Visited June 13th. This place is inside the mall. It is huge inside.. D I Y paradise! Furniture. Home goods. Etc. They have really expanded in the last few years with so much to offer! I was looking for some baskets and shelving for my master bath. There was so many choices! I forgot to bring my measurements for a floor to ceiling shelf. DANG! Nice store. It was clean and well stocked. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I think it is a great Hobby Lobby location.

I would like to start off with something positive: the store itself is well-kept, nicely stocked, and offers everything I could ever need in terms of décor, arts, crafts, and more. Unfortunately, that is where the positives for this particular location end. I also want to make it clear that Hobby Lobby as a company should not be blamed for what I'm about to say. My concerns are specifically about the management at this store. The management here is, frankly, an absolute joke. They seem to believe that simply being in a position of authority gives them the right to belittle, intimidate, and disrespect anyone they consider "beneath them." They frequently establish and enforce rules that they themselves do not follow, yet they expect everyone else to comply without question. Certain managers in particular come to mind--Justin, Nancy, and the store director, Steve. I personally know someone who works here and has been with the store for quite some time. Almost every day, they come home stressed, upset, or even in tears, largely due to the behavior of management--especially Steve. He has consistently belittled, been passive-aggressive toward, and shown outright disrespect to this employee, as well as several others. Steve fails to fulfill his responsibilities as a store director. He is not only dismissive toward employee concerns but also disrespectful toward customers. When employees approach him with legitimate complaints, he rarely supports them. Instead, he displays blatant favoritism--so extreme it's sickening. His leadership style is essentially "my way or the highway," and because he is the store director, the rest of the management team follows suit. One of the most troubling issues is his use of write-ups and threats of disciplinary action as a means to scare and intimidate employees. This is unethical, unprofessional, and deeply damaging to workplace morale. Because Steve operates this way, managers like Nancy and Justin have adopted the same tactics. For example, an employee might face a write-up after calling out sick for two days, yet one of their "favorites" can call out repeatedly for weeks without facing any consequences. These examples are just the tip of the iceberg. The store itself is great, and again, I do not believe Hobby Lobby as a whole is at fault here. But something urgently needs to change within the management of this location--starting with Steve, the store director. The work environment is toxic, demoralizing, and flat-out unacceptable. Steve isn't just allowing this environment to exist--he is the reason it exists, and the other managers follow his lead. It's important to note that what I've written is not only based on what I've been told by employees but also on my own direct experiences as a customer. read more

I'm baking so I wanted to get food dye, I asked multiple employees if they had black food dye because I couldn't find any in the baking section and multiple of them didn't want to answer my questions and didn't even wanna look in the back to see if they could help me find some or anything they just made it really awkward when I would talk to them like as if I wasn't supposed to ask them questions like as if they don't work there, Boss was talking to all of his coworkers and all of them were just talking amongst themselves, but wouldn't even help customers, they were just incredibly disrespectful and rude, and just simply didn't seem like they wanted to be at their job. When I left the establishment because no one helped me I called two minutes later to see if they had food dye and they had to let me know that they would check in the back and that they did have one, therefore, I told him I just asked multiple of you guys if you guys had any and no one had to let me know anything or even helped me and I said if they could hold it for me at the register by the time I get there and they told me that they weren't allowed to do that so they can leave it in the fabric section and have me just look for it. read more

This is only my second time shopping at a hobby lobby. I think from here on out, this may be one of my one stop shops. Everywhere that I was looking for a specific item, even though they had it listed as available online, did not have it. Even stores that only sold the specific item I was looking for were completely out. Hobby lobby not only had more than enough, their telephone customer service was on point. While they were not able to hold items so that they could be picked up, like I requested, I appreciated that they said that there was a good amount and that I did not have to worry about anything running out. Everything there was a decent valuethe areas were clean, and all the workers seemed in good spirits, and were knowledgeable of where items were placed. I am definitely going to be coming back here again. read more

I asked a young man at the front desk where I could find craft item and he told me "maybe in this section here," as we waved an arm at a large area that after several minutes revealed nothing. I looked in other areas but did not find what I was looking for. I found myself back at the entrance and the same man was still there'd alone, doing nothing who did not even look up at me as I approached the checkout area. Framing Shop Review: I wanted to write about our experience with the framing shop at the Yuba City Hobby Lobby. Tiffany and her associates helped my wife and I on a number of occasions over the last month. We were extremely impressed with her professionalism, courtesy and competence. She has a keen eye for composition of mattes and frames and our home is the better for it. It's rare to find someone so enthusiastic for their job, especially in customer service. Tiffany's passion shows through day-in and day-out, and makes it a joy to visit. We'll keep coming back. I couldn't give a higher recommendation. Customer Service DOES NOT EXIST at this hobby lobby. I was buying 10 of the exact same products a few were listed for $2.99 and the others for $3.99. It was the exact same product number as well and the manager Steve refused to adjust the price on the $3.99 stating that there's been a price change. They also don't accept electronic payment and when I came back with the cash the cashier Jazmyne had told me to come back to her. I returned to her station and ignored me and continued to take on multiple new customers in the never ending line. I then asked her if she wants me to continue waiting with her or to get in line again. Would have been nice to have been informed initially instead of waiting where she initially told me to. This was my first time here and this Horrible shopping experience made it my last. Do better Hobby Lobby. read more

Went in for a can of polyurethane spray, asked twice for help, they called over the loud speaker and still no one came to help us, went to Michael's instead! Very poor service read more

I love Hobby Lobby. I spend more then I should when going here. Especially at Christmas. It's always clean. The people that work here are extremely nice. The check out time is the only bad part. The Wi-Fi don't work & they can't look stuff up. Other then that love this store. read more

This place has horrible customer service. Went in to look around, and found a can of spray paint I wanted and asked 4 different people if they can open the case, they all kept saying that somebody named "Jim" was the only person with a key, and he never came to open the case. I waited a half hour, and somebody who appeared to be a shit manager ahold me they were "short staffed," but I saw at least 8-9 people in the store, not helping customers, and three of them were up front seeming to do nothing. Looks like I'll be continuing to use the internet to make my hobby purchases. I was excited for this store to open in our town, and now sad I won't be going back. read more

Positive atmosphere. Always sales going on. Beautiful merchandise. This is my favorite store to shop in.

Let me start by saying I absolutely LOVE Hobby Lobby. I have shopped in SoCal with them for years and I was so excited to have them open in my new home town of Yuba City. I am in awe of how many boxes are stacked unopened in the aisles , a customer can not even get through most of the seasonal area. In the last month I have been in this store 4 times and the SAME boxes remain unopened and sitting in the aisles. I worked for many years at Nordstrom and know first hand that NOTHING sells in an unopened box. I have NEVER seen anyone working on them so I asked the cashier one day and she said she had no idea why they were still sitting there except they were short staffed. This is not Hobby Lobby at it's finest for sure. I have never seen this at any of their others stores . I asked the manager one day who was standing at the entrance holding a clip board asking our zip codes and he just indicated that they hadn't gotten to it yet???? It's been another month?? Someone from Corporate needs to jump in here you're loosing money by the hour and you have a failed manager. read more
