My father was receiving Hospice services for a short period of time. The staff & nurses were amazing, giving him his dignity back, bathing him, making him feel comfortable as best as they could, and making him feel so loved, and providing all his prescriptions until his final days. My mom B. Toombs (Miqui) was admitted to Hoffmann Home on 8/11/2025 for end of life comfort care. The staff were so very supportive and caring. My mom was always clean and comfortable no matter what time I came. They cared for her better than when she was in the hospital. All of the staff even the lady in the kitchen was very empathetic. I have been a Hoffmann Volunteer for four years. I have been so lucky to be apart of this amazing group of people. The most caring, loving and empathetic people you will meet. I am blessed to be a part of this team. I am writing specifically on the Hoffmann Home because of the amazing care they gave to two people I have lost in the past two years. Your love one who is on Hospice will usually be at home receiving all the necessary care, medication, whatever is needed to keep them comfortable. In some cases as with my friends they needed extra support and were able to go to this amazing facility. I have worked for a transport company for the coroner's office and came in contact with many Hospice nurses. I have never met one that was anything less than wonderful, that includes Hoffmann. If I could go back in time and wasn't the age I am, working as a hospice nurse for Hoffmann would be my dream. This beautiful place has everything you would need so you don't have to leave your family member or friend. The chapel is amazing and I sit in there whenever I visit the Hoffmann House. They have a game room/tv room, amazing dining room and the food is delicious. They have coffee and water available all the time. There are sitting rooms that are quiet and private for the families. The rooms for the patients are large and have a couch that makes into bed So thankful we have Hoffmann Home for the families of Kern County read more

My mom (Virginia) was at Hoffman for a week, and we were blown away by the excellent care she received from the whole staff! Not only did they keep my mom comfortable and clean but their compassion towards her was amazing! They showed her and all of our family how much they care for their patients. They truly are angels that work there. The quality of treatment was exceptional, and I felt totally at ease when I would leave. I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders the first night. They listened to all our stories, and we could feel the love. We will always remember Hanna and Stephanie for the care and love they gave our mom. My dad stayed here during his last days and I cannot say enough good things about their staff and facility! After a lengthy stay in the hospital they gave him his dignity back, showered him, kept him shaved and in clean gowns. He was able to feel a little bit of normalcy in a very hard time. The rooms are large, clean and very nice. Large enough for family to gather around to visit. The staff is amazingly kind and empathetic, they even joined us a for small chats while checking on him! I will always have a place in my heart for the Hoffman House and its staff. read more

I do not have enough nice things to say about Hoffman Hospice. It's the cleanest and most efficient hospice I have ever seen. It's employees are incredibly understanding and helped my loved one, Socorro, through the last couple weeks of her life. They went above and beyond to keep her comfortable and provided as much care as they could. They also helped the rest of the family cope with the situation at hand. When my husband was a few months shy of his 98th birthday Hoffmann evaluated him and placed him on hospice. A couple of months later I was advised I should make arrangements to place him in a facility as I would not be able to take care of him. Right after his 99th birthday I was advised he was being taken off hospice. He was much worse than when they placed him on the program. He is blind, hard of hearing, unable to feed himself, unable to get in or out of bed without assistance, incontinent and often confused. This left me without a bed, prescriptions, nurse, someone to bathe him. Their literature states people die in their own way at their own time. Well it better be on Hoffmann's timeline or you are in trouble. read more

This place is Amazing first of all you are welcomed with warm hearts and arms the staff here is Amazing they take care of all your needs also they give the best care possible to your loved one who is about to pass away the facility is Amazing it's better than a 5 star hotel they have large family rooms that are very Comfortable and nice also they have a theater room they do the best job they can do to get you through this tough time in life they also have free coffee tea and lemon aid 24 Hours a day the kitchen opens up at 11am and closes at 1500 you can get some chow for a decent price in your loved ones room it is huge it has a large Comfortable couch That can pull out into a Queen size bed if you want to stay with your loved one has they make the transition I'm very amazed and impressed with this facility I am very thankful for Hoffmann Hospic and the people and organisations that make all this happen also the are very greatful for Vetrans and honor them with great respect I highly recommend Hoffmann Hospic. read more

My father was here for a week before he passed, and before that was receiving Hospice Care from Hoffman for a couple of months while he was in Memory Care at Magnolia Place. The Hospice staff are amazing .. professional, caring, and compassionate. They also have volunteers who visited my father at Magnolia Place. The rooms at Hoffman House are beautiful and very comfortable for the family .. great room for having a bite to eat and they provide coffee, iced tea, and lemonade 24/7. Also a beautiful chapel and such a nice chaplain who visits. I cannot say enough about this facility. They are a true blessing to the community, and we are so appreciative of the care my father received. read more

This place has been a joke! My mother is battling cancer and these people are supposed to be helping. The nurse who saw her in the ER who said she would meet us at her home has never shown up! My 92 year old grandmother passed away early this morning. She was only at the facility for 12 hours and I was blown away by the level of care and true empathy by the staff at Hoffman. Not only did they care for her, they cared for our family. At one point we had in excess of 40 people visiting my grandmother and they accommodated us all. At an extremely difficult time of life Hoffman Hospice's staff was extraordinary. Thank you all so much from the bottom of mine and my family's heart. read more

This place is by far the most beautiful and dignified facility for hospice that I've ever seen. My Aunt is currently here. The facility is top of the charts, the staff is loving, caring and you could not ask for better. They have a pull out bed to stay with your loved one. They have a great kitchen and sell Breakfast and Lunch for family to eat with their loved one. The food is better than most restaurants. Certainly not hospital food. This was completely a pleasant surprise. I couldn't suggest one thing to better it, they've thought of everything. I can not say enough positive things about this facility. read more

It's a beautiful place, and every nurse we met so so sweet! Until, my grandpa passed away. The nurse that came just 30 minutes after he passed, was very rude and non compassionate. Acted like there was most definitely some place she'd rather be. Very bad attitude and not what I expected from Hoffman. Especially after everyone else was so sweet. read more

Disappointed in the services. The nurses were nice the like 2xs they came before my son passed. When I made a couple phone calls for assistance for him they couldn't find him in the damn system, even though the nurses came out a day before with no problem. They said it was going to take an hour to get to our house when we live down the street from hospice office. It was ridiculous, they continued to give us the run around. I do not recommend. How are you unable to find my son in the system more than once when the nurses had no problem or the social worker had no damn problem. read more
