I wasn't happy with the clinic thing where you go in and get treated by the "Dr. of the Day". I mean those work in a pinch when you need something fairly urgent, etc., but if I'm going to work with someone and partner on my health, I want someone that is going to be "my" doctor on a regular basis, that knows my history, and talks to me like an equal rather than acting all superior. Oh, and when I'm not feeling well, I'm not in a joking mood either, so I don't like doctors that act like comedians. Okay, that may have been sharing too much, but you have to understand why I like Dr. Gahl. He is really intelligent, but doesn't act like he has to prove it to you. He is kind and compassionate, while being prompt and efficient at seeing everyone. He has his own private practice and is not aligned with either of the two major hospitals in the area. While most doctors fall into one camp or the other, he works independently and will work with your medical needs at either hospital, your choice. Dr. Gahl has been "my" doctor for years now and I like him. He treats people with respect and is interested in your life, as well as your well being. Be sure to check out his honey that he bottles from his honey bee hobby. He usually has a few bottles for sale at the front desk as well.

Fortunately, if you go directly to the office, they will personally resolve it for you (even though it means that THEY are the ones on hold). Highly recommend.
