The biggest Hobby Shop in Australia and I'm so pleased it's here in Sydney. It's a young kid's dream and a grown ups heaven. Hobbyco stocks a large range of hobby products such as plastic model kits, Radio Controlled Models, Lego & Meccano, Model Railroad, Anime & Collectable figures, Gundam kits, Slot Cars, Jigsaw Puzzles, Board Games and much more. Come in an explore. My area of interest are the collectable diecast aircraft. Don't go to the airport - come here. The only problem is my house is now looking like Hobbyco.

Slow service and poor customer service. Product selection seems also declining over the past few years.

Surprisingly, everything is inexpensive despite its WOW factor. I purchased a tea infuser in the shape of a silver robot as a present for a tea loving friend (see picture). She is bound to love this original and very cute gift! I will definitely be back in the near future to stock up on presents. I am often stuck for birthday ideas, but this place takes the hassle out of selecting an interesting gift. To give you an idea of the interesting items they sell- Scrabble mugs, slogan pillows, funny iPhone covers- and so on are a few examples. Take a look at their website and browse through their many items. If you don't have a store near you, purchase online through their website!

That's a pretty lucid word but that's what I think when I walk into this shop - 'oh, more stuff to buy for the novelty of it and then not really love or be useful for much.' I'm sure some of the things are useful - like the funny man cork stoppers or the felt snowflake cut out bench protectors or the crazy shaped lamps. Not a fan of the thin ply wood raindeer heads on the wall or the odd sized multi coloured letters. I guess it's just not my style. I would shop here for my 20 year old step brother who likes gimmicky things or if I needed a silly secret santa present. Ooo there was one thing I might have bought for myself - the plain smooth white tea pot with the swallow sitting on the lid. Yes, that was sweet.

An awesome dream factory where the past is created in the present. Toys for, not only for boys…read more Just White Toy Shop on the top level of the QVB in Sydney is a mountain of great quality toys not just for kids either. It's a crowded carnival of boxes, sounds and ambient memories from toys come to life. Many of you may not even recall how amazing recreated wind up robots, cars, tanks, people can take you back to a place where only your memories are. It's a tight fitting space and if it gets crowded, which it does you have to be careful not to knock toys of their shelves (not knock off as in steal people). There is something here for every occasion. My boys love just exploring the shelves and screaming in excitement whenever they discover some item of curiosity. Look I'm a big fan of branded products and enjoy watching my lovely boys interact between the movies, books, and activities of branded merchandise, however at Just White Toy Shop it's the freedom from branding (well mass branding as Just White offers quality branded products we don't buy as often as we might otherwise. There is a fantastic range of boys and girls toys but it's the expanded diversity of non gender specific toys that makes the store even more of a jewel. Prices for the hundreds of awesome toys cover all budgets and there are some lovely well made products that when you're looking for a present for one of your children or a children's friend will always bring total surprise. Games, books, wind up robots, cars, characters and tanks, creativity sets, soft toys, collectibles, jigsaw puzzles, problem solving toys, nota computer game in sight. Though I may be wrong in that statement because when I go to Just White Toy Shop it never occurs to me to look for computer games. This space is magical and worth the visit, even simply to enjoy the curiosity of your kids and yourself.

There is a bit of an old-fashioned vibe to this literally and spatially upmarket toy shop. Old fashioned wooden toys and mechanical windup robots, golliwogs. Hang on a sec, golliwogs? Really? Since when did they resit the PC exam and pass? If you're shopping for toys in the QVB you've obviously got a few coins to spare, so we're talking pricey here too. And I have to wonder, a lot of the toys seem more aimed at nostalgic adults than kids of today. French flash cards? Hmm... Even the dollshouse furniture is Swedish and uber-designed. The staff seemed friendly enough, but eyed me carefully. Or maybe it was just all the dolls. I hate dolls. Beady, beady eyes...

Just White - Nice cars I did not buy because I got freaked out by the racist rag dolls.
