The cut was okay but I couldn't help but to notice all of the months and months of grime and old hair that was never cleaned around the sinks. It's unfortunate, I'd like to find a good locally owned place to get cuts but I just can't help to think, if they're not cleaning up for months on end, then what else aren't they doing in sanitation. The sinks themselves were quite dirty and had tons of mineral build up all over them. Pride in their business is lacking quite a bit. read more

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE!! So incredibly unprofessional. Got to my boyfriend's haircut appointment at 8:56 (my bf hates being late) no one was there doors were closed. We figured it was too early so we waited, 9:05, nothing. When the "owner" got there at around 9:08 she opened the door and let people in. My boyfriend's appointment was at 9am with Emonie. Emonie did not show up at all, the owner then accused my boyfriend of being late to his appointment to which he told her he was here at 9 and she was not. Apart from being incredibly rude to begin with she did such a terrible job at cutting his hair, left spots uncut including the sides which he asked for it to be cut lower. Just an overall terrible experience and extremely rude to customers. Do not come here!!! read more

Holy. Shit. Let me tell you, the woman that was on the phone prior was rude and cut me off and hung up on me before we can go over schedules. Then, when entering the store, there was no one at the front desk, and I had to wait for a woman to come up, and go, "Aaron?" Roll her eyes at me, then tell me "walk over to me", honestly not a problem, maybe she had a rough morning. But when I got there she was so short with me like she was bothered by my existence as a patron for coming in, and needing a trim. And I want to emphasis on that A TRIM. T R I M. But anyways I sit down, she asks what I want, I say "I want to chop off about 3 inches, and even out the under part of my hair, because my previous haircut a few months back made it uneven." She then rolled her eyes and sighed and said "you and I have very different definitions of chop, do you have a reference photo?" And I said, "yes" and shared a picture, a man with similar hair, mine is straighter so I didn't expect a miracle where she was going to make my hair magically curlier like his, but I wanted the same length and emphasized that. She then got started and immediately went for my bangs and cut off about 4 inches worth of hair. I WAS a man with hair to my shoulders. Was. I went from 8 1/2 inches of hair to barely 3 inches. My bangs are uneven, and the entire time she was cutting my hair she got upset with me, mad at me, and scolded me whenever I had comments and questions. I'm heartbroken about my hair. And she couldn't care less. If you are going to confidently say "I have done hair for 33 years" I fucking expect you to have the skills and the social skills to treat me like a basic human rather than the literal treatment I got. So after all of this, I accept I got a bad hair cut. Last time I was there I got a great hair cut from a lady named Madelyn. I paid 26 dollars, plus a 5$ tip. This woman overcharged me 37$. 37. I didn't get product in my hair, I didn't get shaved, I didn't get a hot towel, or my hair washed or anything. I had a trim. A trim that she fucked up and over charged me. It's literally so unfortunate and so heart breaking, that now I have to spend months growing my hair back to where it was, just so I can feel confident with how my hair looks again. Never go to this place unless you want to be spat on and disregarded like a cheap paycheck. read more

Try not taking walk-ins ahead of paying customers who pre-scheduled and arrived 10 minutes before their appointment time. I booked two haircuts (adult and child) and arrived 10 minutes early. Hairdresser was sitting outside on her phone when we arrived - Ok - we're early. TWO minutes before our appointment time, she walks in with some other "customer" and said she'd be with us in a few. At that point, I decided that my $80 (I tip generously) is better spent elsewhere. read more

Third time visiting Gentleman's Groom Room. Scheduling same day is on point. Every time one of the guys in my family brace for a cut we have called and been able to get in the same day. The cuts are great. This is a feet in itself as we have had some horrible experiences that make all of them chill to the idea of a cut. It's conveniently located. Heather is amazing. My husband and two sons are clients and they are always very satisfied with their cuts. She is very punctual, which I love. The business is strict with appointment times and not tolerating lateness, but it is absolutely justified. Their time is valuable and should be respected. Plus, it affects appointment times of their other clients. Great location with lots of parking. read more

Brought my dad for Father's Day. He had a sport facial & a sports manicure. He loved it! His skin looked completely refreshed, his nails cleaned up. So I have been a regular here until today. I was 10 mins late which was my mistake and I totally accept it and did say sorry to the hairstylist. But does that mean I deserve a bad haircut? Or no welcome at all? I have been here for a long time now and today have probably received my worst ever haircut by tesha. The owner sounded rude as I was checking out because I was late and I did say sorry again. You could have just asked me to not get a haircut if I was late instead of giving me a bad haircut. I think this may be the first review I've ever been inclined to write. This place is terrible. I've been bringing my 4 year old here for a year or so and the ladies that work here are the most dismal unhappy people I've ever been around. Heather, the owner, is the worst of them all. They are not even kind to my very well manner little boy. They turn you away if you're running 5-10 minutes late. Our family is respectful and they are always tipped well. I will never patron them again and for all those other classy individuals that patron this place, I would reconsider your selection. There are many other places well more deserving of your money. My Response to Miss Heather's reply: Your response says it all. As I said, we've been coming for a year now. My children love the games so we tolerated your dismal attitude, which perhaps is solely toward women in your men's salon. And considering my child gets a haircut every 4-6 weeks, your 18 missed appointments is blatantly false (do the math). We have missed one appointment by mistake and called to reschedule any others we had to. We showed up at your salon at 4:29, no one was in the front, you walked in from the back door at 4:36pm at which time you (not the receptionist!) told me his appointment was at 4:20 and we were too late). Bad customer service. My son and I stop by here to check it out because it looked like a good and fun barber shop. After being in the shop for about 3 minutes an employee walked up to us and asked us to stop playing the arcade game they have because they can't just let anyone in and play them. Had a solid experience at this shop today. Good clean atmosphere, and music that was no too loud or obnoxious. I am very particular about my hair and have had to look for a new shop closer to home. I stumbled upon this place on Yelp, and decided to check it out. I'm glad I did! Tessa did a great job and is skilled with shears. So I started poking around and found the Gentlemen's Groom Room and decided to give it a shot (even though it's quite a bit farther away than the place I was going to prior). I'm glad I did. This is the best barbershop in Colorado if you need a fast and clean cut give them a call. Easy to set up an appointment and they offer you a free drink when you arrive. I get my cuts from Emonie but everyone in this place is a great barber. read more

I am not the type of person to write reviews, good or bad, but I am writing this because I used your reviews to find this place. I was in search for a new barber after losing my barber of the last 11 years. After researching and reading reviews I decided to give this place a try. My son and I booked back to back appointments on line with the Founder Heather. We chose Heather based on her experience level and wanted a professional. We arrived 15-10 mins before our scheduled appointments. When we arrived we were greeted kindly and offered a beverage. But this is where it all goes wrong. Soon my son was taken back by Olena, not Heather. I was confused by this and should've spoken up on why he wasn't being seen by the person who we booked the appointment with. But being new to the place and not knowing how this place operates, I didn't. He received the most uneven hair cut I have ever seen. You can visually see horizontal lines going across his head. He says he did not receive the cut he asked for. I asked why he didn't say something and he said he did, but he said she didn't speak English very well and couldn't understand him. Next I was taken back, and again not by Heather, but with I assuming Jules? She didn't introduce herself, so I'm not really sure who she was. In fact, other then her asking me how I'd like my hair cut, how much off the top and if I wanted the wash and towel service, barely spoke. She took no interest in her new customer. I explained to her that I usually have my sides and back shaved with a 1 and blended up and my top cut to about my finger length. Hindsight I should've told her how high to shave up and where to start the blend, but she didn't ask either. I assumed she would be able to tell by my current hair style where that would be (about the temple line) or have a good idea where to stop. With the first zip of the razor I knew I was in trouble. She went all the way up. She did blend it well, but with it being so high now my head looks like a cue ball. It a good thing my hair grows quick. When doing the neck line she didn't ask how I like it, either straight or rounded. Of course I like it straight and she did rounded. I assumed I would've been asked. I've always been asked. Lesson learned, never assume and speak up. This was a by appointment only place. If I wanted some random person cutting my hair I would've gone to a Great Clip or Sports Clip. You have two disappointed customers, who will not be returning. Our search for a descent barber in this town will continue. read more

Rude! Terrible service! The owner had a problem that we had not been in since January. I'm a single mom and on occasion there dad will take my sons for a haircut. I've always tipped high because I can't bring my kids in on a regular visits. Salons were shut down for 2 months! You shouldn't own a business if you are going to treat clients like crap! Rude, rude. In response to your response yes we were late for our first appointment but the appointment that I'm referring to was the 11am appointment that we were clearly there on time for (since you are pulling videos you can see). Also your stylist was on the phone with your credit card services (in your security footage you will clearly see her go to your credit card swipe while on the phone). The fact that you try to falsify the fact that she had been dealing with someone who had a medical issue is a lie. Also lying that we were 15min late we were 8 minutes late. They do a phenomenal double zero fade here so no more traveling into Denver to get the right cut. My husband and son have gone to three different girls all who knew how to fade up and make the line disappear pretty flawlessly. Also affordable for the cut. read more
