My family spent last week in Hochatown. We usually eat out each of our dinners but because of COVID we decided that we would pick up dinner each night and eat at our cabin. I know it is a crazy time right now and doing so many take out orders is not easy but Hochatown Saloon was very pleasant about it. We ordered from there 2 different nights. The Catfish dinner was delicious! The fish was cooked perfectly. We had the okra and Mac & Cheese with it and they were good too. We also had a couple of the burgers. While they were good, they would have been great if they used fresh beef and not frozen patties. read more

We loved this place!!! We went several times during our 3 day weekend. Definitely had the coldest beer in town and great food. When all the other diners and restaurants in town had lines out the door for breakfast/brunch this place did not disappoint! Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was fun. It's a must try! read more

The food was decent. Service was HORRIBLE. We never got some of the things we ordered. We had to flag our waitress down for silverware so our food was getting cold before we could even eat. Never were offered refills. Had to flag her down again. She only refilled two of the four drinks. Ended up asking another server to get our checks. Would not recommend. read more

We arrive on a super busy Sunday night. The wait was about 30 min. Food was phenomenal. Chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak were both so good. Definitely has a bar feel but was completely appropriate for families with younger kids. Would definitely visit again! read more

Visited this place for the first time while vacationing here. By far the best restaurant we ate at while here and the best customer service!!! We had fried catfish, the Ribeye and chicken fried steak and all were excellent!! Also their Strawberry margarita was very good!!! Will def come back here on our next visit!!! read more

Not good for large groups who are hungry. Got there when the doors opened and got drinks 45 min in and took an hour and a half for our food. We were fixing to leave and finally our food came. The staff who brought the food did not know who it belonged to and my mom had to pass out our plates cause our server was elsewhere and we were so hungry. Cool little spot by our cabin. It has two bars upstairs and one downstairs in the main restaurant area. Set up like an old timer saloon. Had the triple decker club and wife had the chicken tenders. Both were very good and we highly recommend the chips and queso. Good cocktail list and beer choices also. Will come back on our next trip to Hochatown for sure. read more

My wife and I were visiting broken bow on vacation last weekend. Every other restaurant in the area had really long waiting times. We found this restaurant and what an amazing experience. From the moment you walk in they wanna take care of you. The hostess was so patient with my wife not making up her mind about where she wanted to sit. We ended up going for the patio, nice music and good vibes. We ordered two steaks and the were grilled to perfection. We will be coming back next year for sure. read more

We scheduled reservations, but upon arrival (even though we had reservations) that it would be an hour wait... after we waited finally got sat. Our food eventually came out (an hour later) and missed something from almost every order. They forgot my wives whole salad after all that. While it took a while for the food to be ready, the wait staff was able to accommodate our large party and when the food arrived, it was great. Was not impressed with the food. I had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes my steak was overcooked, mashed potatoes were so gross they looked like grits and tastes sour as with the gravy. Hochatown Saloon isn't that bad, honestly, but there were so many small things that just kept myself and my husband from rating this restaurant higher. When we walked in we were seated immediately. I went back to the car to get something and while I was gone they seated my husband. There are many places to be seated, with the main level sporting the stage and regular height tables and chairs. The second floor had a bar, billiards, and high top tables and chairs. We would have liked to have sat upstairs, but we weren't given the option and we didn't want to ask after the fact. To drink my husband ordered a beer and a water, and I ordered a root beer (I don't really drink). My husband commented that the beer tasted old and his water seemed musty. My root beer was fine My husband ordered the prime rib and I ordered the salmon. Once our food arrived his side of green beans and my side of asparagus were not ready. We both ordered loaded baked potatoes as our other side. Mine was good, his was missing butter and sour cream (not so loaded without that stuff). His steak came out medium which was how he ordered it. My salmon, although it did taste good, was overcooked, especially on the bottom. There were also small bones in my salmon which I am aware is normal, but was also unexpected. A warning on the menu would have been nice. My husband mentioned his steak, although cooked to medium, seemed as though it was only halfway seasoned. He also mentioned that it was good, but wasn't worth the amount they were charging. After we were done eating it did take a while for our waitress to bring the check, and when she did we noticed that our meals were priced higher than the menu said it would be. Not a huge amount but we were both taken aback by the fact that the price was at least a couple dollars different on both of our meals. Overall it was an above average experience. I did appreciate that the tables weren't crammed together, and the music wasn't so loud that I couldn't hear my husband. If the small things mentioned above get fixed, as well as adjusting their menu prices to be closer to what the meals are worth, then this would be a great place to eat. read more

Horrible service, RUDE waitresses and management and bartenders. We waited an hour for food we never got. The order took so long that we left. We were never checked on again after in that entire order. Our waitress was EATING during the hour We waited. One other lady tried to blame it on being busy but when we sat down there were only 4 other full tables. None in our waitresses section... It took thirty minutes to get two drinks. For all the shit we went through with them trying to get a check for TWO beers, they should've given them to us for free. When I was trying to get the total for our two drinks so we could leave this hell hole, I approached the waitress to hear her better (and stood 6 feet away), she yelled "FIRST OF ALL MAAM DONT GET ALL UP IN MY FACE".
