The ground level loves bugs. Our room also had some type of odor. Water pressure or flow in the sink was quite light. The Good: There are things to do if you're no hiking at the moment. The live music was nice as is pool (until the children finish destroying it), ping pong, games, smores, and drinking for those lushes out there. Yes, there is a pool, but it is small and typically has children. This is a resort place. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Give'm a raise but don't raise the outrageous room rate. Would I come back? Yes, I would but would not take the ground level. There are a few other things I would change, but nothing horrible, though the Cafe can go away as I'll never pay for the overpriced items.

The reason for me giving 3 stars is that the photos posted by the owners are quite deceptive regarding the distance from a busy highway. As you can see from my photos, CO-19 is approximately 30 feet from the cabin. Without the TV on, you can hear constant traffic even with the door closed. Trying to sit on the porch to relax was impossible because the road is so loud. The cabin is basically as pictured on the website, very homey and comfortable, and the other 3 cabins are far enough from Luna's to allow for privacy. We would have definitely had a wonderful, romantic honeymoon weekend if it hadn't been for the constant noise.

Website says no landline phone so bring your cell if you need to have a phone? However there is NO CELL SERVICE AT ALL. No calling at all....not even texting. This was infuriating because some of us have elderly family we have to be able to contact. Your website is very misleading. My father is almost 90 and I really counted on being able to call him when we arrived at Dogwood. Please update your website? If we would have known this we would have stayed elsewhere. One word for the water.....SULFUR. The water was so bad that it ended up turning all our sterling jewelry orange, and that was bad considering we only bathed twice. :O With all the water treatment options available now and with what you had installed downstairs for water treatment it was too bad about our jewelry and the odor. Hope our jewelry can be fixed! No hand towel rings. There are several places to mount a towel holder by the bathroom sink. Also.... no place to set your toiletry supply bag. Hard for the ladies especially. Lack of dinnerware. Only 2 ceramic dinner sized plates and the rest were tin. Really? Dollar Tree has some really nice ceramic plates for $1 each. Light bulb out on ceiling fan and the whole place is dim so you need all the light you can get. Kitchen would REALLY benefit from light strips under the cabinets. No light at all in shower. Could hardly see to bathe! Also need a lighted vent fan in bathroom. No sponge or kitchen dishrag of any kind to hand wash dishes. Need at least a sponge there and more than just one dish towel. The place was nice enough but not $200 a night nice. Honestly.... this was the most expensive cabin we have stayed in and the least nice, and we have stayed in many cabins. Hopefully you will at least consider our comments to make some improvements. And being that we never received any kind of response from several emails to Doug AND to our comments per above when sent to him, wont be staying here ever again.

Clear Creek Metro Park is basically in the back yard and stunning! Susan was warm and friendly and a gracious host. Sadly due to COVID-19 there were no meals but she did bake some delicious muffins for breakfast and delivered them to your cabin. The cabin was clean and cozy, perfect for a lone traveler or a couple. There is not kitchen but a clean and working mini fridge and microwave. I could not be more please by this experience and look forward to coming back next year!

The cabin was small, cozy and spotlessly clean - we had a great time and loved the hot tub and hiking the surrounding area. Loved how close it was to all the major attractions and hiking spots - and liked the fact that there's no cell service or Internet so it's truly a tech-free getaway. This time, we came down for some winter hiking and stayed in cabin #3. We loved it even more! Slightly bigger with a separate upstairs loft bedroom that our daughter just LOVED. I don't know how Cindy and her team of cleaning elves keep these cabins so spotless - truly cleaner than home! Loved the slightly larger kitchen in #3 and adorable eat-in breakfast nook. We hiked down to Ash Cave and Cedar Falls and enjoyed the gorgeous frozen waterfalls even without any snow in sight. This is a little slice of heaven - so close to Columbus, so pet friendly and SUCH a true getaway deep in the heart of natural beauty. We'll be back!

We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit roasting marshmallows for s'mores. The only two complaints are that the bed was very uncomfortable and we each were only given ONE wash cloth to use for the entire time we were there. I hiked 13 miles on Saturday. More towels would have been nice.

My son and I drove down from central Ohio to swim and boat, and we decided to get a late lunch at the lodge. As noted in an earlier review, everything here is made from scratch. They also have an extensive Ohio beer and wine list, too. Very good for those staying in the nearby cabins or campsites. They have Lake Erie fish, Ohio bred beef and chicken, vegetarian dishes, and on occasion, ribs. The service was exceptional...local people who knew the history of the park and the area. We were lucky enough to be here on a breezy summer day with a temp of about 75 degrees. We sat at one of the four tables on the outside deck overlooking the lake. Sumptuous food, unbelievable view, and sterling service. We will be back and will be bringing family & friends. Dessert, by the way, consisted of brownie with fresh made cream and s'mores. Not the light lunch I had planned, but you only go around this topsy turvy merry go round once. Enjoy! (Ohio just poured a huge pile of cash into renovating its parks, so perhaps the beach and boathouse area, dated but serviceable, will be renovated soon?) The location was great - less than 2 miles to a great hiking location. The bed and couch were comfy. The gas fireplace was great. The hot tub was large, though I wish I could have turned it up higher, it seemed capped at 99 degrees. The website does list some items to bring, but it wasn't quite accurate. For example, they did provide a lighter even though they said to bring one. They also provided soap, paper towels, and a very well-stocked kitchen including a pizza pan and bunt cake pan, in addition to the usual items. There was a dishwasher, a very clean fridge, and a clean new looking washer/drier. They also provided bar soap, lotion, and towels, but NO body wash or shampoo. Firewood was $5 a bundle.
