Ron was especially patient and kind with the kids too. We've been going to Wolfeboro for years and I only wish we had discovered Ron and I Fish NH earlier! They also have a store that is open for a limited time...I forgot to take note of the times! Super family friendly and stunning view! A lot of people brought they own coals/wood to cookout. There is a parking lot and we were able to find parking but I'm sure it gets full at peak times. We enjoyed the hike and the waterfalls. It was in late May so there were quite a few people there. When you park there is a kiosk to pay that takes credit cards. At the start of the trail there is a bathroom that is just a big outhouse. It was a little rough so I recommend not using it if you get sick easy. The hike is short and easy to the water. When you get there it is a little tough climbing over rocks and tree roots. We spend time in the water. It was not deep anywhere we were so not really swimming just cooling off or sun tanning on the rocks.

Very popular and well-travelled, the Bridge-Falls Path is a nice easy little trail, about half a…read moremile long. Starting downtown at the Wolfeboro Train Depot, it follows the path of the now defunct Wolfeboro Scenic Railway. The tracks are gone, but the scenic views remain. There's plenty of parking at the historic depot, and a short ride on your bike or a leisurely stroll will take you along Wolfeboro's Back Bay and past some informative signage telling the history of the area. After passing through the wooded shade and some interesting rock outcroppings, you will see the remains of Berry Mill, built in 1840, and still making excelsior when I was a kid in the early 80s. Here you can often find people fishing along the river, and others walking their dogs, taking photos, or just simply enjoying the sun. Crossing the bridge at Wolfeboro Falls, near the run-down water wheel, the Bridge-Falls Path comes to an end. But if you still have some adventure left in you, you can venture across the street and continue the 12 mile path onto the Cotton Valley Trail, also known as the Wolfeboro-Sanbornville Recreational Trail or the Honorable Russell Chase Memorial Path. The rails are still in place from here on, and still used once a year for hobbyists to try their own rail vehicles. But that's another review! The Bridge-Falls Path is lit for nighttime use, but I'm not really sure I'd go it alone in the dark. Unfortunate signs of graffiti are sparse (and oddly kooky- OctoCat, half-octopus half-cat! These vandals are likely young kids with an off-kilter sense of humor.) Overall, the Bridge-Falls Path is a great start to the Cotton Valley Trail.

It is nice to have the best aunt in the world there. We sat on the porch looking out at the lake and told stories. We laughed and laughed. In the evening, we went to pop's for fish and chips. I ate the whole thing! It was so good. Then we went for a walk around the campground. The houses are really cute. We went to Wolfeboro in the morning. We had coffee and donuts at a cute bakery. They sat out on the dock watching the boats go by. I tucked in a few stores but I wasn't looking for anything. I hope to come back in August and explore some more. There is so much to do up here. The popular activities are boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and wildlife viewing.

This place is 'gorge'ous. And tickets sell out fast during peak season…read more Not aware of that, we drove for about an hour and a half to walk the george, the tickets were all sold out. It should be noted that the trail is fixed and there are man made bridges and stuff, and only certain umber of people are allowed at a time for safety reasons. Since the return flight was already booked, couldn't come back, so decided to hike up the adjoining mountain. Its a tough hike, and it was cold when I left, so had a really think jacket on, but the climb really made me sweat, and the jacket was a huge burden....lol.... It was such a beautiful hike. Its a little hard as the path is left as is, as in - its not like there are steps, or safety measures. There are warnings at places , but other than that, it is raw and completely natural forest with paths made by real people who have hiked and nothing else to depend on. So you will see many paths too criss-crossing each other, some more worn than others for obvious reasons. There is one thing though, markers on the trees, blue in color, because it is soo easy to loose the path here. There are plenty of trees, and you can hear all kinds of birds, I think it was October month. Climb up to a beautiful scenery. Its an adventure worth climbing!

The ladies at the admission booth were friendly, welcoming, and helpful in directing us where to go. Be prepared for the walk of a lifetime! There are some steep hills and plenty of uphill and downhill sections, but the breathtaking views make every step worth it. The scenery is simply spectacular. A few tips for visitors: wear comfortable hiking or walking shoes, bring plenty of water, strollers are not recommended, a rain jacket isn't really necessary; you'll only encounter a little mist when passing by the large cascade, if you're traveling with toddlers, a good hiking backpack carrier is highly recommended, bring a handheld or neck fan because you'll definitely work up a sweat, don't forget sunscreen and bug spray. Take your time, enjoy the incredible natural beauty, and soak in the experience. This is a place I would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

We saw 2 nests with a loon hopefully incubating their eggs as well as 2 different families of loons with their chicks. We also came across a Common Merganser with her chicks resting on a rock. David keeps the ride smooth and Tiffany was a wealth of information! I love what they are doing to protect these beautiful birds! We would definitely return.
