The plastic part of the headboard keeps making a popping noise about once every 60 seconds making it impossible for me to sleep. I guess it's changing shape with the change of temperature. Very annoying. I can't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel that didn't have some kind of annoying noise that was keeping me awake. read more

We traveled up here with 63 students for a Showchoir competition. This hotel was close to Jackson Academy and very accommodating for our large group. The hotel has been recently renovated and is modern and beautiful! We were pleasantly greeted by Tocarro at the front desk. She gave us a great warm welcome and checked us all in quickly and we got our room keys. We ordered pizza for our kids and the hotel has a large and inviting space where we were able to eat and unwind. The rooms have also been renovated and are spacious, bright, and inviting. The beds are incredibly comfortable and we all slept so good and woke up well rested. The hotel offers a free continental breakfast. The pancake maker was a big hit with our kids and they're delicious! They also had biscuits & gravy, sausages, egg omelets, an assortment of juices, fruit, and danishes. If we travel this way again, we'd definitely stay here! read more

The location attracted me in the 1st place, close to our state association headquarters. I've stayed at this property many times over the last few years and I've never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, the beds are very nice with many great pillows(thank you for understanding some of us need lots of pillows!) and linens. The staff is always helpful and mostly smiling (some have masks on so I think they might be smiling). The complimentary breakfast is definitely a perk. I do wish the coffee was better but there is a Starbuck's nearby so that's doable and if I ever remember I'll bring my own K-cups of better coffee and Stevia + raw sugar packets. I also like that I can walk to Table 100 for a good dinner and don't have to drive! read more

Better than expected! Beautiful property very clean large spacious rooms. Bed was super comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was great neighborhood felt safe. Lots of dining options. Nearby even the tub was sturdy. Wonderful Dawn soap, products in room a nice variety of hot drinks to choose from in room comes with a Keurig microwave and a small refrigerator two televisions in the king suite couch and plenty of areas for seating bedside table had plenty of outlets ambient light enough to see your way to the bathroom at night. Nice facility, clean inside & out. Room is spacious with nice sized bathroom, comfortable bed & bedding, large HDTV, thermostat controlled heat/air with adequate lighting. I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Flowood. The bed was so comfortable, plenty of pillows, I could tell it was newly remodeled. The bathroom was nice and the King room I was put in was very spacious. The hotel was also very quiet I didn't hear anything. I didn't use any of the amenities during my stay but there is a nice fitness room, pool, computers and a nice conference room that I saw. This is in a safer neighborhood near Jackson with tons of shopping in the area and an outlet mall close by. Parking was in a lot off the hotel and I wasn't worried about my car there. I would definitely stay here again if I was ever in the area. read more

So...I called twice to get directions for the hotel. The city planners of Flowood decided to allow the retailers have the closest access to the thruway, and all the hotels to offer minimal signage behind the strip malls. Both calls were as if I lived in Jackson all my life. The crazy deposits for a one-stay stay in the hotel sent a red flag, and not in a good way. Couldn't find the ice buckets in the room. Went to ask for one; was told they didn't keep any behind the desk, but if I couldn't find one to come back down and they'll look. Strike one. Called for extra towels and blankets - no one to bring any. Strike two. Could use the pool until after 10AM, but check-out is at 11AM. Strike three. Yes, it's very new looking, and it's clean. Those were the only joys of staying here. read more

Most Holiday Inn Expresses are a piece of shit that you can't wait to get out of, this one doesn't really have that vibe at all. The staff is nice and the rooms well appointed and fairly modern. Good Internets and a managers reception (bud light and potato chips...) kind of bring the whole thing together. The one downfall seems to be the extremely high prices: ~$120 for one night seems a little steep to me for the quality of hotel and breakfast. So they lose a star for that, other than that this place is purdy damn good. read more

Holiday Inn Express is rapidly becoming my "go to" hotel of choice.. Their rooms are sparkling clean, in covenant locations. Their morning breakfast buffets are consistently HIGH CALIBRE and TASTY. Check 'em out, you won't be disappointed. read more

Stayed there a couple of weeks ago. Very nice room - clean and well-appointed. Bed was comfortable. HVAC was very good. TV was good sized and channel selection was good. Seating in room was comfortable. Breakfast was sysco food but was decently prepared. Complimentry beer and snacks in the evening were a nice thought, but the snacks were not visually appealing or tasteful. I would have stayed there this week, but no rooms. read more

Appears to be newly built, in a shopping center near a Lowes and a few other upscale restaurants. I stayed only two nights. Flew in quite late and was a bit worried about what I would find. I redeemed my Priority Club Reward points (great deal, BTW) and spent only $50 per night for my stay. My room was on the 5th floor, quiet, and large. I enjoyed the free breakfast. No complaints and its about 15 minutes to the airport so that's a big plus too. read more

This is a great hotel - friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, good free wifi, plentiful and fresh free breakfast. It is easily accessible with plenty of parking. Everything in the room was operable - hairdryer, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and electrical outlets (I have been to hotels where outlets didn't work). Thank you, thank you to the staff at the Holiday Inn Express! They were very professional and gracious in working with me as I was an evacuee from Hurricane Irma. I was in a suite which was very clean, quiet, and roomy. Wifi worked great. Cable, hair dryer, lights, bathroom, coffee maker, microwave, cable tv were all in great working order. Parking lot was accessible. It was my escape from the chaos Florida was experiencing! I didn't have the breakfast because I slept in the mornings after all the driving I did the 3 days before. So I can't comment on that. Very pleased with my stay. The Holiday Inn Express chain has never disappointed me. read more

Not very impressed by hotel. When my flight arrived, I called for the shuttle but was told the shuttle driver called out. No alternative was offered. I had to pay for a $40 Cab ride. The check-in was decent, but the man at the front desk was very uninviting. The room smelled musty, and had a sizeable gap under the door. The walls must have been paper thin, as I could hear the other guests conversations as if I were sitting next to them. I am an IHG Platinum Elite member and have stayed at many Holiday Inns. This rates well below the others. read more

A little run down but acceptable. Would prefer oatmeal already cooked in the crockpot instead of prepackaged (no microwave in the common room. ) Cinnamon rolls need to be covered so they don't get hard. Needs do not disturb sign for the rooms. HVe stayed here twice in 2 years. read more

Stayed here for one night. Checked credit card statement and I had been charged twice and my friend once, all on the same bill and for the same room. Talked to Cliff and the manager Jeff Nail who said that he didn't know WHAT happened or HOW it happened but there was NOTHING he could do, I should check with Amex. Amex says the hotel authorized the hold and eventual charge and it was up to Holiday Inn Expess to release the hold. This issue still hasn't been resolved. Breakfast did not have unflavored cream for the coffee, milk was 2% or skim and no real butter ... just the chemical laden margarine. Won't stay here again. read more

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. First the front desk staff is incompetent. Seriously, how hard is it to add an extra night to your stay when the room is already paid for, your plans have changed and you will be in town a night early ?? Apparently, extremely difficult! Second only one elevator was running, seriously? One elevator? Next, The pool rails are barely staying together and the ladders were missing steps. And last but not least the staff is allowed to walk just outside the door for smoke breaks?? Really??
