This place really offers bang for your buck. The staff here is top notch! We stayed here for five days and everyone we interacted with was very welcoming and friendly. They offer a daily hot breakfast buffet from 6 AM to 10 AM. It has things like bacon, sausage and gravy, danishes, and sausages. The dining area also doubles as the business center. It is spacious and clean. The hotel is in a convenient location. Made my daily commute to Cornell quick and easy. There are also many shops nearby. Our room was equipped with a small refrigerator and a microwave so we stocked up at Trader Joe's so we would have good food in our room. There is a market in the lobby that has chips, snacks, drinks, and some microwave foods. They do not sell alcohol. Parking is plentiful, easy, and free. Two bits of constructive crticism. The elevators smell horrible. There is a strange chemical smell. If you've ever gotten your hair permed, it's similar to that, and it is strong! Also, our room wasn't super clean. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed at all and the shower was mildewy. The staff was quick to take care of anything we needed though! We would stay here again. read more

I have no complaints about this Holiday Inn. The room was great, the breakfast was great, and the pool was great! Everything was clean and felt new to me (although I'm not sure of the actual age of the hotel). They even had cookies out as we checked in. I can't complain about the free breakfast either. :) read more

Holiday Inns are pretty basic and decent hotels. This one looks and feels newer. Pretty clean and updated. The room was nice. They are taking some safety measures for the pandemic. I noticed note pads, pens, even bible missing from the room. Understandable. It did make signing the checkout paperwork difficult without a provided pen but thankfully I had one on me. They are still doing a free breakfast but you need to write your order out and they serve it to you. They also had some individually wrapped cookies out in the lobby still which was a nice touch as well. No complaints! read more

Room was great. Bathroom was very nice. Even breakfast, which we usually avoid, was really good. The secret is simply making sure food is warm and fresh. The first morning, bacon was a nice treat. The second morning, it was gone. The coffee station really helped. It was nice having hot coffee or tea in the evening. We'll definitely stay there again when in the area. read more

We stayed at this hotel because my daughter was attending the open house at Ithaca College the next day. We had a truly great experience at this hotel. Everything was clean, fresh and modern. Charging ports were readily available, and the rooms were beautifully appointed. The front desk staff were extremely courteous and helpful. It seemed like a lot of thought and care went into this hotel. From the toiletries to the breakfast bar, everything seemed to go beyond offerings at similar places. We were greeted personally, given lots of useful local information and made to feel like family. It felt like a very warm & inviting place. My daughter left her book there by mistake and the staff retrieved it for us, which was very helpful. If you're staying up in the area, you can't go wrong here. read more

Maybe the desk clerk only deals with younger clientele, but she wasn't very friendly to me. When I couldn't figure out how to get the luggage cart brake to release and asked her I thought I was going to get an eye roll. I'm sure she did roll her eyes when I couldn't figure out how to get the lights to come on in my room & called down to the desk, only to find out the switch by the door controls the entire room. Why?! When we got off the elevator the entire hallway reeked of pot so obviously no care to hide it by some other guest. We thought we were imagining it, but when we came out of the room later it was there to greet us again. I have nothing against pot, but was surprised to notice it being used so openly at a hotel. No sense in telling the eye rolling desk clerk. Hint, if you want a good night sleep ask for a room that doesn't face the street which was buzzing all night long with loud heavy trucks and speeding cars non stop. My last complaint is when did every hotel chain get on the weighted blanket bandwagon?! Seriously! If you have any mobility issues having something like this on your legs is not only uncomfortable, but painful. Cripes! Enough already with following trends! Aside from all that we had a fine stay. I AM TICKED OFF!! Yesterday, I had a maid service come in to clean the room and switch out the sheets. Now first of all, I rarely allow maids into my room when I'm staying at a hotel. I usually take care of everything that needs to be done. Last night, I went to slip these sandals on, so I could run down to the front desk to pick up my food delivery. I only found one of them in my room. I had worn them here. I wore two different pairs of heels out on both of mine and Tim's outings. I searched the room completely, the other sandal is no where to be found. So, I reported it to the front desk last night. The ladies were very gracious and said they'd contact the maids. This morning, I called the front desk to follow up on it. DO YOU KNOW HOW THE MAN RESPONDED TO ME, RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF MY QUESTION????? He didn't even let me finish my question when he started mocking me! "What was it a Louis Vuitton...?" I responded don't mock me, this is very inappropriate. He tried saying that I was implying that the maid stole it. Which I was not. He continued to belittle me. I asked to speak to a manager. He claims to be the GM. I asked him how old he is, because he was behaving very unprofessional. I had suggested to the ladies last night, that it could have been scooped up with the sheets, by accident. Honestly, if someone was going to steal something like this, they would take both of them. This man is in for some trouble from me, after I shower and get myself together. read more

Stayed January 17+18, 2022. My room was somewhat clean. The previous guests Chinese food and soy milk leftovers were in the refrigerator when I arrived. if you can't get a room on the top floor (4) don't bother staying here. Floors/ceiling were paper thin. Could hear person above me walking around all night. I got 2 hours of sleep. The thermostat was missing from my wall. The heat/ac unit near the window could not be adjusted and spit out 60 degree air all night. I was freezing. I told the front desk that night and they said maintenance would take a look at it the next day. They never did. Breakfast buffet was typical or average. I hope you like almond milk because that's all they have. Wont be staying here again. read more

Overnight stay at this Holiday Inn for a college tour next morning. Nice facility, great lobby, easy check-in. Parking lot though was small and we were lucky to get a space. Next morning cars were parked along the wall, in the driveway, etc, as the lot was beyond capacity. Surrounded by food options, including a couple of grocery stores. Room was nice, very well lit, plenty of power outlets and a safe for laptops. Bed on a high platform and comfortable. Great breakfast and nice lady running breakfast. Offered to clean plates, refill coffee. Full breakfast including 2-3 kinds of sausage and bacon. Nice inexpensive full service options for the area. Definitely stay here. read more

Very clean hotels. Excellent value! The hotel feels new and is modern and comfortable. I've stayed st more expensive hotels with horrible old beds but this location had excellent, comfortable mattresses. The pillow selection was great as well. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It's in a good location, off a main road ( 13) which has a lot of stores and fast food for ease. We were about 5 min from The Buttermilk Falls-gorge and 10 from Robert Treman which had a great swimming area. Free buffet breakfast was plentiful and constantly restocked. Coffee/ tea and cookies available all day. Nice indoor heated saltwater pool. Excellent value- excellent stay! read more

Either the hotel is brand new or it was recently completely made over because this HI is awesome!!! They have the high, super comfy beds.. I could've stayed in all day long and the decor is very modern and clean. It's clean lines, clean look and makes you feel like everything's new. The breakfast here is also very nice for HI. The breakfast room is very clean and modern and the buffet has many choices: omelets, cereals, oatmeal, cinnamon buns, fruit, yogurts, etc... I appreciate the option of plain yogurt and healthy toppings along with the pre sweetened and sugar choices. Staff very friendly too! read more

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the Cayuga Lake wineries. The hotel seemed new and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a wide variety of items, though ran out of essentials (like coffee and hot water) and wasn't restocked quickly. The breakfast bar hostess seemed to be chatting a lot instead of making sure everything was stocked. We loved the fresh baked cookies and 24/7 coffee/tea. The room was large and comfortable, though the bed was a little soft. The room also had a keurig, fridge, and microwave. Great location --!close to grocery stores, Walmart, food. We would stay here again the next time we're in town. read more

The place was clean and, though there was usually no one at the front desk and I had to wait several minutes every time I needed help, the facility itself was generally not bad. However, The bed was pretty uncomfortable and had a creepy divot in the middle, meaning that the mattress is really old. All the dispensers in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) were empty. There was no bar soap. There was no coffee. And, worst of all, the internet was incredibly unreliable. It went down every hour or so, and was unavailable for 10 to 15 minutes each time. I contacted the front desk, and they referred me to a central IT service, which I interacted with twice, but without any change. Basically, if you need internet access, don't stay here. read more

Excellent almost new inn located just south of Ithaca, will give you a comfortable night's sleep and more than adequate breakfast. A couple simple fixes recommended to improve my experience: On arrival, greet your guests with a smile and look up from the computer more often. As a host, let guests know about the totally confusing light switch on entering the assigned room. I am not the only guest who could not turn on room and bathroom lights. I was convinced a fuse had blown. Annoyed about having to walk back to reception after 6 hours of driving, I was schooled in how to operate light switches in a specified order, unique in my hundreds of stays away from home. Of course a simple instruction in writing to newbies would have been the sane way to go, supplemented by written instructions on the wall above the switches would have prevented this inconvenience of fumbling fingers uselessly over outlet switches in the dark, or lit by one's iPhone. Another turn off issues is the awful odor forced on guests every time they ride the elevator (like burned roach killer spray) and commented on by other reviewers. The beds are comfortable but way too high up from the floor for many seniors and short guests. The bathroom was quite attractive and the shower worked perfectly and hot water was plentiful. Not sure if I would stay here again as there are so many other motels in town, but I try to book IHG. read more

Brand new hotel about a year old. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean, modern hotel rooms, bathroom was tasteful done. We were in the first floor would not recommend as you can hear people walking around upstairs. Recommend getting a top floor. I've never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before but will make it a point to try another one soon! The reception is a well thought out area. But upon arrival in our room it was more spacious than any other standard hotel room (with 2 queen beds) I've stayed in. I'd say there was and extra 2-3 feet in our room, and that's makes a big difference! The breakfast buffet the next morning was very nice as well. read more

Hotel is either new or newly renovated. Room décor is sleek and modern. There are ac and usb power next to both sides of the bed. The desk lamp also had an international outlet. Bathroom has a large shower and a night light in the outlet that is bright enough to not need the main light but dim enough to not fully wake you up. Pool is indoor. Breakfast has a lot of variety. Fruit, eggs sausage bacon, sausage gravy, cereal, yogurt, bagels, juices and coffee. Bed has pillows of different firmness and is comfortable. Mattress did squeak a little. read more

I came up there for my sons college graduation on May 13. I am an IHG member and have stayed in many hotels with no issues. Upon arrival the AC wasn't working in the room . We told the young man at the front desk who wasn't overly friendly and we waited for someone to fix it . He got it going or so we thought. We then went to the graduation and returned to the room late . Again we noticed the air conditioner wasnt working and by then was 2 am . We called the front desk again requesting a new room but were told there wasn't any available and they sent another maintenance person in who was loud and trying to fix it while I had 2 young kids in the room . He then offered us fans the industrial kind u use to dry a floor. there we were 4 bodies in a room with no air and no ability to open a window On a very hot night in upstate NY. Best yet was the room was 105 and next to the laundry room , across from the boiler room and kitchen so with no AC was extremely noisy The entire night. When I went to complain in the morning I was given an email address cassidy@hiex.yahoo.com who I emailed twice for a refund with no answer. Furthermore I have called corporate twice and no one is listening. I have never had an experience like this in my life . Absolutely awful . Never stay there . read more

Great stay! This hotel is brand new and very nice! We stayed in January 2017 and everything was wonderful right from the start. The staff was very friendly, thanks Courtney and Juan (trainee), you were super! We forgot a couple of things and Courtney helped us out the next morning too! The beds and pillows were very comfortable! Love the choice of the firm or soft pillows! One of workers stopped by our table to ask about the food and our stay and chatted with us for a few minutes, which was a nice touch! Very clean hotel that feels brand new (think it's only 2-3 years old). The hotel staff members were very helpful and attentive. The free continental breakfast in the mornings is one of the best I have ever had in an American hotel. An employee named Sandie would periodically check on guests as they ate breakfast in the common dining area, creating an extra warm and comforting touch. An additional feature I noticed (that truthfully all hotels and, in fact, all public places should have) were the free women's sanitary products placed in very cute baskets in the public restroom on the main floor - we appreciated this very progressive and thoughtful gesture. Hopefully other hotels and institutions learn from your model! Only recommendation would be to have a shuttle going up to the Cornell campus! Thanks for a great stay. read more

This is a brand new hotel! It's is perfect and has everything you need. The room was very large with a great floor plan. The bathroom is modern and equipped with everything you need. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows. The blinds darken the room for a great nights sleep. My son goes to school here and will definitely stay again. The gym even had towels! The pool is beautiful too! The people who work the front desk were super nice and you could tell they care about the hotel. read more

Great Stay! Our room was great: clean, comfortable beds, and well thought out amenities, such as lots of desk/table space, and a rolling desk/table that you could roll over to chair or bed and use for a laptop or to eat for example. Bathroom was big and clean and beautiful, with large pump bottles of shampoo and body wash that seemed much higher quality than the usual ones, with no waste. Breakfast looked much better than the typical free breakfast, but we didn't eat there, only coffee and juice. Staff was very nice. There was some road noise in the morning, so if that matters to you, maybe get a room toward back of building. read more

Stayed at this hotel November 18-19 with three friends for a reunion. It is a pretty new hotel and we were impressed with every aspect of the hotel. Location was convenient to downtown Ithaca. The room was spacious. Bed was really comfortable. Staff was professional, pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast room area doubled as a "family room" type setting to hang out and watch tv or just talk. The included breakfast was much better than your typical free breakfast fare with omelettes, cinnamon buns and other offerings. I was very pleased with this facility. I booked this hotel because of the great reviews and understand why so many people have provided excellent reviews. My compliments to the staff. read more

Stayed for Ithaca orientation and was pleased with how close the Inn is to the college. The inside and outside are very modern with a homey feel that my family loved. There were many amenities that kept us busy for the three days we were there and the television was beautiful (a little hard to navigate but we figured it out!). My biggest concerns were that the beds were very tall and you would either have all the lights on or off - there wasn't much of an in between. Overall beautiful place. read more
