This hotel has some very pretty grounds. It's far enough away from the freeway that there's no road noise, so it's quiet, peaceful, Has a hot tub along with the pool. It's in the process of remodeling... we got an older room Which is fine with us. As the previous design was a bit warmer and more homey than what they are tending to do when they update a room (remove the closets and paint everything gray) It was nice. Comfortable, king size bed, comfortable couches, large TVs in both rooms. Pleasant View, Friendly staff. Has a bar in the front. Snack vending area Business Center Pretty much anything you need. Traveling across country and staying at several hotels across multiple brands. This hotel was by far the nicest we seen in 10 states. It must be fairly new because it is beautiful, decorated very nice, smells like a new place. The staff was pleasant to deal with as well. My only negative critique is the breakfast cook was using bare hands to handle food, that's a no bueno. I paid for the meal I ordered but did not eat what was touched. The staff and service have been amazing both times that I visited from San Diego California, once in 2023 when I came with my dad to visit family and this past weekend when I came for my dad's funeral. I wanted to specifically shout out the stellar care that came from Brandon in Maintenance when our vehicle wouldn't start the next morning when we were about to make the drive back to Dallas prior to my flight back out. Brandon swiftly jumped out car. When my family attempted to provide a tip, Brandon would absolutely have none of that. I just wanted to commend Brandon for his friendliness and empathy that day, which was very much needed with the tough time my family was already having. Thank you Brandon. This Hilton was very clean, friends staff and welcoming. We did show up On a Friday so the bar was busy, they close at 10pm. The Bartender were friendly and informative on the area, it is a dry county so you'll need to being your own alcohol outside of the bar. Once in the room all was clean bothing leftover from the previous patrons. We did visit the pool and it was raining outside, no lightning and staff got us towels. We were later told by maintenance per management we had to get out, he was nice about it. We compiled without incident and there were no signs up stating we couldn't go. I feel this could had been addressed by front desk staff or management themselves, not necessarily the maintenance man. Overall experience was great, just wished the bar stayed open later. read more

We are Hilton Diamond members and stay in a Hilton property more than 95% of the time and this is by far one of my favorites. I stay here every year on my annual trip to visit my sister and the rooms are always clean and fresh, as well as the lobby. The snack store is always well stocked and the cooking and serving staff in the restaurant are beyond compare. There has also never been any kind of room or reservation mishap. This has been quite the travel year for me, that being said I like to review hotels to let folks know about my pet peeve. Not being able to have the fan on constantly as ambient noise. So, this hotel let's you control your fan. So already a huge fan of it. Pun unintentional. So the hotel now, not in the best location. Not near a bunch of restaurants, and not hard to get to but also not easy. Parking lot is huge and very well lit. The hotel is nice and clean inside. Staff was super friendly, check-in was nice and easy. The hallways were super well lit and clean. Whomever is cleaning this hotel is doing a wonderful job. My room when you walked in smelled awesome. Whatever fragrance they use was pleasant. TV was nice. It was a standard room, bed wasn't super plush but I slept fine. Why? Because ambient noise! This hotel is great. Had what appeared to be a decent gym with precor equipment. But worked out at anytime fitness. I will try my best to stay here again when I'm in town. Great little place. read more

My husband, myself & our dog Harley stayed the night on Saturday 08/17/24 at this Hilton Garden Inn in Texarkana. We currently live in Kyle Texas and went to visit Franklin Tennessee & we were on our way back home to Kyle Texas. We arrived late around 10pm & just wanted to go to sleep after driving all day. This hotel was beautiful, clean, pet friendly & looked like a Vegas hotel, which is nice because we moved from So California a year ago to Texas & it reminded us of home in Cali. The gal at the front desk that I checked in with was super friendly. Our room was super nice. We usually stay at Hampton Inn's so when my husband went down to get some breakfast, he was told that he would have to sit down & order which we have never done at Hampton Inn's so that wasn't good. At the price point for staying at Hilton Garden Inn breakfast should be part of the room price not separate. Some kind of breakfast should of been free. So that was very disappointing. I stayed here for my daughters college soccer game. The room is clean hotel is nice but beware there is not a continental breakfast. Two eggs undercooked three pieces of bacon burnt to a crisp will cost you $10. After you sit down to eat it they will hand you a bill. Very high priced breakfast food. It is really some of the worst I've ever had if I had a grade eggs and bacon. So come and stay for the room but do not get the breakfast don't even bother going over there. read more

The staff not only made sure my stay was excellent, they also took the time to tell me about the area. The room was very clean and the doors are sealed once they have been Sanitized. The rooms also have a real AC unit and not a under the window unit. They even still serve breakfast for 0600 to 1000. They enforce masks and social distance. How many ways can I say, "Thanks You!" We were passing through Texarkana on our way home from a fun trip. Well, my wife got bogged down on her computer with some work she needed to do. We stayed in our room until the last minute. Then we moved to the lobby so my wife had a comfortable place to work and take a couple calls. Website is misleading/inaccurate. The website and Hilton app state that the hotel is pet friendly. I booked the hotel and after a long day of traveling with a small child and small dog I was greeted with the news that the hotel does not allow pets. I stated the website says it does and this is when it was explained that the hotel is supposedly "getting ready" to have pet friendly rooms but does not allow pets just yet. It's very misleading and inconvenient - especially after long hours of traveling. I had completed the digital check-in thankfully I'm an honest customer and decided to stop at the front desk to check in my pet before heading to my room, despite already having access through the digital key. read more

This is especially for Shonda. My husband, my corgi and I had a great stay here. It was our last night of vacation before getting home to Dallas. Once home I realized I left my pillow at the hotel. I called and got a young man and honestly he didn't seem too interested in my problem but he took my info. Next day I called and got Shonda. She confirmed they had my pillow! Great, I planned to go pick it up - I have friends in Texarkana - I can make a lunch visit. I ended up not able to go. I called again and got Shonda again. I asked her if shipping it to me was an option. She said sure! She took all of my info and said someone from a shipping place would call me about the charge. The next day a Texarkana business called me and said they had my pillow boxed and ready to ship. I gave him my cc info and I promptly got my pillow back. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant. The room was great except for the shower having absolutely no pressure. However, I went this morning to eat breakfast and sat for an hour waiting for my food. I asked another waitress about the status of my order and she asked my waitress about it. I saw them speaking and no one ever came back to me to let me know what was going on. I waited another 10 minutes then walked out. I'm a diabetic and I had wasted an hour waiting to eat breakfast. The least they could've done was come to my table and let me know what was going on and how much longer it would be but didn't even do that. I won't stay there again read more

They say you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Well..... hotel seemed nice at arrival. It was my first time to stay here. Room seemed to be clean and orderly. However, my TV didn't work and there was no remote control. Also, the bathroom sink plunger was defective. I had to hold down the plunger stem to drain the water otherwise the sink would fill up. Very nice, new hotel. It's in the middle of chain America which is not my preference. It's attached to the Texarkana convention center which is probably convenient for the business clientele. The staff are very nice. There's a medium sized pool attached to the hotel. It's also very close to a golf driving range. The breakfast costs extra, but it does go until 11am which is quite late! The breakfast is a little awkward because you pay for the buffet but have to order some buffet items (like eggs) from the waiter. They also say they have Starbucks, but they didn't have the items to make my drink nor know how. Checkout is at noon which was nice to sleep in. Oh! There's also a bar which stayed open until like 1am to accommodate a wedding party. Good place :) read more

Be careful if you travel through Texarkana and want to stay here with pets. Their website and the HiltonHonors app posting for this property are misleading regarding pet fees. We were charged more (yes, more) than our room fees in pet fees. The app and website did not specify $65 a night per pet (?), nor were we informed at check-in. We would not have stayed there on our trip - our Honors room rate was a pleasing $109. When we called with confusion, the front desk told us the manager left them without decision-making ability. We called the manager the next day, and Jessica repeatedly "apologized" but insisted on charging us the pet fee twice for two pets. Instead of acknowledging the misinformation, she preferred we make a HiltonHonors complaint. We followed her suggestion. Unnecessary and unfortunate. Order came with pigeon wings and two of the wings were broken. This grosses me out. Blue cheese dressing was so watered down it didn't even taste like blue cheese. New hotel next to the Convention Center and across from the Mall. It has sort of a mod garden theme with some interesting decor choices. I just stayed over a weekend in a suite. Overall it was acceptable, but not outstanding. Pros - Roomy, comfortable setup in good, clean condition; Fairly comfortable bed (pillows too soft for my taste), Decent but not spectacular water pressure, Bath & Body Works and Neutrogena toiletries are tolerable; Many easy to reach plugs and lights available, Two huge flatscreen TVs in room; Room service was delicious, generous portions, and reasonably priced. Cons - Fridge made a horribly loud rattle after I was in the room a couple of hours, had to turn off; thermostat seemed way off - I could swear it was saying it was at least 5 degrees hotter than it really was and it was not kicking out heat very well at all, never could get the room warm enough; Soundproofing was significantly better overall than at the Candlewood next door, but I did hear some kind of fairly loud nonstop hum (maybe from the heating system both inside and outside?), and either housekeeping, construction, or guests were making a lot of occasional hella loud knocking or hammering sounds that came through the walls throughout Sunday morning (just the morning, from about 8 to noon?) when I was trying to sleep in a little, though otherwise it was quiet. I would have liked a way to close off the bedroom from the rest of the room. read more

I drove 10 hours that day and just wanted a clean, safe room where I could relax and watch some TV. The room itself was very nice. But the TV didn't work. It took two visits from the tech guy to get it working. He had to reset it. I asked if I turned it off and back on later, would it work or would he have to return. He said it would work. The room was freezing, and it required another tech visit to finally get the room warmed up. It also required a phone call to access Wi-Fi, which is never a problem for me in hotels. In the morning the TV didn't work again. Unfortunately I ran out of Kleenex and couldn't find more. read more

This was a great stay. A bit expensive for the area but worth it. It was so quite in my room. I could hear my inner inner thoughts. My bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The elevator though needs some ac and an air freshener. Continental isn't free or hot breakfast. The morning breakfast staff are resort style friendly. We recently spent one night here during a roadtrip. Certainly would not have minded spending more time but we had a schedule to keep. This HGI is attached to a 'convention center'. Not something large like in a major city but it is an area with several large meeting and banquet type rooms and an area geared toward weddings. Because of this the lobby is both a bit larger and a bit nicer than the average HGI. We had a few drinks at the bar and there were actually two bartenders working (unusual for HGI) so the service was great. Both were very personable and knowledgeable and were giving time with all the patrons (even a couple who you might say were "unique"). Breakfast was very good with good service. Our eggs (two different omelets) were very well cooked. Again a pleasant atmosphere to start the day. We selected a room on the 6th floor. It was a King suite with an impressive amount of space and ample seating. One thing I *loved* was there were some recessed lights you could turn on in the sitting area that were nicely bright (unlike the low output found most places). The bed was comfortable and the fridge worked well. It was a quiet spot with no complaints. One of the better HGI visits we've had. I see a lot of 4 star yet glowing reviews, not sure what the deductions are for. I'm giving it 5 as we had no complaints at all. It's not the Ritz but for it's class and the price we thought it excellent. read more

It must have had a recent renovation, because everything was clean, fresh looking, and in excellent repair. Our rooms were quiet and comfortable, and the folks at the reception desk were efficient and friendly both at checkin and departure. Breakfast was good and served in a very pleasant atmosphere. Altogether, it was a very pleasant stay. We periodically pass through Texarkana and we will definitely choose this Hilton Garden Inn next time we need to make an en route stop there. read more

This is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in on business. I haven't stayed anywhere else in Texarkana, but I'd venture to say this is probably the nicest one. The hotel is new, modern, and clean. There is a full bar and restaurant, a market, gym, pool, and convention center. There are just a few things keeping me from giving it 5 stars. When I checked in, the front desk couldn't find my reservation that was booked through a corporate account/credit card. We booked two rooms and my colleague had already arrived taking the first room. The front desk associate told me there was only one room and he hasn't checked in it. Turns out, he had checked in hours before and the one available room was my room. I lost my jr. Suite as no others were available and had to put another room on my personal credit card. The manager sorted it out the next day and acknowledged the receptionist should have been able to tell what was going on. The only other bummer was that there are only two treadmills and one was broken. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone in the Texarkana area. read more

New HGI attached to the Texarkana Convention Center. Pros: large rooms, decent sized gym, spacious lobby and bar area, great location near restaurants and shopping. Cons: hard to find via GPS (I only found it because I saw it as I was driving on the other side of the highway - you'll have better luck if you put the convention center in as your destination). There was also one front desk employee that was kinda weird - he was too stressed out/lazy to make breakfast coupons for me all week when I checked in, which annoyed the hell out of the breakfast servers (me too). I would definitely avoid him if I had to stay here again. read more
