They want you to join their "club" and link your bank account to their auto charge account. Uhm, nope, not doing that! In any case, I refused, and got my stuff. The guy just stood there looking over my head and I'm thinking like... Dude, you gonna offer me a bag? Give me my receipt? Say "thank you,... come again"?... Anything???? So I just picked up my stuff, figuring he was through and was just being rude, I had to ask for my receipt, and I left. Won't be going back. Why would I? The place is nothing special. Their food is gross. Not stocked very well.. I mean, for a place that has been under construction for like half a year... You'd think they'd have had time to stock it up. I guess the bit that's there is just.... it... Maverik needs to train their employees, to be more polite! I mean, just common customer service.

Inexpensive gasoline, and relatively few "hard luck story" panhandlers during my brief stop; again, my experience of expensive fuel and expensive bums is SoCal related, so your comparison may vary. I thought for a minute while I was there: "Hey, it's 8 AM, it's 38°F outside, I'm on vacation... I'm getting a breakfast burrito!" But my wife, who can read minds (especially mine) knocked on the window of my truck while I was gassing up and mouthed "NO!" But if you wanted a burrito, or you know, if your wife isn't psychic, there's a little joint inside that makes burritos, and they smelled pretty good when I went in to get some waters for our long road trip that lay ahead. As roadside gas station convenience stores, go, this place was pretty good. And the restroom inside was clean and stocked, so it's already better than 90% of similarly targeted businesses in Arizona and California east of Hemet. I'll probably stop in here again on my next big roadtrip on the 10. And if my wife isn't with me, I'm totally getting that burrito.

I booked a shower on the app which must've been good timing because it was ready. They don't have many showers available so it might be a wait. The cashier was friendly but also watch you like a hawk to make sure no theft. The shower is small and doesn't run hot at all barely even warm so prepare yourself. He threw my receipt in the trash and could not retrieve it from his system and was upset. This is AFTER having to deal with racist Renaldo D. this morning. I have the video , but here's the receipt. Ashley is the only good thing about this store and the best employee there. From now on- I will just go to the Lohman location (like I said I would) it's 2 miles further from my house, but I there is good management, good people and good service there. I feel sorry for the students on Universlty ave. who have to go to this location. Speedway as a card carrying customer you should be ashamed that you hire people who treat regular customers like trash. If Reynaldo D. is in fact the mangager, it makes sense.
