When I chose to get procedure done locally, I returned the extra pair they sent which I had not paid for ($110 value) and they charged me a restocking charge of 20% plus the cost to ship to me originally and did not even thank me for sending back the stockings to them which they had mistakenly sent. They also took back the 20% new costumer discount. So for returning 2 pairs of $110 stockings, I am getting $60 back. Not good customer service.

I have been going to this practice for years and have been disappointed many times. They are the only provider in town so I am stuck. They do not care about your privacy. When you walk in the door they ask (in front of a waiting with other patients present) your birthdate and name. There is no privacy.

I wasn't happy with the clinic thing where you go in and get treated by the "Dr. of the Day". I mean those work in a pinch when you need something fairly urgent, etc., but if I'm going to work with someone and partner on my health, I want someone that is going to be "my" doctor on a regular basis, that knows my history, and talks to me like an equal rather than acting all superior. Oh, and when I'm not feeling well, I'm not in a joking mood either, so I don't like doctors that act like comedians. Okay, that may have been sharing too much, but you have to understand why I like Dr. Gahl. He is really intelligent, but doesn't act like he has to prove it to you. He is kind and compassionate, while being prompt and efficient at seeing everyone. He has his own private practice and is not aligned with either of the two major hospitals in the area. While most doctors fall into one camp or the other, he works independently and will work with your medical needs at either hospital, your choice. Dr. Gahl has been "my" doctor for years now and I like him. He treats people with respect and is interested in your life, as well as your well being. I was offended by his attitude, his rudeness and condescension to my husband and, most importantly, his complete disregard for my rights as a patient. His medical assistant lacked competence in basic skills and completely lacked common sense. His RN had good skills but her attitude and complete disregard for my rights as a patient were unacceptable. Diagnostically, I think he's fine but it's not worth the attitude, rudeness, condescension and lack of respect.
