Had reservations on Friday, December 26th. Within about 30 minutes of arriving around three bedbugs in my bed as I was speaking to the clerk downstairs a lady overheard me and she immediately went to her room to check. As I was checking out, she told me she found them in her room as well. She was on the second floor. I was on the third floor. Clerk seemed un concerned. Dimples(so she says her name is) the front desk lady is or appears to be incompetent. I stayed here last week because I drive trucks and pass through weekly if not twice weekly . I stayed here last week! She checked me in same info and same company card!! Had to change rooms twice due to one not being clean and other one with no working lights!! She said she just started and apologized while trying to hurry back to a book she was reading on tablet! I come this week she says I am a VIP IHG member, give id and use same exact information (already reserved) she says name has to match exactly on card yet its a company card smh I ask her to contact manager she says she is the manager which I know to be a LIE because i was here last week when another customer on phone asked for one and she said they arent in and she would leave message! This Holiday Inn Express definitely will not get any more of my business or the anyone I send this way! Not like the rooms are cleaned it was mold on bed skirt!!! Noticeable too! And she sent to another room that should have been out of order for lights! Then she asked me to call company, its 11:30 pm Im not calling anyone this late she tells me I asked hwr to call manager smh what type of customer service does those lady have!!! Count the red flags : 1) OU home game weekend, so the rates were jacked up to $300+ dollars... But that is somewhat expected. But for that much money... You expect a clean room... Which we did not get. 2) only 1 tiny trash can for a 2 room Suite. 3) only 3 towels and 2 hand towels and wash cloths... So had to go to the desk for more. 4) the pull out sofa bed had no sheets on it and there were none in the closet.... Had to go back to the desk for those too.... And no extra pillows 5) the carpet was really dirty 6) maybe the biggest issue... Under the bar sink was a lot of trash, see Pic. Empty coke cans... Half eaten bags of chips. 7) 2 room suite.. So 2 TV's... One of the TV remotes had no batteries.... Had to go to the front desk again 8) no do not disturb sign in the room On the plus side, the grandkids did enjoy the breakfast. I know a lot of places are struggling to keep up with employees in service type jobs these days... And any one of these issues by itself wouldn't have been a big deal... But added together.... First night we found a bunch of dirty towels left in the closet, also bathroom sink won't drain properly; my wife told the manager the next morning, along with requesting for our room to be cleaned, then we were out most of the day, when we came back, room wasn't cleaned, dirty towels still in the closet and bathroom sink still not FIXED! We will NEVER, EVER stay here again, I'm not a person leaving bad reviews everywhere but this hotel definitely deserves it! read more

Unfortunately this hotel doesn't have any maintenance. Broken hot tub going on a month now. This hotel does not check your preferences for the stay. If they do they did the complete opposite of what I have down for mine. I was hoping it would get better here but it's only gotten worse the last year. Fortunately we are nearing completion of our job in the area and don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Nothing against holiday inn as a whole. Just this one is going down hill real fast. Hopefully they will start training their employees because the girl that checked me in tonight doesn't even know to offer a beverage or points at check inn. She told me she was never told. I doubt I got my points because I'm pretty sure she hasn't a clue on how to. Hope things improve for future guests. P.s. The furniture in the lobby has had the same stains for a year and a half now and probably longer. read more

Stay Date 7-26-23 Hotel: Holiday Inn Express & Suites 2500 Conference Drive, Norman Ok. 73069 Complaint: Bed Bugs Found after turning in for the night...started itching pulled covers back and saw bugs crawling in the sheets and pillows... I checked out at 2:00 a.m. told desk I didnt think I should be charged for this Bed Bug experience she said she had no authority to refund and would have GM call me first thing in the morning, I never got a call so I called and Clay (GM) was in a meeting...called again still in meetings...called the next day he was not in...called again this morning 7-31-23 he was not in...a while later I got a call from Clay...Basically told me he wasnt going to refund because his hotel does not have bed bugs. Holiday Inn Express in Norman is perfect. My family and I have stayed there multiple times and always have been treated very well and the price is very reasonable. They are located in North Norman and only a few minutes away from downtown Norman and the University of Oklahoma campus. The rooms are clean and there's more than adequate parking with easy access to all the area highways. Management is always attentive and professional. The area is well lit and safe. I would give it no star if I could. I had to stay here for work. My work made the reservation and paid for the room. I kept feeling creepy crawly things but could never find evidence of bed bugs until my 2nd day. Saw one crawling on the bed and was able to catch and smash it. I took it to the front desk and was told they had no room toove me to and management wasn't there. I told the girl that was not acceptable and she said she would figure so.ething out, but if I moved rooms, my clothes and things would have to sent through a dryer first. I said no problem. I'm gonna do that before I take my belongings I to my home. I asked her if housekeeping or someone would be there after my meeting to run my things through the dryer. She told me I would have to run them through the dryer in guest laundry and she would have the next shift know what room I was being moved to and make sure they had quarters for me. When I returned after my meeting, the girl at the front desk said she could exchange bills for quarters but she wasn't going to just give me some. I said whatever, I'm tired, but I should NOT have to pay to heat treat my things due to their bed bugs. Later when I back to get a soda and candy bar from their store front touch while I'm heat treating my things, the front desk tells me the total but she has no cash. WHAT!! What front desk has a store front but no change. So not only am I paying to heat treat my belongings, I can't get a snack either? The accommodations were fine, but the person working the front desk was by far the rudest, most egocentric person I've ever encountered.

The manager and check in person were condescending. The date was 6/26/23 at 2:50 pm. I think because my husband was older and not important to them. They acted disrespectful and made him feel like they didn't care. They both said "If you don't like it go to another hotel" but we will still charge you for your night here. We wanted to stay at their hotel. We are priority members. We have stayed there 8 times this year. They didn't care to make things right. We always thought no matter how large a company was they would want to make their customers happy. It was a sad stay. It was a shift change. The new front desk employee was nice. We had dealt with her many times before. She was professional but could not change what the manager did. read more

Five star service by Dave!! We pulled into Norman on our way through Oklahoma. Great location next to everything you would need, in case your family is like mine and always forgets something when traveling. The immediate area has Target, Academy, and several eateries. We ate at Bad Daddy's for dinner across the street and enjoyed it. Holiday Inn was clean & accommodating. When we had a few requests regarding our vehicle, we received more than expected! Having just had our car broken into before traveling, we were concerned about safety. Dave was the best and took care of our concerns! He was there in the evening when we arrived, and morning when we left. Give the guy a vacation, he deserves one! Free Breakfast was well serviced and had a little something for everyone - cereal, cinnamon rolls, fruit, omlettes, sausage, coffee, juice, pancakes, etc. We will be back! Very clean. Very nice. Front desk and breakfast and cleaning staff very pleasant. Only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 would be because each day for a five day stay cleaning staff neglected to leave cups for the coffee or just one wash cloth or no hand soap, toilet tissue- something different every single day. Refrigerator broken, TV not working, shower broken, trash under the couch, dirt on side tables, missing coffee table, coffee pods were never replenished, missing wash cloths and generally just a dirty hotel (surprising since it appears to be relatively new). When issues were brought to the front desk clerk upon checkout, she was very argumentative. The clerk asked why we didn't address these issues after we checked in. We did - we were told nothing could be done since they were sold out. I asked housekeeping directly for coffee pods - we got none (clerks response to this - "housekeeping staff doesn't speak English". Lie - the housekeeper I spoke to acknowledged my request). When I told the front desk staff the TV was broken (Sat night) I was told maintenance had left until Monday morning but I could speak to the manger in the morning. Morning came then I was told the manger wouldn't be in until Monday morning. Do yourself a favor and look at one of the many other hotels in the area for your stay. I wouldn't stay here next time if it was free. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The bed was broken. The front desk never answered. No one came to the front desk for 10 minutes to check in. I rang the bell and said hello still no one. Finally a young lady came to the desk quite inconvenienced and check me in. When I stoped at the front desk this morning to let them know of the experience the young man replied with "K". I said I travel for work and I stay at IHG across the country this was below IHG standards. His response... "K". The hotel is filthy and the service is awful. Skip this one. read more

One of the better Holiday Inns or even a hotels I've stayed at in a really long time, and in Norman, Oklahoma! Not only is the reception area clean and nice, so are the rooms. The pillows, sheets, and blankets were all comfortable and it didn't have that been tossed in laundry so many times kind of feeling. The employees are welcoming and polite. Ok I stayed on Monday and Thursday for $119. A more than fair rate. I needed to come back on the next Tuesday. I dragged in at 12:30a, the rate jumped to $152. Uber rates system strikes again. Nice hotel. Good area. Front desk staff pretty friendly. Was here in the room 5 minutes or so and they knocked on the door asking for the luggage trolley. I asked if I could have time to get my luggage off of it. When I reopened the door the staff had been replaced by someone, customer, who grabbed it stating they had looked all over the hotel for one. Literally grabbed the only one they had and had it a total of 10 minutes max, yet staff annoyingly rushed the situation. Seemed odd, not a good way to start a stay after a long drive. After a horrendous flight from Ca to OKC where everything had gone wrong I was anticipating the worst when it came time to check in. A relative had made the reservations so I was going in sight unseen. Boy was I wrong! The staff that greeted us were so friendly and helpful. When we got to the room we were pleasantly surprised to find a very well decorated room that was clean and very inviting. Both the beds were extremely comfortable which in a hotel is saying a LOT! Everyone there from the housekeeping staff to front desk went out of their way to greet us every time they saw us, give us directions when we were lost and did their jobs in a professional and prompt manner. The lobby was always clean and inviting. The breakfast bar was a great place to get our days started with fresh coffee and cinnamon roll, or pancakes that were really good! We didn't use the pool but it looked well kept and clean. My daughter and I were traveling alone so safety was a huge concern for us. There was no need to worry the parking lot was very well lit and I would recommend this hotel to any woman traveling alone. I can't say enough good things about this property and the staff. Each one added to a great stay and I will definitely being staying with them again. Thanks to each of you for making this trip a pleasure. read more

We made reservations for this hotel. We had canceled our reservation for one night. Apparently they didn't actually cancel that night even though I got a confirmation code. So they canceled our room for all nights when we didn't show up that day. Fortunately they did comp our room at another hotel that night, but I was still very mad. read more

Terrible experience here. Breakfast was so dismal, same bland food (day in/day out) so we went out to eat breakfast after the second day. In this case, you got less than what you paid for. When we checked into our room, the floor had water all over it. Maintenance brought up a fan and tried to suck water out of the carpet. The air conditioner kept shutting off and the room would get up to 85 while we were sleeping. Furthermore, there are blinking lights that keep you up all night (attached to the smoke alarm/carbon alarm on ceiling of bedroom). By the second night we covered it up with a piece of foil. 4 days into our stay the manager called my cell phone and accused us of smoking cigarettes and marijuana in the room and threatened to charge us a fee for smoking!! Apparently, a new maid was cleaning our room and she told the manager she suspected smoking due to the fan in the room (their fan!!) and the foil over the light on the smoke detector. I was also told they sent someone else to our room to see the evidence (which is illegal). I was furious and promptly checked out. The maid had stolen my kendall charger so perhaps she was trying to cover her tracks. I don't know. We had told them that we put foil on the smoke detector days ago. The manager refused to have the maid apologize and was vey rude. She denied accusing me of anything! Talk about twi-light zone strange, she literally lied in my face. Save yourself some grief and lack of sleep, go anywhere else! I have travelled the world and never in my life have I been treated like this. read more
