I had a coupon for an interior and exterior clean. The Hoffman I use regularly does not do interior cleaning although free car vacs are available there. The interior clean was satisfactory but took longer than in the past. Is it challenging to get workers or is the company unwilling to hire more? Probably the former. The exterior clean is not as good here in CP as it is at the Hoffman on Troy Schenectady Road since it is a newer location. Also, the course and length of wash time are longer on Troy-Sch Road. read more

If there was a zero star, I would have selected that. My issue is not about the wash itself it's about their customer service and negligence. On two occasions my car tire got damaged - the first time it was completely slashed, and I had to replace it. The second time I got a bolt stuck in it and had to get a plugged. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but the second time I was more aware based upon my previous experience and the fact I just pulled out of the wash. When I discussed with the Assistant Manager and Customer Service and gave me the runaround of all the reasons why my tire damage couldn't have happened on their property. I have effectively cancelled my service and will NOT be going back to Hoffman Car wash, especially the Clifton Park location. read more

Let's begin... Cracked my Windshield, ruined my rims. Does a good job washing my car. Way overpriced at $41.. which I'll never pay again.. it was supposed to be 28.99 plus tax. For the 1st month special..so I had a sticker from a few months back 55 days.. I asked him before he processed it to make sure it's only $28.99. he said he swiped it at that but when in went through it changed to $41... I paid extra for them to clean the inside and I'm not sure what they cleaned. My car looked nice from a distance but when I got out I looked and there were dried soap spots everywhere. It made my car look like it had been side swiped (check out attached pictures). The service was friendly and I thought they were welcoming and personable however I'm very disappointed in my wash and cleaning. I'd rather go down the road somewhere else. read more

I took my 2011 Honda pilot for the interior package detail, which was to include carpet cleaning, two step surface cleaning, seat cleaning and a car wash. It's an old car but the stains on the seats did not come out and the seats were really wet. Guess they did one run thru with the extractor and didnt get the dirt or the water out. Even with the plastic covering on the seat, my jeans got wet driving home. I had to spot clean at home later with Bissell spot cleaner. The carpet was clean but they didn't vacuum the back of the seats. You could still see the sand. White droplets/overspray from the dash cleaner was on the Windshield. Not worth the almost $200 fee. The sides of the doors are fabric and were not touched. Again I had to clean them later at home. Waste of my time and money. read more

Though I congratulate the manager of Hoffman's Car Wash in Kingston, for handling this complaint swiftly, I take offense with the arrogant and insolent manner of one of his employees. Here is the situation. I asked if they could clean the rear of my car since it needed cleaning. For the last 2 cleans it hadn't been cleaned satisfactorily. The male attendant said that they don't clean the rear of the cars any more. When I repeated that the last two cleanings showed the rear of the car was still dirty he said, "I don't car." The manager came out and heard the conversation we were having and when I told him how the young man said, "I don't care" then proceeded with the same young man laughing at me and accusing me of lying the manager asked the young man to go into the office. The female attendant who was present for the whole thing said nothing in my presence. My complaint is with the young man who obviously shouldn't have a job working with customers. read more

Not the worst car wash experience, but I've certainly had better experiences at other Hoffman locations. I was hovering on three stars, but if 2.5 is average, I'd say this location is just below average. I paid for an interior and exterior car wash, and it seemed like anything which required human attention lacked anything resembling effort. On one hand, I saw four to five dedicated workers swarming the car to wash interior windows and vacuum, but when I got into the car, major parts had been overlooked. To be clear, I was not expecting a detail service. I was, however, expecting them to move the mats to vacuum and actually remove the debris from the center console. Not to thrilled with my first experience with Hoffman Carwash. I just had the truck detailed and clayed a week ago at another location where I have a monthly membership and my truck was spotless. Here I am a week later trying to find a new place as I'm traveling in this area for awhile. I purchased the monthly membership here for $54 which I was told it was a complete and thorough cleaning. They ran my truck through the wash and called me to pick it up. It was still covered with debris. I was shocked that this is how they return the vehicles. Especially since they are working for tips! I had them run it through again and once again it came out dirty as seen in the attached pics. As I watched them wipe it down I noticed that they were wiping the dirt and continued to use the same dirty rags to dry the vehicle and create scratches in the surface of the clear coat. For almost $50 I would expect the car to be clean, not the case. While they had at least a dozen workers, we had to wipe several areas that were not clean, vacuuming missed several areas, windshield was not cleaned on the inside. When we complained the attendant gave us some towels and asked us to pull the car around to the side while we cleaned it ourselves! Horrible. I was very disappointed when I paid for my premium car wash and was given back my car in when I find to be unacceptable shape. Second time that I was disappointed with the service of the Clifton Park location. I paid for interior and exterior cleaning, wheel shine and under carriage cleaning. The vacuuming was poor, the wiping down of the interior was not completely done and the wheels defminutely were not done. So it leaves me to believe that the under carriage was not done either. Absolutely overpriced to an absurd amount and to be truthful I could get a better carwash by taping a garden hose to my dog and tying a treat to the end so he chases it around...customer service is mediocre at best and aggravating at worst, they not only don't seem like they're in a good mood at all, but they look mad or upset that you even came in in the first place. Screws up your mirrors, license plate, and wipers every time I've been through the tunnel, so you have to park after to fix all that and dry off the car since they don't anymore even if you ask nicely...2/10 only because of convenient location... read more

The dashboard was half wiped, stains left on compartment, steering wheel not touched, windows streaked, doors still dusty. I'm not sure what they wiped down. Went home and cleaned the car myself. Do not go to this car wash I brought my brand new2020 car to get a wash and it came out with a broken windshield they refused to accept responsibility and we're very rude they told me that my brand new car must have had a chip in the windshield which caused it to crack luckily I have glass coverage these people are greedy rude and completely unprofessional I take meticulous care of my vehicle like it was an infant and has less than 4000 miles on it and they tried to tell me that the windshield was already chipped in this is why it broke when they're hot water touched it you use this car wash you use it at your own risk but take my advice do not go here! First of all, let me say that I have taken my wife's vehicle to this location on several occasions and there has never been any major problems. Went to Hoffman's this past Saturday with my Buick for an inside/out service. Used a coupon that was given to my by one of my supervisors at work - no problem at all. Pulled up in 3rd lane with 2 cars ahead of me. Wasn't super busy at the time. Inside was supposedly cleaned. No vacuuming of the trunk at all. Trunk was by no means filthy (had nothing in it, either) and it would have taken 45 seconds to vacuum. Car wash itself was OK. People doing the final interior work after car was washed did a TERRIBLE job. Dashboard wasn't thoroughly cleaned and there were all kinds of streaks on the inside of the windshield. Instrument panel still had dust on it. Got the car home only to find gouges in my left rear rim that weren't there when I left my home that day. Didn't bother calling or going back about the rim because Hoffman's would just say that they weren't responsible. Seems like it's all about money and how fast they can get the cars through the line with no emphasis on pride or quality of work. I'm glad I didn't pay for the service. Never going back with my car again. Hoffman's can take their services and stick them straight up their ass. read more

Terrible place, they don't even pre-spray your vehicle down anymore before it enters the wash. What a ripoff. My truck had dried mud all over it and they just sent it into the wash brushes without even prewashing it. Almost blew a gasket on the ignorant idiots they have working at this place. Who scrubs a car before spraying it first???? wtf. Place has gone downhill significantly over the years. They don't have much competition in the area, and my personal opinion is they have cut costs because they know people don't have other options. The WORST car wash I have ever been to. I'm new to the area and figured I would try Hoffmans out. I bought a 2/54 special. The first wash I got, supposed to be full service, left large parts of my Jeep dirty on the exterior. The interior was slightly wiped down, but was still dirty. The inside of the windows was untouched. I had to go to walmart and buy supplies to finish the wash myself, interior and exterior. I figured it might have been a one time occurrence so I figured I would go back since I had a card for the second wash I purchased. The second wash was MUCH worse. Other than being vacuumed, the interior was not done at all and the entire back if the jeep was completely unwashed. What makes it worse is the idiot employee who dried my car off fully knew it was still unwashed and totally let it go. Horrible place. I'm never wasting my money again. read more

I have had an unlimited wash sticker for quite a few years and every time i go the quality is worse and worse. I have the ultimate exterior wash, think with what I pay a month that the service would be a lot better. In the beginning my vehicle was sprayed before I went through then dried after it was done. Now it is never sprayed even when I ask them to, absolutely no drying of vehicle anymore other than what the air dryers do. Service is unbelievably horrible. I now will wash my own vehicle as it is done right and I take pride in what I own, but unfortunately salt does a lot of damage so I do use it frequently in the winter months just to get rid of the salt. Oh and believe me I inspect the job and have actually gone through 3 or 4 times consecutively just to prove my point that the quality of this place is definitely not what it used to be and they are well aware of how I feel. If there was another unlimited car wash I would definitely switch if it was worth it. If your quality of workmanship is going to suck then stop upping you dame prices !!!! read more

Never cared enough to post a yelp review until this experience - Would give Zero Stars if possible. Incompetent. Terrible. Stalled my car multiple times and then crashed it into the wash track, cracking the oil pan. Of course no one would accept liability ($500 repair). Quality of the interior cleaning was also poor, despite raising the price for a "thorough" cleaning due to COVID. Streaks everywhere, soap suds all over carpet from the all-weather mats. Employees were very friendly to my face (heard them complain to one another that I was observing). Went there to get an exterior and interior cleaning. I haven't been there in a few years. I drove up and didn't see the menu of the choices for different services. I said to the attendant who came over, I would like to see the choices for an interior and exterior clean. She pretended she couldn't get the list out of her pocket. She said $48. I thought that was extremely high and said so. I started looking at how to leave and then she says $42 if you don't have undercarriage and wheels done. I said fine though was remembering getting 2 similar services for less than that amount the last time I was there. I will say they did a good job on the interior. I took my pick up truck there and they were digging in the cab for things that could potentially fly out. They didn't ask permission and when this was addressed with management they said they don't have to. They don't have to stop and ask everyone if they can go in the bed of the truck and remove things, they don't have time. Yet they have to ask what u would like done with the stuff they remove. if you let of sucks media they remove it. Two reasons why they are only getting a 3 star review. 1) is they are very pricey for what services they actually preform. 2) their ultimate car wash which is their most popular service. They claim the only wipe the dash and windows and vacuum. I understand that I am NOT getting to full detail but if I am paying $35 for an Ultimate inside and out car wash. Then at least you can do is wipe off my center consul. And make sure 75% of the brake dust is off of my rims. It's unfortunate that Clifton Park doesn't appear too be customer oriented. On Father's Day I had a incident where one of their employees cut in front of me from the full service section while i was in the express car wash lane almost causing an accident. He even went out of his way to cut me off. When I confronted the rude employee he wound up giving me the finger. When I addressed this with the manager I was told the full service customers were waiting for their cars and they needed to get it to them quickly. So me being just a express customer I'm second class? Hey manager my money is as good as any one else and I expect speedy and good service also. If you are someone that drives a demo car from a dealership as your primary vehicle you are not allowed to use the monthly membership - paid for out of my own pocket in order to keep my car clean. I've had Hoffman's CARWASH unlimited plan for years and have turned so many people on to it. Recently I tried a new CARWASH in town and loved it. Hoffman's states that they do an under carriage wash but they do not, it's more like a lower side wash. living in the Northeast with the salt it is important to have the underside cleaned regularly not just the sides that this place offers while telling you they do undercarriage . I called to cancel my subscription a month ago and they failed to cancel it. Saw this months payment was pending and had to call again for them to give me attitude as if it was my fault. Waited for them to check the call logs to see I was correct and they finally issued me a refund. Not happy any longer with this company read more

Very expensive for a carwash and they don't even clean the inside of the vehicle when you buy an interior wash, NEVER going back here again.

Took my sisters car here to get washed and cleaned inside. The car was out and ready in about five minutes. I was impressed to see it done so quickly until I looked inside. They did a lousy job vacuuming inside; there was whole pieces of potato chips left on the seat and crumbs everywhere (see pictures). I drove around to talk to the person who helped me to begin with, he called the manager who just gave me attitude and made it seem as if I was lying about getting my car cleaned there in the first place. It took a few minutes for the manager to allow us to get the car vacuumed again. Very disappointing work and customer service. read more

What a DISGUSTING job they did for $35! I lived in Clifton Park for many years and remembered that Hoffman's Carwash did a good Job. NOT ANYMORE!! I live in Arizona for the last 14 years and was passing through the area on my cross country RV trip. I brought by Ford F150 there confident that it would be spotless after. I even paid $5 more for their "better" service. After the service was completed the running boards with chrome, and chrome wheels, were never touched and were filthy. When I brought it to their attention, after dropping a tip in the box before I noticed how bad the job was, they seemed annoyed and reluctantly rewiped those areas, still not doing a great job. AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING RIPPED OFF!!!! If I could have given ZERO STARS I would have! read more
