Our favorite sushi place in the area! We do the all you can eat option & you can't beat the price (around $30) for what you can get. The rolls are made to order & they have a good amount to choose from. Appetizers are also included. Service is good every time as well. Even if there's a crowd, we're attended to a decent amount. Absolutely the worst service I've ever experienced at a restaurant. The older female server (possibly the owner) had an extremely rude attitude from the start -- by the second round of ordering, she already looked like she wanted me gone. I tried asking a younger male server for help, but she actually scolded him for assisting me. From then on, she avoided my table and even walked away deliberately when she got close. I waited 10-15 minutes for my third round and ended up being handed the bill before she even asked if I needed anything else. This is supposed to be an all-you-can-eat sushi place -- yet I was treated like a burden. The food was okay, but the service was appalling. I'm from out of state, and I've been to other sushi buffets with great service. This one was shockingly bad. I left feeling completely unwelcome. Our family was in the neighborhood and decided to try out the all-you-can-eat buffet. We were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is spacious and clean, and the servers arrived promptly at our table to get us started with drinks. We had the tuna, octopus, Twin Towers, shrimp tempura, lobster, and spicy volcano rolls. The favorite rolls were the Twin Towers, Spicy Volcano, and Shrimp Tempura. The fish was not good quality the rolls are cut extremely large and hard to eat and it was mainly rice. The edamame was undercooked and the only thing that was decent was the shrimp tempura. Service was not great we had to ask for refills and the way I was looked at by the chefs made me extremely uncomfortable. The restaurant also had a strong smell of incense which was not the vibe while I was eating. For $75.00 this was not worth it at all and will not be returning!!! read more

Food was great. Service was slow but they were very busy on Saturday evening at 6. The price of the all you can eat has gone up to $31.95. For dinner on a Saturday, they had All You Can Eat (from 3:00pm - 9:30pm). I liked that this all you can eat option was made to order and each sushi roll was made fresh (not just sitting out buffet style). They had a sushi menu and a hot kitchen menu. I am amazed by the positive reviews. This is literally the worst sushi buffet I've ever been to. The salad was swimming in dressing. All of the rolls were cooked except two rolls with the cat food looking spicy tuna. The sushi had too much rice for my taste. The salmon sushi had silver on the Edge and the tuna was a color I've never seen before. The food of the cooked bar was overcooked and bland. I got the buffet because it wasn't much more than the lunch deal. I would definitely never eat here again. Nana is a mile away and there are four other sushi restaurants with min two miles. The menu is huge, so many options. I think I recall some non-sushi items for those who don't eat raw fish. It's a decent sized restaurant, with booths and tables. I had the Christmas tree roll and spicy volcano roll. I was very pleased with the freshness of the rolls. The portions were average. I've been here a couple times and love the variety they have on their menu. The service is nice but a bit slow. I highly recommend getting a few plates at a time and ordering at least one plate while your server is around to check in on you. But I think they might be understaffed? And it wasn't too bad of a wait as long as you order in that pattern. The inside is really nice, almost elegant looking. It's a nice spot to go out with friends, family, or on a date. The only thing that slightly bothers me is that I notice they put a lot of celery in their sushis, more than the actual protein. I popped in here after my doctor appointment across the street for a little snack to-go. It's brand new and looks great inside. You can do a la carte ordering or do the sushi buffet. They had paper menus you write on to order off the menu. The sushi rolls in the buffet looked good and I couldn't see the hot bar in the back but the staff seemed pretty attentive to everything. I ordered the sushi lunch special with a spicy salmon roll and white tuna sashimi. I loved that the spicy roll was different from the other rolls in the area and the sashimi was super delicious and fresh. The miso soup was also great. I can't complain about having another sushi option in the area, especially one that offers a buffet option! I look forward to coming back and having a sit down meal here! read more

Unfortunately the service is a snail's pace and I had several issues this past time which was 4pm on Saturday with only one other table, so they had no excuse: had to get our own menus, water took forever to come out, salads were forgotten, "sushi" was served as sashimi instead and I had to ask for a separate bowl of rice and assemble my own. All the food was delicious and fresh...so that was not a problem for us!!!!! Niece didn't do AYCE, so she was able to take her leftovers/given a 'to go' box. For a Lunch / AYCE, their menu had plenty of options...bring an appetite! Dining area not huge, 5 of us were comfortable in a booth, and there were multiple other tables. I'm super happy this came to the area. All the people running this are so kind and the service, very comparable to the service I got when I was living in Asia growing up. The sushi selection on the buffet is plenty and they actually have sashimi available too! I come here because it's one of the few places you can get grilled squid. Ok update! Had a wonderful experience at Sakari Sushi! We were looking for something local, and with better quality than Sushi King. We also love Sakana but we eat a lot of sushi and prefer AYCE (all you can eat) options We came on a Tuesday for dinner at around 6pm, we sat ourselves at a booth and we were quickly greeted by the only server we saw the entire night, there were also two sushi chefs working the bar. Long story short, all the fish was fresh and flavorful, sashimi is included in ayce and so buttery and tasty. The tempura batter for the fried rolls and the tempura shrimp roll was light, airy, and crunchy. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. As per the detail, we paid $27.95 a person for the dinner ayce, and ordered the below: miso soup - perfect flavor and not too hot age tofu - wish it had been a bit crispier but wonderful flavor bbq squid - amazing flavor for a dish that is very hard to find in this area, just a tad bit overcooked tuna tataki - raw salmon was great, seemed to be marinated in ponzu and maybe some spicy sauce, it came garnished with scallion, served over seaweed salad monster roll - our least favorite of the spicy rolls we tried, just nothing special about it american roll - mediocre, will not order again super crunch roll - great quality, mild taste, perfect texture spider roll - had never tried soft shell crab before, this roll was the perfect texture and taste and left us wanting more king snake roll - great option if you love raw fish, no fillers and just a small amount of rice, perfect amount of spicy sauce TNT roll - great option if you like fried rolls, the tempura batter was very airy and the tuna tataki was the perfect addition on top salmon sashimi - fresh taste, extremely buttery tuna sashimi - tasted fresh and was good enough for us, considering we normally do not like tuna sashimi white tuna sashimi - this is escolar, there is no such thing as white tuna. a bit underwhelmed by them using the wrong name as it could cause problems to people with allergies, but it was fresh and tasty read more

Waited 25 minutes to have our order taken. Watched 6 couples come in, sit down, get their order taken. I don't understand how they were able to take everyone else's order before us. It's Valentine's Day and there one table other than us when we showed up. 40 minutes in we finally got some sort of food. The appetizers. 45 minutes in now we wait again to see when they take our order. 1 hour in we are still waiting to get the appetizers dishes taken off the table and asked if we want anything. An hour and fifteen minutes in, I'm debating on going up to the chef and seeing if I can place an order. The table next to us got their order taken and OUR waitress looked at us and kept walking. My wife went up to see if we could close out because we were not paying 30.95$ per person to be treated like this. Absolutely will not ever recommend this place to anyone. Will never be back. I'm not much of a sushi buffet person but this place is on another level. Best Buffet hands down in my opinion. Very simple and clean atmosphere with 5 Star server's and service. The only place that we found that serves volcano rolls and sushimi in a buffet all you can eat. This is a new hidden gem in Suffolk and I hate spreading the news but I definitely want this place to stay in business. So that is my main reason for the review lol. All you can eat buffet that comes with dessert is second to none. So glad there is a quality Sushi & Japanese restaurant in the area. We had the buffet, which came with Miso soup and desert. They don't have an ABC license yet, but who cares? The food was fantastic and much better than your normal buffet around here. Next time we are going to go a la carte as they have some really interesting items on the sushi menu.
