This has always been a great fly rod smallmouth bass guide service in previous years. I have taken my son on 2 occasions and 4 other friends over a decade. This April I contacted my guide 10 days before a planned trip w/ concerns about fishing conditions given "100-year rains", a heavy winter snow-pack and flooding in Michigan w/ numerous tailwater dams being threatened. I was assured that the guide "was on the water and conditions were fine". This was a bold-faced lie. I traveled 350+ miles from 3 states away to find the Grand and Huron Rivers 5 feet above the high water mark in flood stage flowing like rapids with water clarity similar to chocolate milk. I specifically suggested that I was happy to reschedule later in the season when conditions were more favorable. I fully understand that guides have a limited season but lying about conditions to maintain income is just wrong. When all is said and done SO essentially stole $1,600 from me given booking fees, guide fees and tip, gas, food and lodging. Don't trust them in the future to have integrity in representing the conditions. They will say anything to preserve income. They have lost a client for life.

When the young man came back with the shoes, he dropped both pairs on my seven-year-old grandson's lap and walked away. The lack of customer service and consideration was mind-boggling. We're from California and I've been to many Dick's Sporting Goods, but never have I had the rudeness and disrespect that I experienced at this store. This business proved itself to be completely unreliable in what should have been a single and…read moresimple order. I waited...and waited...and waited for the ordered product to show up on my door. Nothing! Contacted their Customer Service department. They offered no apology, no service, and no solution. It is obvious that the Manager Sue is lame and provided no training to the staff in service etiquette. I can say this as I have 5 years procurement experience in moving technology products for mid-sized businesses. This went on for a month [literally]. After the month went by they finally coughed up an ETA and announced it would be at least another 1/2 month before they would even have it. The sick part about it? They offered zero solution to me as the customer...even cancelled it. And worse, I went on the website to perform a mock order. And? The website provided no feedback the item was out of stock.
