My first judgement on a company is do they have a website & how easy is it to use. My 2nd judgement is the first interaction with a person and my 3rd is: does what the website say match what the people are giving me. Yes Yes Yes for HomeRite! I still can't get over that it was one guy (Rj) who completed install of 5 windows in 2 days! I'm a super perfectionist so the first thing I looked at was the caulking lines. Smooth & near perfect - be fair.. no one is perfect! We had constant communication with the HomeRite team including Brittani & Jason. They double checked their measurements before install. We had a call on the first day of install asking how it was going. I really felt like we were their only customers. No one gives one on one attention like that anymore! Second day RJ called to let us know he was running behind. He said he expected to be here by 930am and was several minutes earlier than that. It's a delight having our new windows and screens in our home. I can open the windows with one finger, they tilt in for easy cleaning, and the screens are easy to take out as needed. Excellent team, excellent product! We'll be using them again!

My husband & I were looking to enclose our office and our opening was not standard size. I did some…read moreresearch and thought a transom above French doors might be a good solution. I was very close to ordering a transom from Etsy, but decided to look locally first. I'm so glad I took the time to get quotes bc we ended with something that was far better than we could have hoped. I sent an email with pictures of similar products and Mike Saltzer replied with a tentative quote. He came out and measured the opening. A few days later, we went to the shop and chose some different types of glass. We opted for three varieties of textured glass for the inner border and chose 5 different antique stained glass colors to add interest to the piece. When Mike came to install the window there was a problem. The guy that installed the French doors came back after Mike had done the measurements and added a board that went the whole way across the top as reinforcement. That was a major fail on our part, but Mike was so gracious about it. He had to adjust the wooden border that the transom was going to be set inside. A few days later, he came back with his apprentice and did the installation. We are thrilled with our new leaded glass transom and love the soft colors and light coming through. It definitely makes our entryway look high-end and less of a cookie-cutter new build house. We also think it's a cool touch to be able to say the colorful glass is all antique and some panels are from other countries. We are happy to support a local family-owned business that has been here in Lower Paxton for generations. Mike was a pleasure to work with and took his time to allow us to choose something that we will enjoy for decades.
