I'm not a christian, but HL is the closest craft store to me. I just ignore their faith-based stuff. They have a great selection of craft supplies and sometimes their clearance section has some good stuff for cheap. Staff are helpful and do their best to help you find what you're looking for. They always have sales going on for seasonal stuff, and I always try to go when they have sales on The Paper Studio™ products. read more

Checkout is always a frustrating experience here. Item on sale? No sticker saying so? Unless you point it out, the cashiers will charge you full price. Item has no price sticker? They check in the back and give you a ridiculous price. When checked online, item was $6 and not $30. Keep an eye on the checkout process and you should be fine. read more

Excellent selection of home and outdoor decor, arts and craft supplies, seasonal decor, fabric and sewing supplies and much, much more! The store rotates the 50% off sale items every other week so there is always a great sale going on! Additionally, the Hobby Lobby app offers 40% off one item at regular price. The staff is very friendly and helpful but my only complaint is that the store is understaffed. It is difficult to find someone to help you and the checkout lines are very long because there is usually only 1-2 checkout lanes open. The staff here works very hard!!! read more

They have the longest, slowest lines of any Hobby Lobby that I've ever been to. They also have a bad habit of closing registers after you have been waiting in line. They need better management. read more

I am writing about a transaction at the Northport, Alabama Hobby Lobby store. I was having trouble getting the coupon to come up on my phone and asked if cashier (who'd spent the entire time talking past me to an employee about how she had to leave at 6 and her phone had been turned off) could help me. She curtly replied, "I'm not allowed to touch your phone, sorry." I was shocked, especially because I'd had this happen once before and the clerk at the Lakeshore Pkwy Birmingham, AL location was very kind. I had the site up on my phone but was having difficulty finding the right link to press. I simply said "Wow," flabbergasted that an employee would be so rude. I did not receive my discount and she and another employee were laughing at me as I left. I have spent over $500 at Hobby Lobby since May. Never again. Since I can't be helped with an advertised discount I'd rather give my business to Michael's or Joann's. I have also learned, after discussing this at length on social media, that there is a code that they can use if a customer cannot access the code. I can only assume zero customer service and a sheer lack of professionalism is a trait of the Northport, AL Hobby Lobby. read more

I am very disappointed that this store has not one bolt of any kind of Alabama fabric. I purchased some houndstooth in another Hobby Lobby, needing more I went there. Nothing! this is July, people need that now to get ready for football season. read more
