After investigating a bit more, I found Rachael and Root of Motion and decided to give it a try. The results, while gradual, were undeniable. Since starting MAT I haven't had a single calf pull during any of my runs or sprint workouts. Rachael is friendly and fun but a master of her craft and a true professional that takes pride in truly helping her clients. As an example of this, she often opts for 90 minute appointments; this is much more of a physical burden on her -- MAT is often a lot of work for the therapist -- yet she is willing to do it because she believes it yields better results for her clients. She also provides massage work as well; the combo of the two is fantastic. Of course MAT won't solve every problem.
