It was quiet but nice. We sat the bar top, the gentleman that gave us the menus was super friendly and we ordered quickly short after they have a lot of tasty looking options. We got your food super fast and burgers are pretty good. They tasted barbecued which was nice. We liked that the TVs were up to watch a football game that was playing that night. We'd definitely go here again and would recommend.

Here is what I can share about The Salty Otter Sports Grill. You can avoid paying the merchant fee, if you as a patron, pay with cash. They have a sign posted by their point of sale terminal. Their restrooms are for paying customers. They have a sign posted. The World Cup is being shown, and viewing is for paying customers. They have a sign posted on their front door. I appeared to be one a 10 people in the location: Six seated at the bar--I was one of those six, one bartender, two people who appeared to work there, as they approached the tenth person upon his arrival, as he was delivering beer. In a similar amount of time to what I waited at The Salty Otter Grill with out as much as acknowledging my presence , I walked to JACK'S, ordered and received my burger, while being engaged by multiple team members. This was all accomplished, while having more than twice as many customers.

Stea cooked perfectly. Fries were awesome and it was perfect with the wedge salad. Incredible combo! Ambiance was a little out dated, but definitely gave steak house vibes. We would go back.

Our server Matilynn was very pleasant. I could overlook the misses except for the baked potato that was comically shriveled, room temperature and hard. I mentioned it to the server who offered to exchange it but I laughed and said it was ok. It was. But days later when I looked closer at the item that boosted my bill, what is that charge? I called them, politely avoiding happy hour or the dinner rush. I got a bombastic explanation from the manager they're allowed to charge for paying by a credit card. Ok, where did I miss that? She said it was on the menu that there is a 4% discount for paying cash. "Ok. But that's not the same as charging 4% to pay by credit card." She told me to talk to their bookkeeper and smashed the phone in my ear. Brightly painted in beachy colors with beautiful enormous rattan lighting, and a clean and friendly atmosphere. It has cool wrap-around modern seating benches with boho pillows and mirror wall decor near the pool table. We got to meet super charming Brittany, the owner, and ordered a fried chicken sandwich/fries which was crunchy and yummy and the pile of fries were crispy which we love. Also had buffalo chicken wings - they were so perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. They truly were the best I've had in the area. BUT I cannot say enough how incredibly perfect the Martini that Brittany made me was - A Vodka martini with jalapeño-infused olive juice with two blue-cheese stuffed olives served in an icy fogged martini glass. I think it was called the Spicy Christina. Refreshing and a sipping pleasure. We'll definitely be back for all the above and to try their Waffle-Chicken sandwich. We also got to hang with our favorite local bartender, Christa! She'll make you feel at home with her chatty ways, bar games and good pours!!!! This is a great place to meet up with friends and definitely a local fave. But tourists will love it too - it has such a light and friendly party vibe.

The meat and vegetables were hot and flavorful, though the mashed potatoes scooped on top like ice cream had an unusual presentation. What bothered me was the service and the surprise charges. The restaurant seemed understaffed and service was slow, although it was busy and we were patient. We asked if one of the TVs could be changed to a World Cup match and were told it couldn't be done. Later, another TV far from us was changed to the World Cup game, which made that response confusing and frustrating. I was also surprised to find an automatic 18% gratuity added to our bill. We were a family of five, which I would not consider a large group, and we were not informed of the charge in advance. The menu referenced an automatic gratuity for groups of six or more, which did not apply to us. I normally tip at least 20%, so this wasn't about the amount--it was about transparency. Overall, the food was okay, but the service and unexpected charge left me with a negative impression. I won't be returning.

Been several times and its the best place for drinks I've found at the boardwalk by the Beach…read more It was a beautiful sunny day alongside the beach, sunny but not hot but also a breeze that made sitting on the patio the ideal choice... Ideal... sorry, fun uncle humor. Unfortunately we were misled by front hostess, after being seated and arranging my baby neice next to me we proceeded to be told we had to order some type of food in order to be seated in our area. So we ordered begrudgingly a side of Garlic Fries which were made fantastically. On this visit it was simply drinks. I ordered a Tropical Mimosa to start, followed by an El Presidente with an extra shot of Don Julio Blanco (no picture unfortunately) and topped of with an Aperol Spritz and a Malibu Planters Punch. The Mimosa, as expected, was just exceptional... incase you haven't notice the trend I lean largely in favor towards Mimosas. The El Presidente was a delicious opposite of "woah wake up" time strong. Next time I won't add a second shot and may be able to finish it faster. Aperol Spritz was a weird one. I don't know if I can say I liked it or not but I personally know it was not a drink I would normally order anyways The Malibu Planters Punch was a tad bit stronger than my usually rum and coke type drinks but I think at this point the bartender was challenging me and I do love when they challenge me. Remember, 3 of 5 isn't bad. I did not have a bad experience I just feel like it could have been better. Getting seated was fast but we were not told we had to order food as we declared out intentions. Our Waitress always had a smile on her face and was very energetic and optimistic. Otherwise, yea, I'm coming back baby!

I also added avocado for an extra three dollars. I guess inflation prices. I also noticed the protein bowl was astronomically priced. The bowl had no meat but to ad chicken it was an extra $8, chicken and salmon was an extra $12. I understand inflation, but that's crazy. The scramble came out and I was quite disappointed. Unfortunately I was so in shock I did not take a photo. The portion was small and the three eggs looked like one egg scrambled. The avocado was embarrassing. Three dollars for less than a quarter of a whole avocado? Maybe when I think of breakfast , I think of something hearty or even a bigger protein even when it's healthy. I did finish the food and left considerably hungry. The positive was the ambience was good due to the DJ as well as the service. FYI: There is a 4% surcharge for employee benefits.
