Typically I have not had a great experience in this store as I find the owner to be rather arrogant... as in, his opinion is the only one that's right, despite what my Doctor has told me. Perhaps I'm a sucker for punishment but I occasionally stop by, when our regular nutritional supplement store is out of stock of something, hoping the customer service has gotten better. Unfortunately, it has never been the case but today... today was different!. He was actually helpful, offered advice and was really quite personable. I was impressed with both the friendliness of the staff, as well as their knowledge. Unlike other health food stores, where you ask them where something is, and they treat you like you're disturbing them (as if customer service is not the central part of their job), the staff at Nutrition House will take you right to where you need. They'll also dig a bit deeper, and ask for your purpose in buying that supplement, and give you either better alternatives that suit your purpose (even if they're cheaper), dispel myths (that the supplement you're buying doesn't actually accomplish the goal that you want it to), or enhance it (that the supplement you're buying works better with another supplement). This is why I like buying my supplements at Nutrition House Fairview.

It turns out that I didn't need the new product that I had purchased and went back to get it exchanged for something else. Just an fyi that exchange can only be done within 7 days of purchase. The same female staff was working when I went back and I explained that I wanted to exchange what I had bought for something else. I couldn't believe that she remembered me and parts of the conversation that we had. I picked up something else and even used some of the Popeyes Buck's I had earned last time to pay.

When I had a large yard I would get dizzy trying to keep my order under $150. This year for my balcony I ordered the kitchen herb garden. Thirteen plants ( I think) for an unbeatable price. I have ordered essential oils for my laundry spritz water and they always arrive safe and sound. My only wish is that they would print a few uses on the back of the plant ID plastic identifiers, or on the invoice. This is the best nursery ever and the plants are clean, no little travellers! And here i thought it was a grand opening. They have 15%+ off everything in-store.  Some are even 60% off. If you spend over $100, you get a gift bag. I bought a supplement, which is usually $36.99, where I normally buy it. Their list price was $31.99, and I get 15% off! A no-brainer. Then I found a granola package with an oatmeal cookie crunch at 50% off, so I bought that too! There were lots of staff around, and they were eager to help. I don't know if there would be that many staff if it were not a customer appreciation event. There had everything that any health store would sell, but in a massive store. Then, they also had two long aisles, with food items dispensed like at Bulk Foods. There is free WiFi.
