This hotel does not have a Hot Tub and the pool is outside. Breakfast has a lot of options with Pancakes, Fresh Ground Cup of Coffee, oatmeal, Biscuits and Gravy, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, etc. Front Desk staff is friendly and has personality. Very helpful! Hotel is clean inside and out and doesn't smell like smoke or Marijuana at all. read more

Our goal was to make it to Texarkana but they were sold out of rooms so we stopped in Hope instead. Holiday in express is usually a go to for us but this one was not up to the usual standards. Service was great, lobby was nice, furniture was nice in the room but the hotel itself was rundown. The room was dank, musty and humid. We called to get the AC worked on, it helped a little bit but not much. Mildew all over the shower. It was just kind of yuck. Found a qtip on the ledge trim in the room. The doors are banged up and a lot of paint on them. Seems like a lot of paint covering up a lot of years of wear and tear in the room. I wouldn't stay here again next time we come through town. read more

From the moment I hit the front door it was a bad experience. I should have just turned around and walked back out the door. The girl behind the desk had the attitude of "take it or leave it" which is what I would have done....left it. Room was less than desirable. Mold in the shower, no wash clothes, bathroom door would not close, heat and A/C would not regulate properly, pillows were flat as a board, and all employees were less than friendly. Worst I have experienced in a very long time. I wish I would have skipped this one. read more

I live in Hope and don't stay in the hotel but I have a lot of family that stay there when in town. I go visit them and I am very impressed with the cleanliness of rooms, friendly staff and breakfast area. Family always brags about the breakfast and how roomy it is in the breakfast area. Great place, great staff - give them a try. read more

Clean room! Safe area! BEST breakfast I have ever had at a Holiday Inn (or any other hotel)!! Omelettes, biscuits and gravy, fresh, hot cinnamon rolls!! Sooo much more! We only stopped in on our way to Hot Springs, but we will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area! read more

Terrible experience with the management team. Harrassed on the day of checkout requesting i come down early because my card wasnt working over a $30 per fee after paying for two nights upfront via a 3rd party and the third party stated the pet fee was included in the price because its a hotel that accept pets! I do not recommend this hotel due to its rude employees. read more

Beds are moderately comfortable... I was however very comfortable here. Chris was very helpful as he brought toilet tissue up at 1:30 AM as I only had one roll and that's not enough for me. And I thanked him profusely. I will say however the toilet was filthy!!!!!!!!! This is not what I expect from Holiday Inn. So I was disappointed. read more

This was so disappointing! Never have I stayed at such a gross place...Especially at a Holiday Inn Express. If I could give it a negative rating I would. The musty smell was horrific...so bad so that they thought a plug in air freshener was needed‍ but not fixing the problem. If we haven't already drove 16-17hours that day we would have left immediately! Just the smell alone made you instantly feel like you couldn't breath and that you were the dirtiest person. This was an older hotel that slapped the HIE name on. You know the saying "can't put lipstick on a pig"...I think they came up with that for this hotel. read more

On my day of the reservation I was called saying my cc wouldn't go thru that is on file. I explained to the hotel manager that I was driving and couldn't give him a second card number at that time. He rudely advised that if I didn't give it immediately that the room could not be held. Again I told him I was driving and couldn't give him the number. He then told me I was being offensive and non-compliant and he was canceling my reservation and I was banned from the hotel. I travel all over and have never been treated in anyway close to this from a hotel manager. I called IHG and discussed with them and found out that the hotel was booked and sold out and they could not reserve me a room there due to this. So I had the room booked for months for a cheap rate and it got canceled on me the day of and sold at a higher rate. I didn't get rude until he told me the room was being canceled. I would not stay there after this ever and after reading some of the reviews sounds like I was better off not staying there. read more

I got a good deal on Priceline for this room and very thankful that it was so cheap. Otherwise, I'd been very disappointed to pay $130 a night for this. It reminds me of a low quality Quality Inn. Upon entering the room, we were engulfed with a strong musky moldy older. Despite the air conditioner, the room stayed muggy feeling all night. The gym has a few dumb bells and 3 different cardio machines. The elliptical squeezed the entire time. The Buffett was bland. Sausage tasted horrible. But there is a variety and nice seating area. read more

Clean room and the bed was VERY comfortable! I loved the pillows and blankets, really wanted to take them home! I do find it kind of gross that the coffee maker is just a few feet away from the toilet in the bathroom though. Complimentary breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly and accommodating!! This is an old Holiday Inn pretending to be a new Holiday Inn Express. We stopped here for one night and we weren't impressed. The room was humid feeling and musty smelling. The sheets felt dirty and had hairs on them. We couldn't wait to leave the next morning and be on our way. I'm giving it 2 stars (vs. 1 star) because the breakfast was warm and free. It'll do. Reasonably priced and very clean. The lighting is awful, it's very outdated fluorescent in the bedroom and bathroom and our bathroom light barely turned on. It's a decent place to stay if you need a quick stop--I wouldn't recommend staying longer than a night. read more

I travel A LOT - this hotel is perfectly fine. My room was clean and spacious (standard room - king size bed). I stayed on a Saturday night for $92.12 - includes taxes and fees - very reasonable. I'm a relatively light sleeper - it must have been quiet or I would have woken up. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room has some good features... Flat screen TV with HD programming, plenty of counter top space, refrigerator and microwave. The problems I encountered was an AC unit that kept me sweating for hours, and a room that smelled like a fermented Mango Pineapple drink from McDonald's. The Hope location is a decent hotel, for short stays. The staff was very friendly, and the Interstate location is great for weary travelers. The rooms are below the standard of modern Holiday Inn Express, but, the price is on par with new locations. The beds were also below what I've come to expect, and I stay at HIE often. After reading some of the negative reviews we were hesitant to stay here. However it was late and this was the best option considering the other hotels in the area. We took our chances and stayed for the night. We were pleasantly surprised by the stay! It was very clean on the inside and the staff was friendly. We did not have any expectations. We need a room to stay for the night, and it was located right next to the interstate. Perfect, and the price was good. The people were very friendly and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was above average, and did I mention the price was good. We would be back, if we are in the area again.
