It's the first full-sized outdoor field positioned under a clear-span forty foot roof in Chicago's South Suburbs. At 125,000 square feet, the "MAX" incorporates 79,000 square feet of turf, two full-sized basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a baseball/softball academy. The entire building is climate controlled - both heat and air-conditioning - to allow for comfortable year-round usage. The field house accommodate private and public sports (clubs) like soccer, lacrosse, football, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, kickball, and dodge ball. They also have a spectator mezzanine which allows for terrific sight-lines from all locations and a relaxed, roomy environment for the players, coaches and spectators. During our day long event we had lunch at the concession stand but a vending area is also available. One of the cool thing I learned about the MAX was it can be rented for birthday parties. You book the party, pay the rental fee, get a party coordinator, bring a cake, pick a concession package and let the kids run themselves to sleep. The slides were fun and well-monitored. Lines weren't excessively long. They enjoyed the diving board and chute slide, too, and did plenty of laps in the lazy river. Water temperature was very nice. Seems like the guards, for the most part, were on top of any rowdiness or misbehavior. Snack bar was nice - one of the friendly teens even tracked down my young daughter when she forgot to claim her fifty cents in change. We had a fun time!

As well the ice cream shack we always buy from and advertised as part of what we're getting was closed everytime we came there.

Now the owner was nice and didn't charge us for extending our time. Overall my daughter loved it but 265.00 for the space no food or drinks and 5 kids including the birthday recipient is a bit too high and 10.00 for each additional kid.

A holy-grail destination for summer days with kids. They have a lazy river full of innertubes, and giant 2.5 foot deep pool with a play structure and various splashing items, plus a splash pad, and a junk food concession. It is neither a real swimming pool nor a water park. Not a real swimming pool because the deepest part of the pool is 2.5 feet deep. Not a water park because there's no actual waterslide, though there is a slide ... into the water -- if you grasp the distinction I'm making. But as a consequence this means that you can feel much more comfortable giving even young kids a decent amount of freedom (obviously not too much! be safe!) and generating the kind of wet, chlorinated, hot, happy, exhausted summer day that you may have grown up with as a kid. Chicago is a big city of rich amenities, so there are not a ton of things that I say are clearly worth a 45 minute drive from my house, but this is one of them.

This is a well designed water recreational area. It has been changed, upgraded and redesigned throughout the years, but still here providing a great relaxing service to this community and visitors. You can grab a towel at the nearby Marshalls, and sunscreen as well. Plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby if you would like to enjoy a picnic with your family as well. Wonderful selection of things to play with, though this isn't really a "museum". Because it isn't a museum, it does seem a little crazy that they charge for adults. All of the indoor play places I've visited in Phoenix (where I live) they only charge for the child. But my son had so much fun it was worth it! His favorite were the treehouse and the cars. But Taylor Park is still one of the best parks in Oak Park for getting exercise and observing nature up close. We watched two playful red-wing blackbirds for 20 minutes, and listened to their sweet bird calls from our spot on the marshy bridge. It was really lovely! Muddy and marshy!! But perfectly lovely. Oak Park has many beautiful spaces but Taylor Park is especially beautiful to me. It's larger that most others and has a lovely hill, marshy region, walking path, shade trees and soccer field in addition to tennis courts and a really excellent playground that older kids can enjoy, too. There are even a few trees that are suitable for climbing which is cool to find in a more urban park. I stop by to play Pickle Ball in the tennis courts with my dad. The courts are very well maintained. It's early in the season and a bit chilly still, but we have never had to wait for a court this year. I'm sure things will pick up next month. Easy, plentiful, and free street parking. Fun to visit any season.

This park is an excellent location to bring your children. The park is nestled in a beautiful community and the maintenance of it is well kept. My niece and nephews loved this park. The boys really loved the splash pad. The walking trails around the lagoon are awesome for exercise. This is a great park to come to on the hot summer days and play.
