Plus once I saw they were dog friendly I was more than happy to add this to my weekend errand list since she could tag along. We were greeted as we walked in and asked if we needed help. We weren't looking super hard for anything in particular but did mention I'd like to find butterfly pea, but it wasnt something they had. Not surprising and didn't affect the overall experience. Jared is who came over and helped us and explained a bit about how they care for their plants and what services they offer. And even took down my number in the case he hears about how to get that plant. Told us they hold events there, so I'll have to look into it! I did really like how they had a dedicated room for indoor plants, not alot of places have that. I ended up getting a peace lily for $10 and shes still looking great 2 weeks later. We were also given a jug of their moon juice which we've just started using for most of our plants, excited to see if it does really help out. I wasnt quite sure if theyd be OK with my dog being brought into the indoor plant area or the office area where you go to pay but they held the door open for her and gave her her space. So it set a really good impression. This place is definitely where I'd go if I had my own property and want working with a blank/empty space. Compared to other nurseries you'll find much bigger plants/trees here.

Home Depot is one of my dad's go to hardware stores so we decided to check them out first. We found a fridge we liked and set a delivery date. This is when everything went down hill. First delivery attempt. The fridge arrived and when it was unboxed, they noticed a large dent in the front of the fridge. Sent it back. Second delivery attempt. Snowpocalypse hit Houston so delivery got cancelled. Getting it rescheduled was a headache and took another week. Third delivery attempt. Fridge arrived. Delivery person was complaining already when he walked in that they were busy and that they would need to remove the front door which is normal process. When he attempted to remove old fridge, he barely put pressure on the water valve on the wall and said it was loose and we needed to call a plumber to get it replaced. They left. My dad decided to check it himself and lo and behold it turned without any problem and valve was not loose. Home depot said they would not send the same people and apologized. Fourth delivery attempt. Fridge arrived. Different driver. Fridge was dented again. They blame the warehouse. Sent it back. They promised 25 percent back on the purchase. Fifth delivery attempt. Same idiot driver from delivery attempt three. He asked if we did the plumbing work and my dad said it didn't need to be done. Home depot agreed. He said we are not getting the fridge and he left. We talked to customer service and they said they would refund even more but at this point we were done with them. My dad does alot of business with Home Depot but this left a very poor taste in our mouth. We went to Lowes and got the same fridge for quite a bite cheaper. They delivered the next day with no complaints about the door. Their standard process is to change the valve anyways at no extra charge even though it didn't need to be changed according to the Lowe's delivery people. They saw the original valve and saw no problem with it. As far as appliances go, we will stay clear of Home Depot from now on. Not worth the hassle.

Every single time I go I find incredibly unique items. They have all of the standard bedding plants, trees, shrubs, roses, etc. What sets this place apart is ALL of the rest. I have found something here literally every time that I have never seen before. Their prices are incredibly reasonable and my plants have always been healthy and happy. If I had a truck I'd be bringing home even more things. You can find 7-15' trees and shrubs for about an incredible value. Their standard bedding plants are $2.49. They do have a large variety of pots, garden accessories, water fountains, etc. For our native plant garden enthusiasts you will find everything you need here, including native milkweed. I have never had a problem with the service. But you do need to go and ask if you have questions or need help. They have always been great to me. If you are used to someone following you around to shop, just understand that won't happen here. I also frequent Warren's, they are lovely, it's simply a different experience. Do: Come early, it's huge and you'll want to take your time. Wear your gardening shoes, the paths are wet and have soil on them. Ask if you have a question or don't see a price sticker. Bring your water and prepare accordingly for outside temps in TX. No, they do not have a restroom. Which is NOT uncommon with our local nurseries. Just plan accordingly and you will be so thrilled you did. The driveways are easy to miss, go very slow on the approach. There are two driveway/entrances and two parking areas. There is ample parking, it just looks a bit daunting at first. This is truly a rare gem. It has everything you could want for all of our hearts desires. If it's rare, hard to find, unique or fun, you're more likely to find it here than anywhere else I've been in HOU or SA. Do yourself a favor and drop by.

One of the plants was supposed to be 10 for $150 per the sign in the yard. However, I was told that the price was higher (10 for $200) while checking out. The cashier called the manager, and I walked back and showed him the sign. He told me that that it was not the correct one and proceeded to rearrange three or four signs in that general area that were all out of place. He then showed me the correct plants at which time I asked him if he could get someone to bring back the plants up front and reload the cart with the correct ones. The manager didn't respond and walked back to the checkout. I asked if he would be willing to split the difference on the cost in lieu of the additional work that was going to be required. I was told that wasn't possible. I asked again about getting someone to swap (there was a guy hanging around the cashier doing nothing) out the plants and he casually walked away. I bought the plants that were on the cart as I had someone waiting to pick them up and deliver them to my house. Not sure why the signs weren't checked when the store opened in the morning, but I'm sure it happens often enough and causes enough issues that they should be. It would have been nice had the conversation between the cashier and manager been in English. They could both communicate with me when necessary but chose to speak Spanish while "addressing" my issue. I'm 70 years old and they let me drag both of the big, wobbly carts to the parking lot on my own while the guy hanging out with the cashier looked on. Additionally, it would have been a bonus if one of the employees would have taken the time to move all of the plants blocking the aisles (blown over or left by other customers) to where they belonged instead of relying on the customers to do it for them. The prices are generally good here, but at this point probably not good enough to make up for the crappy customer service. Going to Home Depot or Lowes next time around.

Ethen listened to my frustration, then proceeded to resolve the issue by confirming the parts I needed were in stock after he checked the part number and assured it was the right one for the system we had. He proceeded to arrange for the correct number of parts to be placed behind self checkout with my name on the label. Were it not for Ethen the manager and I would have had another difficult conversation about customer service and the lack thereof. However this is absolutely a Lowe's corporate problem. It's allowing customer service to suffer at the cost of paying employees a wage that would encourage the staff we need to have in the building. It manages clearances at the ultimate end of caveat emptor; setting stores up with different colored price tags on the rack without explaining which colors identity something being regular priced, sale prices or clearance priced. There isn't any clear marking on things that are on clearance and not to be restocked. Lowes therefore needs to step up its transparency in sell price standards as well as pay its staff an equitable amount. Otherwise we customers will go elsewhere. There is nothing Lowes doesn't sell that we can't get at a competitor or on Amazon.
