I took my 7-year-old grandson to get a haircut. We needed to get an appointment because they were booked full at the time. The barber did a good job of making my grandson feel comfortable and in the end, my grandson was happy with his new haircut. I have been going to this barbershop for over five years now and even though I don't live very close anymore, I cannot find a barbershop in the Denver metro that can compete with them. So I literally drive about an hour to get my haircut every month there because they are that good, and no one can compete with them on their skill combined with their price. I thought I would give these guys a try and they are in range of where I live. I put my name on the round robin list, and ended up with a young guy. Only afterward did he tell me that he was a trainee. He took twice as long as I expected and I missed my next appointment. He also did a really poor job. No, I didn't get charged, but I came there to get a good haircut, which I would have been happy to pay for. Instead I get told after the fact that I had a barber in training. Just to be nice I tipped him anyway, but they lost my business and therefore merit only two stars. I posted a photo of his lousy haircut for my friends on Facebook, and they were very amused. At least I got some levity out of it, and of course as is the case with all haircuts, it did grow out. read more

UPDATE: Now after visiting this place more than 6 times, I can say with no hesitation that this location is a must go for someone who is looking for a barbershop that has experience, courtesy, and consistency. Not only are the cuts exceptional each time, they are also a great value. I seriously am impressed by their speed, attention to detail, and hard work. I went here the day before we had my dads funeral. He took me to a barber the first time I got a "proper" cut. Well it was easy to get an appt. I met Lisa. She did a great head shave. Are you a woman whose hair needs a barber's skills? This is the place! Every time I move to a new city, finding a barber is one of my biggest challenges.. I wear my hair short, it's crazy straight, and has multiple cowlicks.. no hair dresser can cut this, that's just a fact.. it needs a barber.. but finding a barber who is both skilled enough to cut it, and comfortable cutting a woman is challenging.. I am spoiled, my good friend back in New York is a superb barber, and she has spoiled me.. Anyway, I moved to Denver last summer.. had several disastrous haircuts & one decent one.. but I have already flown back to New York for one haircut( big event coming up, needed to look my best), and was considering another flight back East.. but I decided to trust YELP, and I found Lisa at Leetsdale... she is a really fun, kind person, but more importantly an amazing barber! read more

Honestly, it has been three weeks and I am still miffed with what they did to my hair. I will say, this review is not based on skill (I think the talent is there) of the barber but personality and the hatch job they did on my hair. I have been looking for a non-douchey barber since moving here and they are just so hard to find. It's all about the cool factor to attract new clients, I get it. But I saw someone at the carwash and asked who cut their hair and she recommended Leetsdale Barbers. Sounds awesome. So I made an appointment a few weeks out. On the day of my appointment, I arrived 5-10 minutes early to a shop that looked like they were still building it out. I get accosted with not hello but do you have an appointment. That actually didn't register until later. I do and stated my name. The barber of my appointment didn't acknowledge me but the other barber said he'd be right there and I could wait on the bench or in my car and they would flag me when it was my turn. Not a problem. 35 minutes after my appointment was to start, I finally got called in for my cut. Still not really a big deal, I get getting backed up and am happy to give grace. I tried explaining what I wanted first and then I was going to show a picture but their shop is in an internet deadzone apparently. So I literally pointed at another customer and said that is the cut I am looking for but I guess that was confusing. Right off the bat the barber is unresponsive and we are not connection. Dear lord, why didn't I pick up the red flags. I had to at one point remind him that he was working on a head and being gentle would be appreciated. I finally get done and at that point there is not use complaining because there is no fix. My long hair is now super short (which I did want) but I can't style it at all. It sticks up from my head and I am miserable with the way it looks. I will never go here again, but not that I think they care anyway. It was hands down, the worst experience I have ever had. I would rather return to my prior douchebag barber and listen to him tell me how great he is my entire cut than go here again. Such a trash experience with a large implication for my personal look. read more

Not much of a need for long drawn out reviews here... these guys just rock! It's the feeling of a legit barber with people trained as such with a minor modern twist. Need to charge your phone, they got you. Cold bottle of water, yes sir. Flat panel TVs on sports. Good old fashioned casual ribbing between each other and customers known on a first name basis. And there's a lot of them. They make sure you feel special while you're there. My wife has cut my hair for 20+ years... now I need to figure out how to fire her gently. read more

Shoe shining is consistent and well polished. Only place for my boys and I. Best in town! After many many years the accept credit cards too. Anyone with a head with hair on it (especially the fellas) should go get trimmed, lined & cut up at Leetsdale Barbers or their sister shop just up the road on Holly. All the barbers (my go to is James) make you feel right at home and give the best haircuts. These are real barbers and every one of them are pros at their trade. You'll be greeted as soon as you walk in by most, if not all, the barbers there. Sometimes you have to write your name on the board if there's a wait. To me, sometimes, the best part is the wait. I always have a good time at the barber shop. You're guaranteed some laughs. Anyone who wants to take part in whatever conversation is going on, is welcome, and those who don't will still be offered some coffee, water or pop while they wait. I have moved further and further from the shop, but will continue to head over there every few weeks for my cut and quality and customer service. Best barber shop in Denver, hands down. read more

I went here only once. The place is your basic barber shop and most employees seemed nice, pleasant and friendly. The one time I went in the owner was truly annoying and "clever". I am guessing he did not get enough attention as a child or perhaps he grew up in house with a bunch of sisters. I recently flew in from out of town and needed a haircut bad. Jumped on Yelp to find this place and decided to give them a shot, despite them not being as "popular" as other places, mainly in downtown Denver. Walked in without an appointment and was immediately greeted by friendly faces, took a seat and waited probably 20 minutes for my turn during what seemed to be quite the rush for them. The barber who cut my hair asked me what exactly I wanted, made sure we were on the same page, and began his work. 30 minutes later I left with a $20 haircut that was better than most of the $30 haircuts I got back home! If I could take this spot back with me I would in a heartbeat. If I'm ever in the Denver area again, I'm definitely coming back to this place for their services. To all that are looking for a new barber, don't get fooled by the flashy marketing of the other "hip" places you'll find in this city and come give this place a chance! read more

It used to be a reasonable place to get a decent haircut. They just raised their prices 25%, from $20 to $25. Plus, when you pay by credit card, there is a request for a tip. It starts out at 20%. That means your haircut would add up to, $30. Come on! read more

Holy goodness and tidy trims Batman! these guys ( and Gals ) are the smartest dressed, most attentive and skilled Barbers in town and I'm not kidding. I got another haircut here today with a beard trim and I left there feeling so respectable I almost left the country and started a new life. I have visited this fine establishment for a few months now and I have never been disappointed. Dre was my skilled scissor master today, and he did a fine job ( ask my wife ) this place is always full of patrons and they have coffee and good banter on tap. I really do feel I got the best haircut I have had anywhere in Denver right here. It's easy to get to with lots of parking and they have 4 chairs? or five... but they're all nice chaps and they listen to what you want, a personal peeve of mine from other places I've visited. I never write reviews on yelp - come to think of it, this is only my 3rd ever review. Anyone who writes a bad review of Leetsdale Barbers, it baffles me as to why. If you're upset about the wait, that is selfish. I know time is precious but so is finding a good, consistent barber and looking your best. The fact that there is a long wait at times is a combination of the pure volume of clientele along with the fact that these guys are simply the best. They must be doing something right if there is that many customers always in the place! Personally, I go at times when I know the traffic isn't so bad in there. I moved here from New York back in September and it took me quite a while to find LB and I am glad I did. James and Paul are the absolute best. I've only been in there 3 times so far and every time I go, specifically James, he remembers my name and how I like my hair cut/styled. I know this is not just me either, it is everyone who walks through that door. That is not only impressive but insane customer service. A+++ I am so happy I found this place. They fixed a butchered job from another barber. I'm just glad they didn't laugh when I came in; I looked like an ex-con who was seriously considering a job in clowning. They make the usual small-talk, but will leave you alone if you're not feeling chatty. I gave a muddled description of what I wanted and they read between the lines to make it happen. The best part is that the process is somewhat of a dialogue. I asked for a modification to what they delivered and my barber happily adjusted it. Snip-snip, and I walked out with the best haircut I've ever had (and not just because I apparently have a habit of frequenting shitty places). I don't live anywhere near here, but will be making the drive the next time I need a cut. read more

I usually get my haircut by Paul. I trusted the rest of the staff could cut. If you're not confident just tell me. My hair was a good 5-6 on the side. The under confidence of this barber used a one to go all the way up to make the fade easier. As you can see this haircut did not go well. I only asked for a skin 0 on the side, nothing off the top. It has only been a week since my last cut and now my head looks like Bert and Ernie, thanks. Btw I paid 30$ for this cut. read more
