Since my first appointment to this one ive gained 15lbs at 22 weeks pregnant (which ive heard from others is very normal) also for me personally i gain weight very very easily so i was surprised it was only 15lbs but the doctor, Mary Frazee, walked into the room and said that ive gained too much weight, i need to lay off all that sugar and soda and start eating your veggies and salads more often. that this is not healthy for you and kept going on and on about it. I called the emergency line for this office bc i threw up very unexpectedly and its not normal for me to throw up even since ive gotten pregnant i havent had any sickness. i live alone so i was panicking more bc i felt like i was going to pass out but i ended up throwing up and being fine and the doctor that i talked to from the office said its normal and just to watch out for some things. So at the appointment the doctor, Mary Frazee walks into the room and after calling me fat pretty much shes like you also called my assistant in the middle of the night thats very rude of you and throwing up is normal your pregnant. i also lift, push, pull very heavy and am constantly bending over at work and ive been getting faint and dizzy at work, i had to pretty much beg her for a note for work and even for that she didnt want to. So in a total of 2 appointments with Mary Frazee she has dismissed me, called me fat and rude and almost wouldnt let me get a doctors note for work. she made me feel judged, ashamed, stupid and she had little to no lack of empathy for me. I will definitely be finding a new doctor asap now.

We ended up with a lot of side profiles because she was covering her face with either hands or feet. We did the 4D ultrasound at 33 week, although it worked well for our son, I think our daughter was a bit too cramped to really show her face. Overall I give 5 stars since everyone was nice. If they don't get a good view, I know their website states they will offer you to come back. We didn't ask, since it wasn't offered to us, maybe due to her age? Not too sure what the guidelines are.

Trust is the foundation of midwifery care, and East Valley Midwifery completely shattered mine. Throughout my care, there was a noticeable lack of communication, empathy, and attentiveness. My concerns were frequently dismissed, and I often felt unheard and invalidated. This wasn't just disappointing - it was harmful. The very people who should have provided reassurance and guidance during such a vulnerable time instead left me feeling isolated and anxious. But the most devastating part was how their negligence directly contributed to a traumatic birth experience - one that no family should have to endure. Their failure to provide proper care, coupled with their dismissive attitude, caused lasting emotional distress that I'm still working to heal from. No parent should have to experience what I did. When you choose a midwife, you're placing your trust in them to safeguard both you and your baby. Unfortunately, East Valley Midwifery has proven they cannot be trusted with that responsibility. I strongly recommend choosing a hospital for your birth, where you can receive the care of an experienced medical team, including doctors who are equipped to handle every aspect of your delivery with competence and compassion.
