They didn't indicate this when purchasing. They said they checked with the health department who said they can sell food that is 3 years past the expiration date as long as it was reduced in price. Something about this doesn't seem correct to me. Surely you'd have to advertise that they're expired or let your consumer know, especially because these tasted awful. The woman was nice and offered me some nuts in return, and even though that was very kind I don't think I'll be frequenting this store again if they're in practice of selling expired food.
