Holiday Inns are pretty basic and decent hotels. This one looks and feels newer. Pretty clean and updated. The room was nice. They are taking some safety measures for the pandemic. I noticed note pads, pens, even bible missing from the room. Understandable. It did make signing the checkout paperwork difficult without a provided pen but thankfully I had one on me. They are still doing a free breakfast but you need to write your order out and they serve it to you. They also had some individually wrapped cookies out in the lobby still which was a nice touch as well. No complaints!

loved staying at this hotel! super comfy and clean, friendly staff and the pool was usually empty. Great option to consider if you're going to the state parks near by :)

I had a fine stay with my wife at this hotel while we attended the Veterinarian Conference at Cornell University... The staff were friendly, the building was clean and the room spacious and the breakfast was free. Would recommend...

I AM TICKED OFF!! Yesterday, I had a maid service come in to clean the room and switch out the sheets. Now first of all, I rarely allow maids into my room when I'm staying at a hotel. I usually take care of everything that needs to be done. Last night, I went to slip these sandals on, so I could run down to the front desk to pick up my food delivery. I only found one of them in my room. I had worn them here. I wore two different pairs of heels out on both of mine and Tim's outings. I searched the room completely, the other sandal is no where to be found. So, I reported it to the front desk last night. The ladies were very gracious and said they'd contact the maids. This morning, I called the front desk to follow up on it. DO YOU KNOW HOW THE MAN RESPONDED TO ME, RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF MY QUESTION????? He didn't even let me finish my question when he started mocking me! "What was it a Louis Vuitton...?" I responded don't mock me, this is very inappropriate. He tried saying that I was implying that the maid stole it. Which I was not. He continued to belittle me. I asked to speak to a manager. He claims to be the GM. I asked him how old he is, because he was behaving very unprofessional. I had suggested to the ladies last night, that it could have been scooped up with the sheets, by accident. Honestly, if someone was going to steal something like this, they would take both of them. This man is in for some trouble from me, after I shower and get myself together.

The Inn is a unique collection of houses and rooms close to downtown Ithaca - walking distance! Upon arriving, I'm greeted by hosts Madeline and Kenn--and the most amazing smells from Madeline's kitchen! Between the local apple cider and the amazing breakfasts, I tell myself calories don't count at the Inn. Some things to note: -Kenn is an architect, see if you can get him to talk about the history of building the inn -The Inn is dog friendly!! -Snag the gazebo is you're wanting some privacy -Bring hiking boots and explore the nearby trails -Book early... there might be times you can be spontaneous, but for big weekends (alumni/reunion, commencement), the rooms book up WAY in advance

Breakfast offerings change daily and she uses the freshest ingredients; I'm super picky and every option sounded scrumptious. It was hard to choose just one! HIGHLY recommend the Gazebo room; it is a standalone room situated towards the back of the property and is very private and romantic. The decor is simple, yet elegant. It includes an oversized jet tub, spacious bedroom and bathroom and mini fridge. There is also a fireplace in the room and is stocked with lavender toiletries. My boyfriend and I appreciated the attention to detail in this room. We will absolutely be back! Madeline and Ken were happy to recommend activities and restaurants as well. There is a lot to do in the area and I cannot wait to visit in the fall. Parking off-street, wi-fi, delicious cookies and juice served in the evenings, beautiful grounds and the list goes on. You will NOT be disappointed with this lovely bed and breakfast.

The owners are visionaries who have taken an 1870's barn and renovated it into an upscale, environmentally conscious building with gorgeous stone work, massive fireplaces, and three floors, each with its own character. While everything is on a big scale, somehow the beauty enables intimacy and depth -- plus, the acoustics were great, which also made everything feel close and quiet. The location is not too far from Ithaca but it is set in a vast meadow and backs onto a state park, so it's quiet and lushly rural. Not only is the locale pretty, but the grounds are fantastic, with exquisite attention to every artistic detail. The plantings in the courtyard and terraces have a brightly colored, distinctive style that falls into a category of its own -- something like "a European garden with a tropical flare." Inside the barn, there are plants and artwork everywhere, in a quirky blend that somehow coheres into an experience of great beauty and delight. The building and grounds come together as a whole that radiates elegance. Although the effect is quite modern, the blend of old and new is really striking. They have thoughtfully left some rough touches that resonate nicely with the pervasive old wood and stone; for example, a massive beam that still sports an ancient birds nest. There is natural light everywhere. I was so enchanted that on the last evening I took about 30 photographs, because I didn't want to leave it all behind. Our presenter stayed overnight on the 3rd floor and was just as smitten. This was a really inviting place to do deep and thoughtful work; but it would serve equally well for a magical party space. I can't wait to return; and I suspect that each season has its particular pleasures there. (I am especially looking forward to a November workshop where I hope we can enjoy the radiant heat in the floors and a fire in one of the big stone fireplaces.)

Stunning. Must be seen. I'd recommend this place for any events. Big rooms, kitchen, great lawns,…read morebeautiful gardens and stonework.
