I am recovering from tendon transfer surgery and it has been a long, difficult process both mentally and physically. At my first appointment, Dr. Kanchan listened to my concerns and my long-term goals and tailored my treatment plan specifically to address my personal needs. She is very clear, fun to talk to during our sessions, and always sends me home with plenty of exercises and clear explanations on how to do them, between appointments. This is such a relief because I am eager to get back to high impact activities like running, pickleball, hiking, and HIIT cycling as soon as possible. She is helping me strengthen my foot, ankle, and leg. She works on loosening the transferred tendon and the scar tissue surrounding the incision. She knows how and when to push me during appointments and when to give me a rest. She is even addressing residual knee pain that may have existed prior to surgery but also may have been exacerbated by the boot I wore for 11 weeks after surgery. If you are planning an upcoming surgery that will require physical therapy, I highly suggest you give them a call now to get on their calendar. It is a small office, which is another part of why I love this practice, so it will take some time to get an appointment. BUT, it is 100% WORTH THE WAIT!! Be patient, you will not regret it.
