We thought this would be a good way to test whether we were happy with everything enough to have the backyard (which is on a golf course) added next year. We paid for the lights, installation and storage service early September. I told the person I was dealing with that installation could happen anytime after Oct 31 (we just would not light them until late Nov), but I wanted everything done no later than the week before Thanksgiving. Autumn comes and the week of Halloween I reached out to see how scheduling the Christmas installation worked. I emailed, I called, I emailed, I called--no response from the person who was "in charge" of installations. We finally got ahold of the business operator, who was able to run "the guy" down and were told our installation would occur the Thursday before Thanksgiving. That date came and went and the week of Thanksgiving we still have no Christmas lights. I called again (and knew enough not to ask for "the guy" and to just speak to the operator) and when I explained the situation, was asked if I wanted my money back--translation, they had no intention of doing the installation any time soon. Evidently, BI was the installer of the drive-through light display in Valley, NE and so they don't really have time for any new residential installs this year (2025). So, beware...go to Brite Ideas for DIY or commercial installs but they are no longer all that interested in residential installs smaller than those found in Lyndon Estates.

For those who aren't familiar with Found Vintage Market, its flagship location is located in Benson, across the street from one of my favorite coffee shops, Hardy Coffee Co. (I smell another review coming.. pun TOTALLY intended!) There is a new location that recently opened in Elkhorn, but I haven't been able to make it there yet. The Benson location, though? Adorable! Eclectic! Vintage! Cozy! And every other adjective I can think of. The store has a little bit of everything for everyone. From furniture to decor to kitchenware to candles to purses and other accessories, it really is a great place to visit when you want gifts as unique as the people you're buying them for. The staff are all super helpful and friendly, and the building itself is full of charm. I can not recommend Found Vintage Market enough!

And thank heavens, they haven't completely jumped on the mid-century trend as most other such places have. From chairs to rugs to cards, there's something here for anyone with good taste. (I picked up a fairly recent photography coffeetable book at a reasonable price.) There's also an adjoining women's vintage clothing store (unfortunately, nothing for guys). While the location might be a little tough to find at first, it's one to put on your radar. (And not far from NFM, so any time you're thinking of visiting them, stop by here, too.)

Especially when you can find comparable items at a thrift store. As a result some items have been there for quite some time. I love that she also carries some local artists' works. But again, overpriced for what they are. The store is quite crowded, I don't think a stroller could fit through some of the walking paths. I worry about bringing my big purse in. Overall, it's a fun place to peruse, but after many visits, I've yet to pull the trigger on buying anything.

The staff were extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions and prices were very fair. The store itself is quite large and was simple to maneuver through even with a stroller. I was fortunate enough to go on a sale day, so my finds were even cheaper! One of the highlights for me was how inexpensive their children's books were (I believe they were 3 for $1). Will definitely be returning!
