One of my favorite clubs in Nashville. The only place that doesn't play country music which I love…read more I love when they play hip hop & top 40's. You can check out the calendar to see what they're playing for the night, the ambiance in there is great-definitely a mix of LA & New York. It's a mix crowd which I love. The manager & all the staff there are very welcoming, I normally reserve a table there when I go & the prices are very reasonable.

Nashville's lounge revolution continues. We've gotten Nashville's take on Brooklyn, LA and Vegas…read more the back corner is very Miami Beach. When I walked in I, immediately, thought of Haven (RIP https://www.yelp.com/biz/haven-miami-beach-2). From the LED wall to the music to the drinks to the vibe... I didn't feel like I was in Nashville anymore. the back corner stands out and gives Middle Tennesseans something that's not readily available in this area. If you're in the mood for a little coastal cosmopolitanness (is that word? It's not a word), the back corner is about to be your new favorite place. The neighborhood gets things moving in the right direction. For as much as Germantown has (scenic streets, fancy high rises, coffee, good eats) it didn't have a nightlife destination. Putting one here makes a lot of sense. Building off the 5th & Taylor imprint, the back corner starts off fancy (but not pretentious) and builds to memorable. Upon entry, the first thing you notice is the LED wall and stage. With a changing display of electronic intoxication, you're drawn into a world far away from Lower Broad. If you can break your gaze away from the stage, you'll notice the upper and lower lounge seating. Intimate, cozy and a bit mysterious, the seating at the back corner lets you decide whether you want to be front & center or if you're rather sit back and take it all in. You can be as public or private as you'd like. If indoor seating isn't your thing, make your way outside to enjoy the fire pit and Germantown night sky. Just do us all a favor and refrain from smoking. Seeing cigarette butts along the patio or by (in??) the fire pit is not sexy and very off-brand. All the above said and noted, the back corner is not a huge space -- which is a plus and minus. It's a plus because it never becomes the cavernous mess of bass and desperation. The minus is crowds gonna crowd and with a lot of people, the space will be tight. I don't know how to fix that. I suppose a velvet rope and waitlist will keep crowds at bay but neither feels very Nashville. Hmm... Another minus (relating to the size) is that there's only one bar. One bar in a space this cool is a bit tight. I know the space behind the bar isn't huge but I would staff it with 3 bartenders at a time so as to keep up with the crowd. Because you're going to want to drink. A lot. The cocktail program at the back corner is a bit unusual for Nashville -- and very Miami. Expect rum, colors and a boozy punch. Actually, the menu could use a punch. Get on that, tbc. Re drink progression... start with the gimlet. It's pretty to look at and refreshing to drink. All the mixers, juices, etc. are made in house so you're getting quality fare. From there, hit the No. 4 and, then, the No. 2. If you're still upright, drink some water. Water? Who am I kidding? Cocktails! You're in Miami, [redacted]! Well, sorta. If you need some noshes, 5th & Taylor is serving up bites. Don't come here for dinner. Who eats food? Let the music and booze nourish your body. As perfect as the back corner is for DJ sets, live music (this *is* Nashville, after all) works as well. the back corner isn't the Downtown dance club people have wanted for a (looooong) while. But it is a welcome addition to the city's nightlife scene and, very possibly, you're new favorite place to go. Bienvenidos a Nashville.

Mother's Ruin in Germantown is a great spot for dinner and drinks or a place to stop before going…read moreout. The whipped feta is definitely a must order. It comes with a lot of bread and is so good. Their smashburger is also really good, and the waffle fries are amazing. The drinks are a highlight too. I loved the skinny margaritas, and the frozen blackberry mule was so good. They have a really nice patio that's perfect for hanging out. The only downside is that I feel like they close the patio/space a little early around 10 PM, and after that the inside gets extremely packed and it's hard to move around. The mozzarella sticks were good, but a lot of them were missing cheese, which was disappointing. Overall, still a really fun spot with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out for a casual dinner or drinks before heading out.

Luckily it was walking distance from one of the trolley stops (Farmers Market). We came in on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy but we were able find a spot. We started with drinks. We then ordered a falafel sandwich with the waffle fries and a queso dip. The fries and the dip were delicious. The falafel sandwich was also good. The service was quick and we picked up a t-shirt on the way out. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Wow wow wow! Now I know what everyone was talking about with their steak dinner…read more I was really looking forward to the rolls again since they're the same as the Optimist. They didn't disappoint, we even asked for more. We got the frozen espresso martini and it's probably the best frozen version I've had. Easy and tasty salad. The onion rings were delicious with a little kick in the batter. Now the FRIES were unexpected. Basically a mix of fair fry and a wedge. Crunchy, salted well, and thick. Contender for the best fries I've ever had. Now the steak was delish. We got a filet and ribeye, both delicious. For the price of this meal, it's so worth it. I loved the artists singing. Such a nice voice and good vibe. They were from out of town but hope they come back and play elsewhere. We'll be back for the burger happy hour!

Star Rover Sound doing something really fun in Germantown. It's a dinner and live music concept…read moretucked into a smaller, more intimate setting. Think cozy venue feel with a western motif. It's the kind of place that gives you something a little different from your usual Nashville night out. We went on a Saturday and I ordered the filet. Every steak comes with the full spread: Salad, bread, and fries/onion rings. Great value for what you pay. The steak was cooked and seasoned well, the salad featured a standout buttermilk dill dressing that I really loved, unlimited rolls with that perfect touch of sweetness and salt, and a huge basket that's half onion rings, half fries. I was stuffed! The fries deserve a special mention. Thicker cut with an incredibly crispy exterior, almost like a potato skin in fry form. For drinks, I ordered their Filthy Martini and they let me call my gin of choice. Gin drinkers, you'll appreciate that. It was well crafted and exactly what I wanted. A few practical things worth knowing before you go. There is a $10 charge added to your bill that goes directly to the band, which I think is completely reasonable especially given the meal you're also getting. Parking is not validated or covered so plan accordingly. The band playing when we visited Saturday around 7:30 wasn't the most memorable I've heard in Nashville, but the lineup rotates so your experience may vary. Either way, having live music as the backdrop while you eat adds a really nice energy to the evening. Overall a worthwhile and unique addition to the Nashville dining scene.

The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, and I honestly prefer this location over the Gulch because the patio is bigger and more comfortable. I think the food is also a little better here. The crispy buffalo chicken wrap is always a go to, and the Titan sandwich is another favorite. The service is consistently great, and I love that this location is a little more relaxed. This is definitely the Neighbors location I would recommend for larger groups. They have bigger outdoor tables, TVs outside, and it's usually not as crowded, making it a great spot to watch a game or hang out with friends.

You find all the necessary munchies, smoked wings, mozzarella sticks, burgers.... You get it, all the sports bar fixings but with really good bartenders that can also shake you a sofisticated cocktail. They got the volume ON for the game of the day! (Many "sports" bars in town do not). A true sports bar, also you know if you see Metro PD eating here it's a good place. And don't forget the outdoor seating, also with perfect opportunity to watch your favorite team.
