The room are spacious and very clean and smells fresh and good. The breakfast is awesome accommodating and go out of their way to meet your needs. This hotel was very generous with its room size, close proximity to the interstate and local restaurants and shopping. Very quiet and fairly clean. Some minor construction work was happening on the upper floors but otherwise quiet. I don't like to compliment or criticize without offering a solution because nothing is ever going to be perfect!! 1. Again proximity to business and interstate is great!! 2. Price was more than I expected but when you need a room and everything else is booked or too expensive you will find something that you can handle i paid 158.96. 3. No free breakfast included with that price at Holiday Inn. Holiday Inn express includes a free breakfast though. Suggest that they offer a free breakfast, it's that simple. Currently breakfast is 8.00 per person for a small buffet style. 4. Good thing I wasn't paying for a view...can't fix that. 5. Great water pressure, immediately got hot water, shower knob leaked. Fix it. 6. Ice machine on my floor broken, had to go to 4th floor for ice. Call maintenance, fix it. 7. Vending machines take credit cards and proper change, no bills. 8. Avoid. We've stayed here before but this will be our last. I'll start with, the beds were comfy and the room and eating areas were clean. The bartender was great! However....dinner was good but a flatbread/pizza the size of your hand is $15. Breakfast buffet is $15 per person (or $8 if you add it at reservation) but it was NOT edible. My husband spent 28 years in the military and eats some sketchy things. But we both left full plates of dry potatoes, eggs, and sausage that were just not edible. My teenage son even turned down food and he can put down some breakfast! Bland is one thing, and hotel eggs are always iffy, but the food was so dry that the sausage might have been beef jerky and the potatoes (2 types) weren't edible either. Both were dry-think emergency food that they forgot to reconstitute. The bottom floor has multiple leaks and the ceiling has holes. I counted no less than 6 buckets collecting water in the hall and conference room areas. The staff was nice but this hotel is just falling apart around them and they cant even drown their sorrows in good coffee. read more

Requested towels and toilet paper be brought to our room and was told we had to come down and get them ourselves. Now that sounds lazy but when you pay $125 a night to stay somewhere you would expect hotel service to be provided and it was not. read more

New hotel with updated decor and huge rooms. Hotel staff very friendly. I could hear the room next door partying. My main complaint his the restaurant. We were tired from traveling so we ordered in our room. The actual taste of the food was good but there were multiple problems getting our 2 orders correct. There were several trips back to get it correct. We had a coupon for breakfast so we ate in the dinning room. Again actual food tastedd good but our simple orders were all wrong, even corrections were wrong. Staff all seemed to be on their first day. Average hotel , nothing special here. The front desk staff was outstanding. They are in need of updating, which they are working on currently. Stay above the second floor or you might be looking out a dirty roof. If you smoke DO NOT stay here. I was charged $200 for smoking in the room, which i did not do. The "proof" is included in the photo they sent me when i disputed this charge. Just an FYI I am intending on going to court to fight this charge. We have had a difficult time finding clean hotels in this area; however, I was pleased with this place. It was clean. The sheets were changed and clean, the bathroom was clean, and it was not outdated like many hotels in this area are. They have a nice buffet breakfast, and coffee and tea available 24/7. The pool and gym area were also well kept. It's all about cleanliness for me. This place was okay in my book. read more

Stayed at this location just a couple of days ago, hotel was clean and very nice, however, the staff was horrendous. They tried to charge us a second time for the room after we had prepaid online. The next morning we tried to order room service for breakfast, we called about a dozen times with no answer. We had to walk down and order it in person. We had our little kids getting ready and the room service made more sense. When it did come they forgot several items. I had to go back down and tell them, because they don't answer the phone. Stayed overnight during a recent road trip. Typical Holiday Inn- complimentary parking, Wifi. Room was a good size, enough outlets for my electronics, and with several pleasant surprises- recliner chair, microwave oven, & mini-refrigerator. Because I was returning from a business trip, when I checked in I asked the front desk clerk to split my bill between my business and personal credit card. He gave me a blank look (not a good sign) and said he was working there for only three weeks. He then phoned a friend who showed him what to do (huzzah!). He asked for the dollar split between the cards and I told him. To my surprise when I got the invoice the next day the amounts were totally off by more than $30! When checking out I asked the second front desk clerk if she could reallocate the amounts to what I asked for. She gave me a blank look (oh boy!) too. Figuring at this point it was a lost cause I left and filed my travel claim with the lower amounts. So I ended up eating $30+ on this trip. Oh well it could be worse. I would look for another IHG property and only book here again as a last resort. read more

Typical holiday inn. Rooms were clean and bright. They have a restaurant inside which offers breakfast and dinner to guests. The lobby has a hip vibe, jazzy new age music fills the area and low level mood lighting. Staff was kind and courteous. Two annoying things are: their tiny pool can only be used for submerging - swimming is near impossible. Gym equipment is half broken - The treadmills operate but have so much wear on them they seem to have been salvaged from a junkyard! The multi station weight machine was completely broken.. I need to rest my weary eyezzz. We stopped here the night Cincinnati set a record snow fall. As far as Holiday Inn's go this is a typical one. Small hotel lobby, nothing fancy. Friendly welcoming reception as you walk in to the lobby. Fast and easy check in. The rooms were actually nicer than I thought they would be with a chair and lamp to relax by. The only thing missing would have been a fireplace(not in H.I.) for such a snowy night. I would definitely stay here again whether it was snowing or not. My husband and I will NOT give but one star to this Holiday Inn ever!! We booked our reservation on the 800 number. We booked the weekend of the 16th to the 18th of July. We asked for a Handicap room and DID NOT get one. One handle by the bathroom door is not a Handicap room. Our stay was the worst ever, we ever had in a Holiday Inn!!!! For the lounge and dining room was a joke!! The dining staff came in when they felt like it!! If we wanted to eat, we had to go out to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Manager cooks my steak and medium rare was not in his playbook. I have posted pictures of the rib eye special .. Especially bad .. My cheese cake was contaminated by the lid that covered it .again pictures posted .. Ok for the price, place is good .. Bar and staff are great .. Just don't eat there . I'm not sure if Tom F (below) has the right hotel.. the lobby was huge which led right into the bar/restaurant. I agree that they should consider offering at least a basic breakfast as part of the room fee. Unfortunately, we had the fire alarm go off at 3:30 am and were evacuated for apparently no reason as we all just went right back up into our rooms?..?... Terrible Kitchen staff. Very Rude, slow, arguing among coworkers, the wait staff took 45 minutes to get coffee to our table. Mirrors are NOT all one way. Shower floor was not safe to stand on and coffee in the lobby had hair in the water of the Keurig. Do not stay here. read more

We got this hotel by pure luck thanks to a nice aunt that didn't want us driving home two hours right after her son's wedding. We showed up at the hotel right as the shift changed but people were still super helpful and nice. The price was bout $121 with taxes that day which isn't too shabby for a king room. The weirdest part was that the entrance was a back door when you come off the expressway and the front was on the other side so we were a tad confused for a sec. Luckily we quickly checked in and they even upgraded our rooms free of charge cause the rooms we had were still airing out and they wanted to make sure we were comfortable. Our room was on the corner of the 4th floor and very spacious with a super comfy bed and big tv. It was so nice to just relax after all the driving. The only weird thing was that breakfast was a $9.99 buffet but oh well. read more

This hotel opened in October of 2009 and still was sparkling new. The rooms and beds are comfortable and if you're into TV, you'll like the picture. The hotel didn't seem busy on Thursday night and especially slow on Friday night. The one server in the breakfast area could hardly keep up as he had to wait the tables, serve the tables and bus the tables. The breakfast area looked a mess when I first arrived. I had some oatmeal but they were out of milk. Unless you're getting a free breakfast in the Holiday Inn, I would take a short trip and look elsewhere for breakfast. This hotel seems like a dilapidated place that spruced up the lobby and put clean towels in the bathroom. I got a smoking room and didn't ask for it. The room and the hallway reek of cigarette. Super nice and affordable with military discount! Staff is courteous and rooms were well appointed (Bath and Body Works products even). Parking was very well lit and carts for your luggage. I was so impressed with price, amenities, staff, etc that I signed up for IHG Rewards program especially because I travel frequently and now prefer to stay at this family of hotels. I definitely feel I got more than what I paid for. Only thing that would make perfect stay would be Complimentary breakfast! :)) read more

Well, my wife and I spent a whirlwind trip to Kentucky looking for property, other than 2 nights of our 10 day trip, it was at Holiday inn express hotels, and for the most part, they were clean, modern and very comfortable, then we stayed here..... now just know, the staff was super nice and professional So this is about the room, which was in a huge need of an update, the first thing my wife noticed was a hint if a musty smell, as I am not too sensible with smells I put it off the it just raining and the humidity until I noticed shower had small mold in cracks and the shower pan was cracked which can allow water to get underneath and start mold, there had been an attempt to repair the pan with glue or some bonding agent but it was half assed, the decor and furniture were remnants of a late 80's disco and the lights were so dim and dingy I thought I had stopped at murder hotel in some back way county and not a 1st rate hotel, it needs a huge remodel read more

Not impressed at all. Staff at the front desk ignores most customers as they walk through the lobby. I stood two feet in front of the counter for 30 seconds before the gentlemen working even looked at me. He then told me he would add my rewards detail to my stay, which he did not. In the morning there were three ladies working the front desk area, and they were complaining about other coworkers and were not going out of their way to be friendly or even talk to anyone. Very Disappointed. I booked over a week early. Room with two queen size beds. Upon arrival after a long day's journey I was informed they were overbooked. They could only offer one king size and a roll away twin size bed. All other hotels were booked solid. The woman "Wendy" apologized and reduced the price and provided free breakfast. She was great! We were in town for a trip to the Zoo, Aquarium and a Reds Game. Got there and parking lot was nearly empty. Immediately got nervous. "Did we miss the memo that this place is bad news?" But as we walk in the lobby is open and clean. Restaurant looks nice (didn't get to eat due to schedule). Saw they had a fitness center and pool as well. Staff was a little befuddled during checkin; seems they may have a new computer system but got it done. We're friendly and offered their suggestions when we asked where to go for dinner. We head up to our room and we were a little pensive after out last experience with a Holliday Inn (non express or suites) in Philly. The room was spot on. All of the furnishings appeared new. Bathroom was spotless. Shower was excellent. We chose a room with shower only as for us it is easier. Only negative to the room and it is personal and nothing wrong per say is the stand for the TV. It felt rather large and bulky. Many empty shelves/cubbies in it and in turn the TV was very elevated. Like I said very minuscule. TV was nice and had an exceptional lineup from DirectTV. Hotel is located in a prime area to be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown but near enough to major shopping and food if you aren't there for Cincy. But still close enough to get to Cincy or Newport quickly and easily. Will definitely stay again. read more
