So make your plans accordingly b/c they won't let you use there facilities . There are a couple you shouldn't set foot in b/c they were down right filthy bathrooms & cashiers looked like unkept & not welcoming in Colorado. Don't go to Idaho Springs or Silverthorne, Colorado avoid these ones at all costs b/c you might end up w/ a homeless coughing in your coffee or all over you !!! We were very impressed w/ the manager in Vernal UT, he was very professional & took pride in his very clean store & bathrooms . The young lady at this Maverik Utah was very polite & welcoming . They are friendly and seem to like that you are there. It's hard to find at other convenience stores. They know my name made sure I got their card so I could start saving immediately and they let you make your own drinks. I'm kind of fussy about that. It's always clean and well stocked. I will drive out of my way to go here. That's big when there are several options but I'm sticking by them.

And the best part: So much booze they have a walk-in cooler filled with it (a majority, of course, beer). Usually one of the most important elements to the customer is the gas PRICES. Jackson's is in a joint venture with Chevron, and their fuel prices are in line with those in the area. So Jackson's is great if you want more than just gas on your next fuel up.

But I don't love that you have to enter from 700 West--there's no driveway from 7200 S. The snack area and other road essentials is more spacious than your typical gas station, so stretch out and grab your jerky, fill your mug, and look at the priceless tchotchke for sale. Regarding the car wash--I dunno if they give one to everyone, or what. Clearly they're trying to upsell you on a more expensive one, but when I went there today I got a "you've earned a free car wash you can upgrade" just after swiping my card. Talk about a niche market: People living or working around the Fort Union triangle who are too cheap to get a membership -- or too lazy to drive 5 miles -- to Costco. While the TWO amply lit Maverik "Adventure's First Stop" (less than a mile apart!) were packed, we shared the Shell station with a night clerk and some grizzled dude in an ancient Ford Taurus who parked in front of the door ... and was just there to buy a pack of smokes. There was an old Simon & Garfunkel song, "A Heart in New York", where the song goes "Lookin' down on Central Park, Where they say you should not wander after dark." Well substitute "Central Park" with "the Shell Station on Fort Union Boulevard."
