I honestly don't know how I found this place considering it's about 25 min from my house, however I'm happy I did! I bring my two boys here for there haircuts and each time it comes out pretty good. I have had a hard time at previous places with the haircuts(not many seem to be able to do a good fade). This place does not disappoint. I will warn you though-the area is a little sketchy and the shop isn't fancy but I'm ok with it. I have had each barber cut my kids hair and all of them are good and consistent. It's an old school barber shop that used to have lines that took an hour or two on the weekends but since it's running on appointments due to COVID social distancing requirements, he will get you in the seat on time for your appointment and out of there fast. As you can see by the number of 5 star reviews, these guys are great at their skill. If there is a downside, there sometimes is a wait as there are usually only two barbers and they are very popular. I first met Simon in 1995 at another shop. I followed him to HH Barber Shop and within a year or so, he bought the business. One day, Simon had 4 guys waiting for him and Ruben was available. I was in a bit of a hurry so I reluctantly went with Ruben. I couldn't have been happier with the results!! They are both excellent barbers with enjoyable personalities. They sometimes bring in extra help (Roman (who is Simons son), and a young lady whose name I can't remember) who are both also very good barbers. Amazing barbers... the best! I've only been here a couple times but each time I've had a different Barber and each was equally proficient. These guys have been cutting hair for probably 25 or 30 years and really know what they're doing. What a pleasure to get a haircut from a true professional. Called ahead for two hair cuts for my boys 10 and 8 years old. Was told by the young man whom answered the phone that absolutely they take walk-ins. We showed up and the barber (older, hispanic guy?) Says, we only take walk ins on Tuesday/Wednesdays. I'm like hm, that's odd because the barber whom answered said they take walk-ins everyday. The barber just shrugged his shoulders and ignored us. I said to him, "we wouldn't have driven all the way here if we had been told only Tuesday and Wednesdays." Fact that he wasn't bothered and gave no f*&@s pissed me off. Rubin was my barber for over 6 years. He did a good job on my hair for a reasonable price. The next to last time I visited his shop, without warning, he sprayed cologne directly into my face! I started sputtering and coughing, told him not to do that again. I figured I'd give Rubin one more chance. The next visit, he did the same thing. No warning, sprayed cologne directly into my face. So I have Denver this past weekend for business and found this shop on Yelp. I've been giving myself haircuts for years since I shave it using a "Zero", but need one badly.. All I can say about Hoffman Heights Barber Shop, is that they are totally amazing. The gentleman that did my hair was nicest guy ever and actually talked to me about life.. Awesome conversation with a great cut, plus he used a straight edge for the sideburns and the back! Best $15 i even spent on a hair cut.. I wonder if they can save my face too! So, I have been frequenting this Barber Shop for as many years as I can remember. Simon and Rueben are as consistant as they come. I always sit in Ruebens chair, he delivers every time with the perfect Flat Top. #1 on the sides and short on the top! I've never received a bad haircut here, ever. You just cant go anywhere to get a flat top these days. Very few barbers know how to deliver this cut, but these guys nail it every time! Simon bought the shop from Ron many years ago, and the quality is still outstanding. I grew up in this barber shop and so did my boys. I am very careful with who I let touch my husband's hair (we've had some bad experiences) and was skeptical initially to go to someone other than our regular. Well, we've decided we want to switch to this salon! The cut was done spectacularly, my husband loved his haircut here! Would definitely recommend. Saw all the positive reviews on Yelp and gave S&R (Simon and Rubin) a try. Rubin took his time and cut my hair exactly as I requested - tight on the sides and flat on top. He did an outstanding job going over my hair to make sure it was flat and perfect. After too many years--my entire life really--of getting mediocore haircuts from national chains, I was ready to try my first barber shop as a man. That was about two years, ago and I've been going with Rubin and Simon at Hoffman Heights since. While the shopping center (Hoffman Heights) is a bit sketch to one's "spidey-sense" (the people walking around outside not the barber's shop customers), I went ahead and checked it out anyway and I'm so glad I did. As you can see from the pictures there aren't a lot of frills here, just a relaxing place catch up on a game or magazine while you wait. Speaking of games, I tired Sport Clips on more than one occasion, and besides it all being a bit too silly for me, it was also loud and distracting, like being in a sports bar. I keep my hair a pretty short, and my experience with every haircut chain "stylist" wanted to use clippers as much as possible, which means they can be done with me as quickly as possible, meanwhile I have a buzzcut. These barbers use scissors and take their time to get it perfect. You'll more than likely have to wait on other customers, but that's because they are focused on quality over quantity. These gentlemen offer excellent services at absolutely fair prices. Every men's haircut includes a old-school straight razor neck and sideburn shave. Both Rubin and Simon are very skilled, professional, and I have always walked out of there more confident than when I came in. With mixed emotions after more than 10 years in back in CO (I grew up here) I'm moving away from Colorado again. If it is for good, I wish everyone one the best of luck. They have moved however to a much nicer spot in the same strip mall, the new address is 636 basically they are on the south side now instead of the north side. I do however think Rueben picked out the peachy color that adorns the walls now, to much of DYI network or something could be blamed. read more

Hidden gem of the suburbs of Denver/ Aurora! They are an old fashion barber. They are precise and you look finished when you leave. Plus they are fast! The waiting time is short even with 20 people waiting. $15 for a haircut and they do a better job then the salons that charge $50 for a men's cut. read more
