My parents are in their 70's and live 3 hrs away, so when they had to drive into Salem for an event we got them a room so they didn't have to drive home tired. The manager was so helpful and very friendly. My parents loved the room and said they both slept great. I will be getting them a room here again the next time they have to come this way. read more

Unfortunately this property is the only game in town if one wants a hotel that is actually in Silverton. Some competition would help. This property does not offer a breakfast option in spite of having a restaurant on premises. All of the rooms are different. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with that but the room I had this time seemed like just a bunch of mismatched and marginally useful furniture pieces. For example, there was no desk. The TV service is not good at all as it contains mostly uninteresting subscription feeds and nothing that one might expect like some local or national news. The cost of a night's stay has goon up a lot. That is true everywhere. But from my perspective, there is a lot of room for relatively straight forward improvement. Maybe next time I will stay farther away and have better service and room quality. read more

My family stayed at the Silverton Inn last weekend. I know it's under new management but. They need to step up and set up more information on the rooms as people check in . No information was given to them. Although the room was clean. The kitchenette was poorly equipped and you had to phone someone to get any answers! Clean, but no where near as cute as in the photos. Popcorn ceilings, mismatched decor, patio tile for the floors. Somehow the photos online looked very cute like a B&B. Enjoyed our stay, room and beds super comfortable! Pet friendly and all staff friendly and welcoming. We had an issue with the bathroom and they responded quickly. There is a restaurant on site but also so many places within walking distance. It takes you off I-5 so be prepared to see farmlands until you arrive. Able to go to Silver Falls State Park for hiking and to the Oregon Garden! We had a room with a full kitchen and everything provided, pots, dishes, utensils. We even did laundry a block away. I won a gift certificate for a two night stay in a guest suite from a Silverton elementary school auction. Called to make a reservation about two weeks before we planned to use it. I was told they would "hold" it for me but could not make a reservation since it was a gift certificate. I just needed to bring the certificate in when we checked in. Great, sounds good! The day we planned to check in I got a phone call saying I needed to give him the gift certificate number. I gave it to him and then he told me the gift certificate number didn't exist and could I send him a picture of the certificate. After sending it to him he called me back and said they couldn't honor it because this was issued from the previous owner who hasn't been there for five years. I said I just won it in an auction last spring and it doesn't expire until April 2024. He then put me on the phone with an off site manager who was extremely rude and accused me of trying to commit fraud!! Horrendous customer service. We went ahead and make a reservation at Oregon Garden Resort and salvaged our 22nd anniversary weekend getaway. I recommend anyone looking to avoid hassle and headache consider doing the same. Management here is zero stars. read more

One of, if not the only place to stay in the downtown business district. People are charming and very helpful. Lots of comfortable rooms so you can find something to match your requirements. And it's great to be in the middle of the very walkable and interesting old valley town. It's filled with shops, restaurants including a few with a bar scene. We like this place and really enjoy being able to be right in the heart of what is becoming a modest regional attraction. The only drawback is a limited amount of parking - workable but not ideal. But a good place; if you are traveling being able to chill in your room at the end of your day and take a walk, indulge in a bit of shopping, have a drink by silver creek and a have a ample selection for a meal certainly does it for us. read more

I stayed here two years ago, and I remember it being much nicer. The cost for one night there was double what it should be for what it is. The location is great if you want to visit the Oregon gardens and visit gardens in Salem. The outside of the Inn is quaint with beautiful flowers. You have to call the owner to get checked in or for any service. The room was dirty... unfortunately, there was a large dead cockroach in the bathroom. The shades were filthy and behind the bed was dirty. There is a large table in the suite with three queen beds, it looks like they picked it up at a garage sale and there was a huge chunk out of the top of the table where it had been damaged. Very tacky for over $500 for one night. There should have been fresh flowers in the room. They were very stingy with the towels, and the towels were of mediocre quality. For $511.00 dollars a night you should be spoiled with unlimited luxurious towels. The room should have been immaculate, and the furniture needs to be updated. The owner is very nice. However, we will not be staying here again. read more

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're staying in the Silverton area. I booked this place because we were planning on hiking Silver Falls for 2 days. This hotel provided everything we needed. However, the one complaint we had is that there was NO bathroom countertop space. For me and my Mom that was a bummer, which is why I docked 1 star on the review. Other than that, the A/C worked well, it had a small kitchen, big sink, a closet to hang clothes, a table for us to eat at, and a helpful Receptionist that brought us ice and more towels. :) read more

Been here many times and just gone down hill. Some guy hardly speaks English and is very rude and aggressive. Prices are jacked up now. Room was dirty smelt like old feet. Again been coming here for years and had great experiences.... but maybe they got new ownership?? Because this isn't the small family business I remember. Everyone use to be nice and friendly and I had multiple encounters, with that guy who I can't understand and I think he's the only one who works there and I just Don't recommend. Not friendly very uncomfortable, demanding.. maybe it's his culture I think he's Arabian but no one likes to get treated bad when they are paying 299 plus tax a night. Save your money. read more

Stayed here for one night. The room was spacious, very clean, very quiet, and has a nice bathroom with plenty of plush towels. The kitchenette came with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and thoughtful touches like a jar of organic coffee. But the best part was the king bed which was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on anywhere! Highly recommend this hotel for the price point! read more

Check in was smooth and the new manager was very kind. Unfortunately, the choice to eat at the on-site restaurant soured our experience. To start, we sat ourselves prompted by the "please seat yourself" sign. The hostess failed to see we had arrived and after waiting some time we had to go tell her we were there. She quickly took our order and brought us water. Then we waited, and waited, and waited some more - our food took over an hour to arrive. In this time we had to ask three different times for water refills. While the hotel is nice, don't waste your time eating there. read more

We enjoyed our stay, in the heart of Silverton. The staff were courteous and helpful, and our room was well-stocked and clean. We had a delicious Brie, pear and turkey sandwich across the way, at Rustic Melt, one of the new food trucks. There was live music in the neighborhood and a lively night life. A very quaint cut space in a gorgeous little town. The exterior is very attractive, and the rooms has large grand beautiful wood furniture. I think all the rooms have at least a half kitchen, ours has a full. They just added a resteraunt with a full bar. A very reasonable choice as this town has limited rooms. read more

Very cute and homey hotel. Ultra clean room. Tiled floors (bring your slippers). Hotel has cozy little bar and offers breakfast. Fairly comfy but firm mattress, lots of nice pillows. Extra blanket in in room if needed. Antique stores across the street. Just over a mile from The Oregon Gardens. Friendly helpful front desk clerk. I would stay here again. Mr. Coffee K cup and real creamers and ceramic coffee mugs in room. Also micro and fridge. They also provide a few paper plates and utensils. Nice touch. The only thing I can complain about is the heater/AC unit. It's a bit loud. Would be nice if they could upgrade to quieter ones. read more

We have stayed here several times in the last several years, but not since it has been redone. I will say it is a great location - walking distance to restaurants and shops however we were very disappointed with this recent two night stay. When you walk in the room - the covered bridge room you think wow how nice- we were really disappointed- Bathrooms need towel racks or someplace for towels- floor was dirty and the bathtub is a real hazard- it is very slippery with no mat or bars to hold onto. I'm hoping the owners will take notice of this review and take care of these items. I will say we did have a good dinner in the restaurant. read more

Stayed at this motel in August for 2 nights. At bedtime, we pulled the bedding back to find that the fitted sheet was wrinkled, not tucked in, and had hair on the sheet. Nothing we could do about it at 11 pm as the front desk closes at 6 pm so we just brushed the hair onto the carpet. Gross. When I mentioned this to my daughter, who was staying with her family in another room, she said that the same situation occurred to one of the beds in her room. Is the motel trying to cut down on expenses by not changing sheets between guests or is this a result of lazy maids? IDK. The next issue arose when I was told on Monday that my SIL accidentally left his Iphone/watch chargers in the room when he checked out on Sunday. I called the front desk clerk who immediately went up to the room to see if they were still there (no one had checked in after SIL left). She said they weren't there so she sent out an email to staff asking if anyone had taken them. Appparently the maid admitted to taking them (I guess I should be grateful for that) and would return them to the motel. Front desk clerk said she would send them to my SIL. After waiting 9 days, they still had not been received in the mail so I went to the motel to ask about them. A different clerk was there and after explaining the situation, she finally texted the first clerk to ask about the chargers. The first clerk said she gave them to the motel owner and asked her to mail them. The owner apparently just put them in a desk drawer and there they sat until I went there in person. If the owner didn't want to go to the expense of mailing them, that's fine, but I should have been told that initially and I would have gone to pick them up sooner. In summary, dirty beds, sketchy maids and an irresponsible owner means I will never stay here again and will warn others of the same. read more

I do the fire alarm inspections on this place & happen to live 1/4 mile down the street. This place has super cozy and beautiful rooms, VERY clean, an amazing Restaurant (310 Water) and a friendly staff. Not to mention that they have a great sprinkler & alarm system combo to keep its guests safe! read more

I had high expectations but was highly disappointed... by the manager none the less. I booked my room and when I went to cancel my room due to work reasons I got nothing but attitude. He then I'm a cold and snooty manner there was a 72 hr cancellation notice. I told him that I agree with him but there is generally some leeway with emergency personnel such as firefighters, police ect. He said sorry but it's policy. He said he isn't being any more harsh than "any other hotel in the world". I told him when I worked the sandy hurricane was the last time I cancelled a hotel and emergency personnel have to hop from one place to another quite often (btw I just got the power back up to the PDX airport) and typically managers are understanding. In the end my worked picked up the bill but the treatment and attitude I got from the general manager is why I'm writing this. read more

We had an absolutely amazing experience here. Our room was cute, clean and spacious and the managers were very helpful. The covered bridge room was great, 3 queens, kitchenette (full sized fridge, oven, table), provided plenty of shampoo and conditioner! Located in downtown Silverton and is a short walking distance to multiple restaurants. What made our stay extra special was the couple that managed the hotel. They were extremely helpful in all regards, nice and professional. After the couple learned that we would not be able to make it to the free breakfast in the morning (we left at 5:45 every morning for a local horse show) they brought us a pile of bagels, strawberries, butter, bream cheese and jam that evening so we could still enjoy their breakfast! read more

We stayed here 2 niights for our son's wedding. My extended family also stayed and well as the bride's family. The Inn is delightful - every room different - many with kitchens or kitchenettes. I stayed here for a few nights, and I would definitely stay here again. The managing staff were so helpful and friendly, with good recommendations on places to eat and information about the town. The weather was cold and icy/snowy while I was there and I asked to borrow an ice scraper because my rental did not have one. The manager went and got his, and before I could protest was already out there scraping my windows - so so nice! The room looked to be recently remodeled and was quite nice with a kitchenette that had both a fridge and microwave. Nice bed and good pillows though I wish there was a spare comforter for when the room was heating up. But once warm it was quite toasty and pleasant. Convenient in-wall ironing board, and there was lots of information about local places and activities. Also, the central location was very nice - just a couple of minutes walk to some delicious food options and a great one-screen movie theatre. The included breakfast was quite nice. I like the little dinning area that was comfortable to watch both the street traffic and some morning news on the television. Good, standard offerings; I stuck to my bagel, oatmeal, and tasty coffee but saw that they also had the availability of pancakes. read more

Cute place, nice location in the center of silverton. Room was inexpensive but on the flip side it was too close to the other rooms and so we could clearly hear other people talking. I'm so glad I found Silverton Inn. There's so much charm to Silverton, and Silverton Inn is located downtown, conveniently at the center of it all. Once you park, you can walk to an array of shops and restaurants, and there's a directory right outside of the hotel to tell you what's around. 3 Ten Water restaurant is also connected to the hotel. The inn itself is so charming--beautiful, simple decor that enhances the space and an extremely friendly and helpful staff. It's a great place to get away​ for the weekend, especially convenient if you live in Portland! read more

Delightful! Let me start by saying, I'm always anxious trying a new hotel, especially one that is not a "chain" brand, but this place totally won me over immediately. The very pleasant young man on the phone took my reservation efficiently and had us squared away with a pet friendly room pronto. When we met him later, after a long hike, he was very helpful and offered to take our luggage up to our room for us. First impression, walking into our room was CLEAN smell, good ventilation, spotless and charming. The place was beautiful, spacious and well-thought out. I wouldn't go for using a jacuzzi tub that is a tub shower combo though - just too...I don't know the word. Not my thing, but certainly sufficed for a shower. Beautiful furnishings, nice linens, gorgeous floors and tile in bath. A bit more shelf space might come in handy as the bath has a pedestal sink but, nonetheless, the spotlessness of the place put us right at home. There is also a nice restaurant there, but we were wanting to explore more of the town so we didn't get around to it. We will definitely stay again when in the area. Pet review: he loved it also! Nice thick area rugs in several places made the beautiful hardwood floors comfy. Across the quiet street was ample grassy walking area. No poo bags offered (we had our own) or anything in the way of treats but the $15 pet fee brought our room to $130 with tax and that's a deal for a double queen room of this quality. Maybe chain hotels could learn something from this place! read more

My husband and I were very disappointed with our room. The after market air conditioner that was in our room would kick off and on through out the night, and would constantly wake us up. The several electronic devices in the room emit a lot of light, which also made it hard for us to sleep. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, I spent the night on the floor. All in all, it was not worth $185. We will never stay there again. read more

We stayed here for the Oregon garden Xmas and first Friday in Silverton. First the good. Perfect location and a decent shower. Great little lounge and restaurant. Bad. Our rooms heater malfunctioned while we were out and the plug in was partially melted. Fire hazard. They accommodated us to a new room. The beds are not comfortable at all. The heaters are louder than an old 1980's dishwasher. Have to turn then off to sleep. This place is in need of a major renovation. Do not recommend especially for the price they want. not bad.... but just not great. very centrally located in the cute little town, you can walk to lots of shops and restaurants..... very nice staff. the lady who seemed to be running the place was very friendly. it looks very cute and its well kept up. When at check in on a friday we were brought to our room and told that the painters and crew (that were working JUST outside our door in both directions ) would be wrapping up and be done. well, they were for the night. BUT they were back on saturday morning and into the late afternoon. noisy, smelly paint. ugly to look at.. really (all the torn up construction stuff lying around) in the room; the bed looks nice and felt fine but.... creaked like crazy. awful. not really sufficient blankets and no spares or pillows either. the cheapest p.o.s. toilet seat made out of plastic that would not stay up on its own. outdated information about the towns going on and restaurants ( last summers brochures) no paper and pen no fridge couldn't find any ice machine, had to ask for some at front desk. but it was clean and not shoddy. the tv worked.... we had a little continental type breakfast in the morning. icky coffee, but fine for a continental style spread. .....the painters/crew were very noisy during the in room couples massages that we had signed up for. i will say the massage therapist was very nice and did a pretty good job despite there not really being any room for her to move around after she set up in our rather small room. and awful lighting and noisy noisy painters.... not really the hotels fault, but they could have told us about the construction before we made reservations for the weekend, ( they did not) and SHOULD have made them be quiet or leave for a guests massage.... to be fair, we did mention the noise on the way out, and were given a bottle of wine to take home because of it. ..... that's all. read more

Beware: Silverton Inn & Suites does not honor confirmed reservations On April 8, I received a confirmed reservation for the night of May 14 at the Silverton Inn & Suites in Silverton, Oregon. On May 4, I was told that unless I booked 2 nights, the confirmed reservation would not be honored. I will not pay for two nights when I only need one, and it is now too late to find other lodging in Silverton. I am extremely disappointed in this turn of events as I had been planning this as a special weekend celebrating my wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time at last year's Wine and Jazz Festival and I had been anticipating a repeat of that experience. At the very least this is a terrible way to do business, and in some sense, it borders on dishonesty and extortion. I will never give my business to Silverton Inn & Suites again, and I urge everyone else to be wary of their business practices. read more
