I can't speak highly enough of the Statler. Every point of service was absolutely stellar. The campus is beautiful. The lake view rooms don't really offer much of a lake view, but it's still a gorgeous sight. Housekeeping was wonderful. We also dined about the lounge as well as Taverna Banfi. Both offered amazing service as well as tasty cuisine. The breakfast brunch at Taverna Banfi was especially incredible. Valet service was prompt and friendly. The people employed at this hotel are truly what makes it special. I can't recommend the Statler enough.

I was visiting Cornell, and this was a great hotel to stay at. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were nice, and there was A LOT of school pride in the room. Pros include good water pressure, 24-hour fitness room on the first floor, Keurig in the room, complementary bottles of water, bathrobe and slippers in the closet, free Q tips and makeup wipe, to name a few.

Well the staff is really great the night of check in, but the hot water is tepid, the refrigerator is warm and the Internet connection won't let my phone log onto YELP or anything else for that matter! Thankfully they put my groceries in a fridge at the front desk. Tomorrow I move to a different room, by no fault of theirs, I hope it's better. Day number two, different room, (FYI some are shower only) the water is warmer, the internet is pumping. The staff have still been stellar. Our conference is wonderfully supplied with local treats, fruit, nuts, beverages etc. Their attention to the freshness and cleanliness is nice.

Excellent customer service which is especially noteworthy since the hotel is mostly staffed by Cornell Students. I have received better service here than I have in many "luxury" hotels. My room had an excellent view of the Cornell campus and was clean and well appointed. We had cocktails and dinner in the Regent lounge. Despite being crowded that night the wait service was excellent and they make some of the best unique cocktails i have ever had.

Location: 5 Room: 4 Amenities: 4 Service: 4 Location: A few minutes walk from campus to campus bus stop, engineering buildings, career fair venue and college town (food). Very convenient location. Room: The room is spacious and seems recently renovated. Bathroom is a little small, but I'm glad that they replaced bath tubs with shower rooms. Amenities: Pretty basic amenities (and really all you'd need). The gym is quite small but it doesn't seem to get crowded anyway. Free WiFi is stable most of the time, only lost connection once during my 4-day stay. Service: The staff are very friendly and helpful. Since this is where the hotel managements school students get trained, occasionally you could get someone who's very new and could take a little longer than usual. At check out, I was promised to get my final receipts over email but never end up getting them, but it's a minor glitch. In general I'm quite happy with my stay and would recommend it if you are visiting Cornell.

Top notch hotel right in the heart of the Cornell campus. Undergoing a complete renovation in the early 90's, the hotel still retains a modern, upscale look and feel. But it is showing some wear. And the bathrooms are the smallest I've seen that qualify as "full" baths. They have a lounge-bar that's cozy, friendly, and includes among the beverage options a few Finger Lakes wines. Make no mistake--like a "learning hospital" this is a "learning hotel" where students from the school of Hotel Management earn their stripes in customer service. What they lack in experience, they more than make up for in enthusiasm and courtesy. There is a core group of hotel professionals, as well, that provide the continuity in staff, vital to any business. Location, location, location. If you have business on campus, you can stay here and skip the car. And soak up the great views of Lake Cayuga. The only downside is that the prices are double to triple the other places in town. However, the other hotels in Ithaca don't match the quality of the Statler.

Breakfast offerings change daily and she uses the freshest ingredients; I'm super picky and every option sounded scrumptious. It was hard to choose just one! HIGHLY recommend the Gazebo room; it is a standalone room situated towards the back of the property and is very private and romantic. The decor is simple, yet elegant. It includes an oversized jet tub, spacious bedroom and bathroom and mini fridge. There is also a fireplace in the room and is stocked with lavender toiletries. My boyfriend and I appreciated the attention to detail in this room. We will absolutely be back! Madeline and Ken were happy to recommend activities and restaurants as well. There is a lot to do in the area and I cannot wait to visit in the fall. Parking off-street, wi-fi, delicious cookies and juice served in the evenings, beautiful grounds and the list goes on. You will NOT be disappointed with this lovely bed and breakfast.

The owners are visionaries who have taken an 1870's barn and renovated it into an upscale, environmentally conscious building with gorgeous stone work, massive fireplaces, and three floors, each with its own character. While everything is on a big scale, somehow the beauty enables intimacy and depth -- plus, the acoustics were great, which also made everything feel close and quiet. The location is not too far from Ithaca but it is set in a vast meadow and backs onto a state park, so it's quiet and lushly rural. Not only is the locale pretty, but the grounds are fantastic, with exquisite attention to every artistic detail. The plantings in the courtyard and terraces have a brightly colored, distinctive style that falls into a category of its own -- something like "a European garden with a tropical flare." Inside the barn, there are plants and artwork everywhere, in a quirky blend that somehow coheres into an experience of great beauty and delight. The building and grounds come together as a whole that radiates elegance. Although the effect is quite modern, the blend of old and new is really striking. They have thoughtfully left some rough touches that resonate nicely with the pervasive old wood and stone; for example, a massive beam that still sports an ancient birds nest. There is natural light everywhere. I was so enchanted that on the last evening I took about 30 photographs, because I didn't want to leave it all behind. Our presenter stayed overnight on the 3rd floor and was just as smitten. This was a really inviting place to do deep and thoughtful work; but it would serve equally well for a magical party space. I can't wait to return; and I suspect that each season has its particular pleasures there. (I am especially looking forward to a November workshop where I hope we can enjoy the radiant heat in the floors and a fire in one of the big stone fireplaces.)

Stunning. Must be seen. I'd recommend this place for any events. Big rooms, kitchen, great lawns,…read morebeautiful gardens and stonework.
