    Petit Roquefort - Chilaquiles

The Portobello Roquefort seemed unique and a good enough option for a lunch sandwich. It included Portobello, mezala de queso, another type of queso called queso de cabeza, Dijon mustard so delish, and lettuce. The restaurant is set-up very elegantly, and the service was right on par with the ambiance. Not a detail was overlooked and our dining needs were attended to with great attention. I am almost considering coming back again before I head out. Highly recommended restaurant for breakfast or lunch!

Our first morning in Mexico City called for a tasty breakfast, and after a quick Yelp search (and a…read morefew TikToks for good measure), we landed on Petit Roquefort -- and wow, what a great choice! We arrived around 10:30 a.m. and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away even though the restaurant looked packed. There's actually an upstairs area that you can't see at first, so don't be discouraged if it looks full when you walk in. Our group ordered a mix of items -- fresh green juice, two plates of chilaquiles, and two hamburgers -- and everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Service was quick and friendly. Our server was kind, made great recommendations, and navigated the language barrier with patience and smiles. What makes this spot even more special is its location inside a small marketplace filled with local vendors selling everything from clothes and jewelry to organic oils and scrubs. After breakfast, we wandered through the shops and ended up buying a few cute items -- the perfect way to start our trip! Overall, Petit Roquefort was such a delightful surprise -- great food, warm service, and a charming atmosphere. Highly recommend for your first (or any!) morning in CDMX.

However, the food and the lattes we got were not very good. My boyfriend and I got the golden latte. He got it cold, and I got it hot. The hot was better than the cold, but still wasn't very good. I don't know who likes turmeric in drinks that are not heath-conscious drinks, but if you're the person, this is for you. It has very strong turmeric. We shared the chicken and waffles, which the waffles were a bit dry. The saving grace is the small side of ice cream, which I used to make the waffles less dry. The chicken was crispy, but it had some parts where the texture was off for me. Wouldn't really recommend unless you really value ambiance and would have it carry a restaurant.

I definitely enjoyed our late breakfast, overall good flavors, drinks and portions. It is a bit pricy for something like a Chilaquiles, but I do understand adding the egg and meat was an up charge but still. The burger was very good and cooked to the correct temperature. Yes meat has a correct temperature and anything over medium rare is just sac-religious. I would go back if the opportunity arose.

A Server came out and greeted me, and I just parked myself in their outdoor section within the food court area. I started out with a cafe Americano con leche, as well as, a pan de dulce. The coffee and pastry was pretty average tasting. So I just sat there for about fifteen minutes, and nobody bothered to come back to see if I wanted to order something else. It seemed like the workers here were busy organizing their stuff behind the counter, and I didn't really want to bother anybody for service. The indoor shopping area is what makes this restaurant unique, but I didn't pick-up any special vibe from here.
