What a deal! Could not ask for a nicer, cleaner, friendlier stay. I would love to stay here again! We had a blowout on our trailer so we had to unhitch and find a place overnight. The place was very clean and spacious but the staff went above and beyond to help us get back on the road. They found us an excellent tire shop and called around for good recommendation before they would send us to not just anywhere. The place was sooooo reasonable that we bought new instead of used. Clean and the staff pleasant but If you would like some sleep do not go to this hotel. Very noisy, lots of loud banging, people talking loudly and upstairs neighbors very noisy. Doors slam loud enough to startle. read more

The building and room seems pretty clean and modern. We always make it a point to check under the matresses for any telltale signs of bugs or uncleanness. Definitely a better stay than other roadside hotels. It's a little off the beaten path for I-95 travelers but worth it I think for a more comfortable stay. Room walls like many other hotels are a little thin so you'll be able to hear your neighbors conversations. Complimentary hot breakfast was standard fare. read more

The room itself was very spacious and modern looking, also very clean. I thought it was quite beautiful to be a hotel room. I enjoyed my stay here at this location. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. I loved the artwork the pottery in the foyer, especially the paintings by the renowned Gene Lockler. Aside from check out taking entirely too long, I enjoyed my time in the middle of nowhere. Upon arriving, my friend said "Who looked at this spot and said, 'you know what we need here? A hotel!" If you travel with pets up and down I-95, this place is great. very pet friendly and the surrounding area is nice for those occasional walks. In addition, they only charge $10 for the pet fee. It's about 10 miles off of I-95, but worth the short detour to us to have our dogs be comfortable and easy for us to walk them. The only downside is that the nearby restaurants aren't that good (at least we haven't found one yet). This last trip, we saw that there was a good line at Bill's BBQ (it's more of a drive-through pickup rather than sit down restaurant) on a Thursday night, so maybe we will try them next time through. You can also get Pizza Hut to deliver to your room, which we did one trip and it was fine if you don't feel like going back out. The other option is to stop at a restaurant around Lumberton, before going to Pembroke. The Holiday Inn Express breakfast bar is fine, with some hot foods. Pembroke is a small college town, with UNC-Pembroke close to the hotel. read more

Rolled up to this one with a reservation. Thankfully they were able to accommodate me on such short notice. The room was comfortable and clean. Really relaxing. The only negative thing was that I fell in the shower on my tail-bone and bashed my elbow. There was no slip resistant mat or adhesive stickers. read more

This is a beautiful, new hotel. The front desk staff are very nice. Beds sleep great and are comfortable. You even have plenty of pillows with choice of soft or firm that is written on pillow case. Very nicely decorated, clean, refrigerator and microwave in the room. Beautiful, well lit bathroom. Breakfast choices are great. Eggs, link or patty sausage, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, cereal, yogurt, variety of breads and muffins, pancakes, fruit. Good coffee and juice machine. Really enjoyed my stay. Wish it was not so far from interstate though. Nice swimming pool, fitness center, and business center. read more

Not sure how new this hotel is, as it seems it's fairly new. It has great potential, it's either new or newly remodeled. On the down side, there were urine stains left on the toilet seat, which I imagine should have been cleaned by the staff. Also, the electronic thermostat was completely not working at all, as the weather was warming up and we needed to cool the room a little bit. Oddly too, the toilet seat was unusually small for the newer toilet. The front desk person did acknowledge that I was a Platinum member, which is fine. The hotel is about 15-20 away from I-95 if your seeking hotels off of of the highway. As stated above, the hotel has great potential if a few of the fixable things can be remedied. read more

Wonderful experience. Driving home from Venice, FL to Fredericksburg, VA we had been on the road 15 hours and couldn't find a hotel room along 95. We found this one and were met by a warm welcome and big smile at 1:30 am by front seat clerk. Totally recommend staying here. read more

Terrible. Check in took about fifteen minutes. Room was filthy--even an old candy wrapper on the floor. And the pool out back was poorly lit and not restricted to guests. We were looking forward to a swim when we arrived at 730 PM after a long drive but found a party going on with apparently mostly locals. People were making out poolside (not very family friendly) with a case of beer on the table next to them. The old band aid floating in the pool was icing on the cake. read more
