Hotel Review: Holiday Inn & Suites - A Disappointing Stay I stayed at this Holiday Inn & Suites for six nights, and it was easily one of the most unpleasant hotel stays I've ever had. * Room Conditions: On arrival, the air conditioning was not working, and the room was extremely humid. I called the front desk only to be told there were no available rooms. Their solution? A box fan. That should've been the first red flag. * Wi-Fi Issues: The Wi-Fi didn't work the entire first night. When I called the front desk, they gave me a number to troubleshoot, and that tech support told me the Wi-Fi was overloaded--which is unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. * Cleanliness & Safety Concerns: * The shower and cabinets had black mold, and from the looks of it, it's been there a while. * The shower head was leaking from the hardware, which wasn't properly sealed or installed. * Tiles in the bathroom were falling off, revealing mold behind them. * The fire suppression system was partially detached from the wall, which doesn't inspire confidence in safety standards. * The couch had a questionable stain that looked disturbingly like dried bodily fluids -- absolutely disgusting. * Maintenance & Access Problems: * I had to replace my room keys four times during my stay. * At one point, they even rented my room out to someone else while I was still checked in. * Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast was also a disappointment. The bananas and oranges were old and clearly spoiled -- should've been thrown out. Bottom Line: This hotel does not meet the basic standards of cleanliness, comfort, or professionalism you would expect from the Holiday Inn brand. Between the mold, HVAC issues, internet failure, and disturbing lack of hygiene, this was not just a bad stay--it was a health hazard. Avoid this location at all costs. If I could zero stars I would.

You can see it . That was just one area . Phone would pick up the whole wall being further away

Checked in this morning. Front end staff was nice . When you come in it's super nice everything is clean . Then you get to the room. Room was nice , bathroom was dirty . The soap holders had black hair and yellow residue. The wall had black curly hair on the wall . Shower was never cleaned pretty damn nasty

    Morning breakfast.

Good hotel to spend a night or two. Second time me and family was staying in this location. Overall good experience with no major issues. The room could be a bit cleaner. Plenty of parking and convenient location.

    Booger in sink!?

This hotel is super dirty. Clumps of hair on the ground and boogers (I think!?) in the sink. There's grime built up in the shower and the hotel also has a musty odor. If we weren't so tired on our cross country drive we would leave. Also, it says pet friendly but then they surprise you with a fee at check in.

This thing blinked/flashed every 5 to 8 seconds. Very noticeable in a completely dark room

The room itself was okay. Clean, beds were comfortable. However, you can hear everything from the rooms above you and next to you. EVERYTHING. We got no sleep due to the gaggle of girls in the room above us screaming and laughing and stomping until about 3:00 am. Once they finally stopped, the people in the room next door to us started with the laughing, and screaming and were just as loud. I also smelled 'recreational drugs' during this time but I'm not sure what room that was coming from. I think that stopped around 6 am. Lastly, there was a light flashing from what I think was a smoke alarm every 5 to 8 seconds ( I timed it). In a completely dark room, this can be annoying as well. After being on the road most of the day, I just wanted to sleep. I don't think that was too much to ask.

Her energy and excitement throughout the entire tour made me excited and I could truly picture myself getting married there. Six months before wedding: The planning meeting. My fiancé and I met with our assigned wedding coordinators. This was a seamless experience. We felt heard and they knew exactly when to jump in and support us with decision making. This two hour meeting felt like five minutes because we were having such an enjoyable time planning the most important day of our lives. We left the meeting feeling extremely excited and ready to go. They also assured us they were able to make changes, talk through any worries or add to our original plan. We could email or call any time! After this meeting I was able to communicate any small changes, detail questions, or concerns via email. They were quick to respond and instantly made changes to our planning sheet as requested. This entire process was seamless and I was never left hanging. Two weeks before the wedding: I sent an email that was left unanswered for several days. I finally received a response from the owners, not the coordinators who I had been communicating with since day one. Then the owners began asking me questions that had been gone over in detail in our planning meeting. Instant red flags started popping up. I sent another email asking why I was no longer communicating with my coordinator. I received the response: "when you sign with Drakewood you sign with our team as a whole." This is completely reasonable, but not a single person introduced themselves or offered any sort of explanation as to why I was all of the sudden moved from one person to the owner. The owner, assured me that I would be working with her most experienced coordinator and that she herself would be supporting us the day of our wedding. Frankly I wish the owner had not been there. Day of: The owner did not once welcome me to the venue or introduce herself. The groomsmen, father of the groom and the groom were unloading cars due to no staff there to help. They stacked bar stock in the venue. They were even asked to move the bigger boxes behind the bar once they were already placed inside, to which my husband responded "you can have your staff move them to the correct location. We are here to celebrate our wedding not work for you." The owner had no clue what was going on and was walking around asking questions that had been gone over when I was working with my original coordinators. This was extremely unprofessional and very upsetting. During the rehearsal, the owner told everyone how they would walk in when we had already explained how we had planned to do it. She said we don't usually do it this way and was met with my mother and sister telling her this is how the bride wants it done. Finally an experienced coordinator showed up who actually had her act together. I am absolutely positive if she had not shown up, our day would have been a disaster and a complete disappointment. This coordinator was professional, dressed appropriately for a wedding (unlike the owner who walked around in a bright pink T-shirt for the entire day) and made sure to check in and keep me in the loop from start to finish. They were completely understaffed and it was evident. I am grateful for my new coordinator and all of her help. She truly pulled the entire day together and turned it around. I would hope that in the future, the owner would make sure to communicate with the bride and the families when big changes happen. The entire staff that I worked with leading up to the day was no longer there and I was left in the dark until I started asking questions. This is not how any bride should feel especially when you are spending a LARGE amount of money. In the end we had a beautiful day surrounded by everyone we love! Shout out to our photographer Alyssa Flake who made sure to keep the energy high and was just an absolute dream to work with! Some key moments that I will give Drakewood major kudos for: -Our new coordinator actually did have her act together and I'm glad she was able to step in and make my day come together -The florals were out of this world beautiful! (Although they forgot to give the men boutonnieres so most of our photos have no florals for the men) -The table settings looked incredible (we picked them out but they were executed properly) -The DJ was great and communicated with us in a very timely manner -Food was great, cake was awesome -The setting is stunning and everyone could not stop talking about how beautiful it was

The garden ceremony area was expansive with the sun shining over the fields. The setting made the perfect backdrop for the couple's photos, complete with wildlife in the background. After a lovely ceremony, we enjoyed cocktail hour and then moved into the reception space, which was exactly what this couple had dreamed of. The band played, and we danced the night away. Just note there's no air conditioning in the reception barn, but there are very large fans. Long Hollow Gardens & Vineyards was the perfect venue for this Bride and Grooms dream wedding. It will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We bought General Entry tickets & wildflower picking tickets online a few weeks in advance. When we got to the gardens they asked for our names and directed us to park. Once inside we stopped over a the bar for a wine tasting - all of the wines are made in Tennessee on property - and bought 2 bottles for us to enjoy throughout the night. We also checked in for wildflower picking at the bar and were given glass jars to fill with flowers. The staff was very kind and helpful during that process. I also thoroughly enjoyed the free strawberry lemonade and regular lemonade that they provided guests, though some of my friends thought it was too sweet! Our one mistake was not going to pick flowers earlier in the night. We started when the sun was setting, but the area was so large that it was dark by the time we were finished. It was also the last week for wildflower picking, so there weren't as many left available as I imagine there is earlier in the month. We also ordered pasta from Pasta Gailfi, a food truck that was on site and enjoyed it at our table. If I were to do it over again, I would also bring our own food and a deck of cards or a board game for us to enjoy as well! The venue was stunning, and I imagine it acts as a beautiful wedding venue as well.
