Awkward enough the temperate inside the rink is way warmer than in any other indoor rink I've been to causing the ice quality to usually be on the shitty side but overall it's still a good time and very well maintained. As far as parking goes, there's a private lot in the front making things very easy, especially for us hockey players who have to drag a ton of heavy equipment in and out every time.

One thing is for sure, there is a TON of things to do here. It was a little overwhelming for me because I wasn't super comfortable sitting around and not always seeing where the kids were (kudos to the parents who can do that). They're kids, so staying in one area longer than three minutes is impossible lol. There are different sections, lots of jumping areas, and many slides. The party area was packed. There were a lot of birthday parties happening. I noticed they have 9 party rooms, plus additional tables outside for parties without rooms, which added to how crowded it felt. At one point, they closed one of the areas because someone lost something and they had to search for it, which was inconvenient since that's where the kids were playing and were actually there longer than 3 minutes lol. There's also a lot of young (20 and under) staff working, which is interesting. They're present, but overall felt pretty hands-off, especially given how packed the place was. I also used the women's bathroom and out of 5 stalls, 4 didn't have toilet paper. The bathroom itself wasn't very clean and felt poorly maintained. When we went to get drinks, there was a long line and only one person working the front desk, so it took a while just to pay which cut into the allotted time for the kids. All that said, the kids enjoyed it. My son had been here before and wanted to come back with his cousin. He especially loves the soccer area, which was a big hit for him doing it is his favorite sport. I wouldn't say I wouldn't come back, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially with maintenance and staff being more attentive to the areas they're responsible for.

Swings, slides, a cool two-arm digging crane, a zip wire, general store window and of course, the obligatory tic tac toe board, Barry's playground will keep you entertained for hours. My only criticism is that the wood chip mulch is too hard and all of the hand holds and sliding poles and other things to cling to with your hands are made out of pure steal and on a hot summer day your child may receive some 2nd degree burning. for this reason i have limited myself to patronizing barry's playground to midnight and later.

The structure is definitely for more older kids but used by the little ones. I am often concerned about safety when the older kids run around and play Tag as they tend to be oblivious to the fact that there are some toddlers also on the structure. There are some basketball courts nearby so there are often guys playing a game. Of course, this means that girls are also nearby and their vulgar language can be heard at the playground; not the type of language I'd want my toddler overhearing! All in all, it's a nice clean playground.

Duggar Park has been a West Meffa institution since my Dads younger days (he just turned 70!), back when West was the predominantly Black neighborhood of Medford. The Rhône tennis courts were named after a well known resident, and events are held throughout the spring/summer here. There's 2 playgrounds here, a sprinkler some tennis courts and a basketball court all along the Mystic river neighboring Somerville. And maybe even once in awhile you'll catch the ice cream truck stopping by. I have so many great memories of this park from the 80s/90s there's no reason why it doesn't deserve 5 stars. It's a great local small park if you're in the area great for kids and families.

She was at the front desk when I called at around 3. I had called to schedule a tennis court appointment for Monday and she said that non-members can only schedule a court the same day. I booked 2 courts in the last couple of weeks, paid 60 for one hour each because I am a non member, and have already played there booking 2 days in advance MULTIPLE TIMES. I told her I have already played there, and she said that it was not true, and said whoever let me do that shouldn't have in the rudest street-like manner. However before I was told by others from the front that we could book 2 days in advance to do that and I did! Then she screamed at me, telling me that "we put members first!", and I told her that all types of members count and that she is discriminating against me. She then rudely said she didn't have time to speak with me since there were members there and loudly hung the phone up on my face, she acting like a child. Someone with a bad attitude and a short fuse should not be working since they can't treat customers right. I am your clientele WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. Period. If you don't respect your non-members, then why don't you give me back what I paid??? Exactly.... I called again quickly and she said again this is Rhonda and I asked her if this is Rhonda. She then denied this was Rhonda though she obviously is. (What a joke) I also asked for the manager and she said there is no manager other than her. I'm not stupid, she is acting like condescending trash. She then started yelling at me again. I was the wrong person to be on the other side of this exchange. She should absolutely be reprimanded for treating non-members like this!!!!!!! I reached out to both the general and assistant general managers. If you are not currently part of this club, DO NOT SIGN UP. They treat people badly like this, but gladly take your money for rentals.
