they said oh I thought you were with that party. The customer service was awful. We actually came here to help brighten up the spirits of my sister who had had an awful day. It took an hour just to get her to come out of the house and I did not make a reservation because I was not sure that we would be able to get her motivated to come. We were hoping that this would be a stress-free experience as the sign on the door says and something that would really bring her some joy instead it made her so upset and Feeling unwelcome. I was finally able to ask about some boxes that were sitting on a table to see is there anyway we could move to this two top while the rest of the party stand so that my niece and my sister could paint something small. The girl looked clueless, but said OK sure and went and moved the boxes off the table. I just felt like it would be appropriate to share this with the owner or the leadership team as there were several other patrons that were really ignored and this was not a great experience. Even if we didn't have a reservation acknowledging when we came in and providing us direction, would've been helpful instead of having us stand around while other people sat down and then have a child being approached and told to move.

Caitlyn and Hannah assisted us, they didn't have us place hearts inside, test the give of the stuffed animal, but had the groups before and after us do so. My stuffed animal wasn't stuffed fully and the stitching wasn't fully pulled closed. I have not been since I was a kid and was very disappointed with the quality of service shown today.

First, Town Center Mall is not as bumping as it once used to be...but I didnt feel like I had to look over my shoulder every couple of seconds or so as a mom with two kids 7 and under. The location was bright and welcoming. Having never been to a Build-A-Bear before, none of us knew what to do and the employees there were very patient and helpful. My daughter picked Glitzen a rainbow deer and my son picked a red T-Rex. They got to help stuff by stepping on the pedal and because Glitzen (aka Glitter) did not have her seam thread, the employee let them go create their "bear's" birth certificate while he stitched her up. The kids had $60 each so we left with Glitter, the deer, and three tutus for any and every occasion. We also left with Rex the T-Rex, a jedi light saber (he's a bad guy, because they only had red light sabers) and a jedi outfit and a t-shirt tux.

At few stores would I trust them to create this mystery gift for me sight unseen, but I had complete confidence in Doodlebugz! My trust was well placed. The online ordering was easy and I was able to pay with PayPal. I filled out a quick questionnaire about my friend's likes and preferences. Then they did their magic of choosing the perfect gift items. I even got a phone call on the day of delivery asking me if it would be ok for them to personally drop off the gift box to my friend (we were both local) so the box wouldn't get smushed during shipping. Another customer asked about the ornaments and while they were sold out currently, another shipment was arriving and there was a hold list. The shop is beautiful and has so much to offer! I made three loops in hopes I was able to look at everything, trying to think through the few remaining people on my gift list. While I did not find anything for those on my list, I found the most beautiful Georgia Tech ornament for a sweet friend who always surprises me with Auburn gifts. I was even offered complimentary gift wrapping when I purchased. I received a call back the same afternoon when the Braves ornaments were in. I wasn't able to return same day but when I did the ornaments were bagged and waiting for me. I even added two more Braves ornaments to my purchases from the same supplier. I'm so glad I was introduced to Mud Creek Market. I will definitely return!

You don't have to go downtown for your cute clothing needs. They have a full wall of really cute jewelry as well as some local made items. The carry the "Southern Line" as other shops in our area do. The employees are super nice! The go out of there wad to greet you and make sure you are well taken care of! I bought the cutest blue Boho dress and absolutely love it! I'll be back... probably more than I should ;-)
