The owners were very helpful and friendly 5 stars for them I'm giving it 2 stars because the Hwy is right by them and the noise is not cool at all. If that kind of stuff keeps you from sleeping then go somewhere else. I was also disappointed in the playground equipment for the kiddos. 1 very sad swing and slide‍‍ Update it!!! However, in the summer there is a pool I really dislike that there were no fire pits or picnic tables at the sites WTF‍‍‍ Apparently this is an RV PARK for RVer's with no kids and people who RV only to park and sit in the damn thing the whole time. Absolutely nothing for the kids in winter time. They have gravel on the ground... love that Also the entrance road is horrible... potholes from hell. Hint* Rent a road grater and get rid of them

    Plenty of room.

Great location off the interstate. Our truck pulling our LQ horse trailer with 2 horses and 2 dogs broke down at the neighboring Flying J. We had a time getting our rig towed from the fuel pumps. Our insurance towed our truck to the shop and two local guys towed our trailer to the RV park. Luckily, the lady at the front desk allowed us to stay at a site with grass behind our rig to fence in with an electric line for our horses. Wifi works great and laundry on site was very clean, affordable and open 24/7. The only downfall is the noise from the interstate, but only noticeable when our AC shut off in our trailer.

As a loyal customer of the KOA brand, I am writing to formally report a series of severe safety,…read moresanitation, and management failures during my recent stay. This location is currently operating in a manner that severely damages the KOA reputation and, more importantly, poses a direct threat to guest safety. 1. Employee Misconduct & Guest Safety Violations (Critical) The most alarming issue was the behavior of a female groundskeeper who lived in the site directly adjacent to mine. On multiple occasions, this employee returned to the campground visibly intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances (exhibiting erratic behavior, "tweaking," talking to herself, and pacing). Having an employee in this state managing the grounds and living next to guests created a hostile and entirely unsafe environment. My group did not feel secure sleeping at this location. 2. Severe Sanitation & Health Hazards The Pool: The pool had reportedly just reopened on Tuesday due to prior sanitation issues, but by Wednesday, it had turned completely green again. Operating a public pool with stagnant, contaminated water is a massive health code violation. Grounds Maintenance: The grass at our site was knee-high upon arrival and went unmowed for days. This is not just an aesthetic issue; it is a breeding ground for ticks, snakes, and pests, posing a health risk to guests and pets. 3. Gross Mismanagement of Group Reservations We arrived with a coordinated group of approximately 8 campers. Despite booking together, our party was completely separated. We were placed at the very back of the campground surrounded by long-term residents, entirely defeating the purpose of a group KOA booking. Conclusion: I do not scare easily, but when paying guests are subjected to unsafe conditions caused directly by KOA staff, it crosses a line from "poor service" to "corporate liability." I expect a prompt response regarding how corporate intends to address these employee substance abuse issues and safety hazards

The posted office hours are more of a guessing game. Guess if they're actually open or not. At one point, the park manager opened one of my personal packages. The grass is overgrown. I constantly had to fight an ant problem as well as the fleas in the overgrown grass. The pool stayed green more than it was open this year. There are feral cats everywhere that will tear up your RV. People wander in off the highway and where there used to be guys on staff for safety and security - the manager lives off site and those guys are no longer on staff. It got so bad my kids didn't feel safe allowing the grandkids to visit.

Ours came with a grill, smoker, and fire pit, which made cooking stupid easy. The bathrooms were super clean, and the owners couldn't be friendlier--seriously, they make the place feel like home. If you need firewood, swing by site 27 and grab some from the owner there if he's got stock. We left our kayaks by the launch with zero issues, which was a huge plus. The campsites themselves are big, spacious, and peaceful. There is a train that rolls through twice a night, but aside from that it's quiet and relaxing. Overall, we loved it and would absolutely come back.

Located on the Big Cypress Bayou, the scenery is gorgeous. Two years ago, we stayed in the Couple's Cabin. It has great upper and lower decks. This time, with Reesa and Ricky, we stayed in the Texas 2 Step. Dual connecting cabins. Loved it. There's also about 30 or 40 RV spots. There's a private boat ramp. Riverbend Outfitters keeps kayaks here for rent. We've gone kayaking twice. It's fun, relaxing, and beautiful. The owners are very friendly and attempt to solve any problem you might have. The cabins are big and comfortable. They have satellite tv and WiFi. A full kitchen makes mealtime easy. Be warned, cell service here is terrible. You are out in the middle of nowhere! We have absolutely loved our stays here, and will definitely return. Check their website!

Floors and showers have not been cleaned in weeks and there is probably half an inch of dead bugs on the outside patio. Your feet crunch all the way in. Plus the outside doors do not lock and the bathroom and shower stall doors can't be locked either. Also, eliminating some of the signs at the entrance would afford a more welcoming atmosphere for campers. It's like a slap in the face when you drive in! Great fishing, lots of room, trails, beach, boat launches but hardly anyone here . This place could be a great campground and a really moneymaker if someone with experience would pay attention to some of these details and make some pretty simple changes.
