Buffalo chicken sandwich with a side of okra.
    Darius M.

I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich, it was really good and lightly fried. Service was ok. The lady at the front taking orders was really nice and the lady that delivered our food to our table was nice. Ambiance gave a small town feel. Overall it was a nice experience.

    Nice sunflower on the table.

We actually found this place by accident. I'm glad we did. This is a small, cozy restaurant. The ladies at the counter were very nice. I got the 2 meat club and my friend got catfish and potato salad. My meal was very good. The bacon was especially good. My friend enjoyed his catfish also. The star of the meal was the potato salad. Not everyone can make a good potato salad. This is was sooooo good. Had I not been traveling all day, I would've gotten some to go! They also had several cakes and pies. The chocolate cake looked delicious. I'll make sure to try that next time. Whenever I'm back in the area, I'm definitely going to come back!!

This place is a hidden gem in downtown! The staff was super friendly, and the restaurant was very clean. The prices are really good as well. The chicken sandwich was a bit tough to be honest but the breading was really good, and the fries were delicious. The only other knock was they don't make their own ranch! It was just packaged ranch. When you walk in you go to the register and order / pay before you get your food, then they deliver it to your table this took a sec for me to get but makes sense in retrospect. Overall highly recommend you check this place out if you're in downtown!

This was a nice little spot to stop at for a mid morning breakfast. It's very rustic and homey and they had Emerill playing on one of the TVs non stop which I loved. I was a bit confused at first on how to order, but the cashier was super nice and explained to me how things work. All of the girls working were very sweet and helpful. The turkey bacon was delicious, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The pancakes were lovely with a nice hint of spice to them (cinnamon I think). I'll be back to try lunch another time.

    "Hangover Burger" w/ battered fries

I was staying in Downtown Suffolk overnight with my best friend for a wedding and we decided to pop into Holland's for a quick brunch before heading home. Walking in we were really digging the rustic, yet modern décor. After looking over the menu I decided on ordering "The Hangover Burger" topped with country ham, bacon, fried egg, jalepeño, chili, and pimento cheese. It was so good. Admittedly, I would've preferred the beef patty to have a little more seasoning; however, the flavor profile of the chili mixed with the pimento cheese on top of the burger was FIRE and gave it plenty of flavor. I was also a big fan of the battered fries that came on the side; furthermore, I loved the fact that they serve their sides of ranch (and I assume other sauces) in metal 1/4 measuring cups and that soft drinks come in mason jars. Little cutesy touches like that always make dining out that much more enjoyable. Our waitress Amanda was very nice and accommodating and checked on us regularly throughout our meal with a positive attitude. Overall, Holland's serves up delicious food with a homey feel and my friend and I had quite a pleasant experience.

Absolutely delicious food. Everything was yummilicious. Their homemade cakes and desserts are very good. Customer service is excellent. Definitely will return!!!

Holland's was a pleasant surprise for us. I had seen the sign outside when venturing around downtown but never had the chance to stop in. My wife and I went here one Monday for lunch and we had a great time. The establishment is very modern and pretty, the service was friendly, the mood was active and lively, and the food was delicious. Ordering took us a moment to figure out since there was a booklet for a menu and a wall with specials written on it and no clear direction as to whether we head to the bar or the side counter. Once another patron pointed us over to the counter on the left, we were greeted by an employee and then ready to go! We did have an issue with the meal since my fried chicken was still pink in the middle, but once I informed the server, she brought a fresh order out quickly and apologetically. Overall, great small town restaurant with friendly service and a modern feel

I've been to Holland's on a couple of occasions. Nice interior with a local feel. The food is decent but nothing spectacular. My French Toast was dry, sausage was good and taste homemade. The Country Ham here is delicious (not to salty or dry) and is available by the pound.

I ordered shrimp and grits, plenty of andoui sausage and shrimp made with creamy Gouda. Loved it. Had the wedge salad and strawberry cake with fresh homemade ice cream. Will return.

Sunday Brunch Burger and The Country Ham Sandwich
    Buddy B.

Ate brunch there today and was pleasantly surprised. I had the hangover burger and it was delicious. Service was fantastic and they sell sweets, breads and other fun foods. There is even a full bar if that's your thing. I think the brunch drink on Sunday was a $3 mimosa. 10/10, we will visit again.

    BLT, chips and a pickle.

Love it here!…read more Yesterday my husband and I dined at this restaurant for the prime rib special. Today Monday the day after is National prime rib day so the restaurant decided to feature a special on prime rib for Sunday dinner. My husband made reservations online for 5:00 p.m. we arrived on time with no wait and because the restaurant was fairly empty we decided to dine at the bar instead of a table in the actual dining room. Our bartender/waitress, Lizzie, she was on point held the whole bar area down punctual assertive and had everything under control. I ordered a margarita I did ask her is it a fresh Margarita and she said yes and my husband ordered his normal crown with a splash of Sprite. My margarita in my opinion it didn't taste as fresh as I would like it to be and then I don't care to have a margarita in a tall glass that just screams mix not fresh to me. Nevertheless I just know not to order that again going forward but my husband's cocktail... Crown Royal with Sprite he enjoyed it! I wasn't super hungry so I decided to order a salad and add a piece of blackened salmon to it it was very good finished it all up... ordered it my way. My husband ordered the prime rib I believe medium his was a little bit more than medium but nevertheless he said it was good and he ate every last Fork full. We decided to make room for dessert so we share the creme bruelle which was pretty good ...not the best ever tho. Our dining experience took about 90 minutes we were able again to sit at the bar and catch some of the NBA Playoffs that were featured on TV. Overall the dining experience was a 10 out of a 10 five stars as usual of course a few bumps, but nothing to take away from this experience. The Ambiance is always lovely very inviting love the low lighting that it gives as well as the natural light that comes through the windows. The service always on point! I highly recommend you give this place a try if you haven't dined here before...solid restaurant. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Ambiance is aesthetically pleasing with a country roadside shack motif. The bar area has TVs with sports and a great selection of craft beers and house specialty cocktails. The only drawback is that parking during peak working hours can be tricky with only street parking available as there are lots of small businesses and other restaurants in this area with the same issue. The Food is REALLY GOOD! I had the Pork & Pollock; a healthy lump of pulled pork with two pieces of battered and fried pollock, a cup of slaw and a side of your choice (I got the Cindy's Mac-n-cheese). I also added a side of their hushpuppies, and my only complaint is that my stomach was not big enough to finish it all. Tip: if your hushpuppies come out with their house made honey butter, just ask you will thank me latter. Various BBQ sauces are provided on the table for your meats and sides; my favorite was the sweet Memphis style. If you are in the area and hungry, I highly recommend finding a parking spot and swinging in!

Service took forever to get. We waited over an hour just to receive drinks and an appetizer. I'm not saying this happened daily because this was my first time, but honestly just because you're having a private event in back there still should've been enough staff to service your regular customers or just shut the place down to cater unto them only. We ordered teriyaki chicken wings as our appetizer and they were okay. Nothing to call home about!!!! I ordered the shrimp and grits. The cajun sauce was alright. Again, nothing to call home about! The location is off of Airlines blvd making it convenient to my family being that we live within 10 minutes of it. Yes we could've left any time, but wanted to check the food out here.
