We paid our membership fee and they told us that we will be able to use the splash pad and pools and after we signed up, they changed their schedule and know the times don't work for us. They will randomly change their schedule and not notify members so you're not actually able to use the facility when you want to use it. We are here right now and there is no pool we can use as paying members and the irony is it's called the aquatic center. read more

Updating my review because I was deeply disappointed in a place which has been my "Swim home w/family" for Generations They have DESTROYED my Holland Community Pool! For Decades I've been coming to do laps here periodically throughout the years, it was easy to pay, to swim, then have a locker room to prepare for your work day afterwards. NOT ANYMORE! You arrive and they send you to a Universal Locker room with no heads up! Not cool early in the morning before my coffee which is how I have swam here since FOREVER, Also I wasn't the only one overwhelmed, there was an 80 year old Grandmother Not aware she is in a Universal Locker Room, also she wasn't aware that the glass she was changing in front of can be viewed from outside. She also had a hearing problem and the front staff just pushed her along without any explanation like they did me! All I needed was a Pool and a Woman's locker Room like I was getting my whole life coming to this location! It's made for the masses! Not for us Hollanders who like things simple and functional. The new layout has taken my small town pool and turned it to "Disney world" next they might add a monorail My suggestion have a pool and locker room just for us who want to pay, use and shower in private in a Woman's Only locker room like when we were younger here in Our Home Town! read more

Beautiful facility! We very much enjoyed all the pools and kids activities. I just don't understand why the pools are so cold! I have been to many indoor waterpark/facilities and NEVER been this cold. Many reviews point this out. Not sure why it is not corrected. I DO NOT appreciate the ethical dilemma created by freezing and then I can't take the child with me into the hot tub, sauna or steam room to warm up. If the pools and rooms are going to be kept that cold, there needs to be a warming solution for children and parents/guardians. We literally were shivering, had goosebumps and purple lips and spent 30 minutes at the end in the showers trying to warm up. The lifeguards gave mixed feedback. A well run facility would NOT allow this to happen. Check other waterparks. Why can't parents and guardians make their own decisions? If you are concerned, put timers in the hot tubs for kids! Or, raise the room temperature, pool temperatures or both!! read more

Great value for money. Great place to bring kids. Not great if you are sensitive to loud noises. The walking track has lovely views. The class instructors are wonderful. I love the lazy river and indoor water slide. read more

What an excellent facility! I have only been a member for a week, but I have visited three times, swimming laps. This is a very well organized, clean and friendly place. It will help to get me through winter in a reasonably fit condition. Thank you! read more

Our family had a fantastic time during family splash! Our toddler boys loved it and papa got to have a soak in the hot tub as well.

They just finished a pool expansion that includes an indoor track, wading pool, lazy river, splash zone, water slide, spa and sauna. I took my kids over spring break and it was packed. We enjoyed the "lazy" River... it goes fast! My 5year old was tall enough for the giant water slide (42"). We ended up only staying less than hour as all my kids got really cold and there was no place to warm up for them. The water is warm but not warm enough if your playing. We tried the 50m pool it was slightly warmer but still very cold for them. The hot tub is large and sectioned off into groups of 4 but you have to be 16 to use it. The Spa and Sauna are also 16 on up. My daughter who is 13 was freezing as well. The locker rooms are ice cold. They have really neat locks that are self setting so you don't need to bring a lock. I like the fact that the locker rooms are for both male and female. They have lots of changing rooms available with doors that go almost all the way to the floor. The work out area and the track look down into that pool area. Over all the place is really nice. We have tried this place before the remodel and our complaint from before and now is the temperature of the water. If they are not going to offer a place for kids to warm up then make the kids are a bit warmer. read more

Preface: We were here for a diving competition, so my impression is limited in scope. A very clean facility and I appreciated the open and brightness of it all. We spent most of our time in the spectator area. I didn't sit in the bleachers (7 hours of viewing divers) as I brought a pop up chair. Note: the AC staff had no issues with my chair, nor were there any posted signs prohibiting them yet, I had three people tell me or a member of my family the chairs "weren't allowed". Jealousy? My daughter said their locker rooms and the pool deck were clean and well maintained. She even noted for me that the diving boards were in good shape - traction feels new, wheel adjuster moves easily, boards springs well, and the ladder to the 3m board felt strong. The water park area of the pool looked like a ton of fun. Unfortunately, it was a major distraction for my 5 year old to watching her sister. (In hindsight, if I had known I would have brought a suit for the little one to enjoy herself for a moment.) read more

I love this gym and swimming center! There is only one thing that bothers me. The custodians there are so rude. They make faces at people and stare people down. They look like they hate their jobs. Not everyone loves their job, but don't make others uncomfortable! read more

We had a really good time on a rainy December. Facility is clean and the staff is very helpful. Locker room has great showers. The kids loved the diving boards, zip line and basketball. They also have a hot tub and water park for smaller kids as well as lap pool and play pool. Well worth the price of admission. read more

We have gone to the aquatic center in the past and have loved it!! We decided to bring our theee young kids tonight for some family time!! Checked online and said they were open!!! So we go....and they were closing!!!! For their holiday party!!! Our two year old screamed bubbles for about a half an hour and completely ruined our night. Being such a big organization and associated with Holland Hospital I would assume accurate hours online. The lady kept telling us to always call and never trust their hours online. For the most part my family and I really enjoyed the aquatic center. It was pretty entertaining for the kids and was very reasonably priced. However one big down fall for me was the requirements! My daughter is 4 1/2 and is an excellent swimmer, she swims better than most kids twice her age yet she wasn't allowed on the slide or the obstacle course... that was extremely unfair and disappointing! read more

Excellent fun center for families! Our 10 year old loved it as much as our 2 year old as much as the adults! Things to do for all ages. It open to the public from 12:30 to 3 p.m. and is super affordable, $5 a person or $4.50 if you have a group of more than 6 people, I think. read more

It is clean, fun and usually not too crowded. Cost is compared to a movie maybe and since you don't have to buy expensive popcorn it is a good alternative. You do get a little break if you live within the Holland school district (NOT to be confused with North Holland (township) or West Ottawa school district). Be prepared to pay full admission if you are a parent or grandparent just wanting to sit and watch ground level with the pool (or required if your child isn't a certain age/height). Otherwise if they are old enough you can sit in the nose bleed section for free. read more

We came up to Holland for a week long visit. Unfortunately, there were a lot of beach hazard warning all week, so we decided to try the Holland Aquatic Center. The admission is only $5.50, and it is totally worth it! The water slide is great. It is long and doesn't go slow. The obstacle coarse is very fun and challenging. It was tons of fun and racing through it (there are 2 lanes) was also fun. Also, the water wasn't freezing cold, which was nice. Overall, a great place! read more

We wish we could make this review higher on behalf of the fun and professional swim instructor who worked with our four-year-old child at the Holland Aquatic Center. Unfortunately, much of our positive experience was ruined with one interaction with a separate staff member who shouldn't be near children. While waiting on our swim instructor on the instructional side of the building, we began to gather swim "noodles" that our son has used during his lessons since his first one. I was within one foot of our son encouraging him to gather the ones he normally uses so that he was ready for when his instructor arrived. We were the only two on that side of the center (separate from play area), and someone inside the instructional staffs' office on this side of the building was calling our instructor to tell them we arrived. Within about one minute of being near the swim toys, a woman threw open the door from this office area and began scolding our son for being there and for gathering noodles. My hand was on our son's arm at this time. I was always within one foot of him because I'm not an idiot, love my son, and want him feeling safe and secure while we wait. While this woman used her "role" as an adult or staff member to try to wield her "power" and shame our son for preparing for his lesson, there was no confusion as to who this child was with or that this child was not alone. We literally were the only ones on that side waiting. I was with him with my hand on him and one foot away. My face was at his level encouraging him to grab the noodles. This woman began scolding him like he was less than a dog and as though he (a four-year-old with his mother right beside him) should know better. Her "shaming" tone was angry, dominating, and entirely inappropriate for a child to hear. Not once did she look at me to determine if it was okay for her to say a word, let alone scold my child. My guess is she didn't look at me because she knew she would sound absolutely ridiculous talking to an adult that way. Let me make this clear for anyone considering this Aquatic Center and for the staff members who work there: no child deserves to be talked to like she talked to my son, no matter the age and whether or not a parent is present. Do better for our children. Our four-year-old had never heard anyone speak so angrily directly at him. He didn't understand nor should any child have to try to understand. I spoke with a couple of people about who this woman was and her name may be Anita. I plan to call management about the incident tomorrow. read more
