I did need it on a relatively tight timeline. Specifically, I needed bonding and grounding for the pool, wiring of 1 light, 120v auxiliary outlets by the pool, pool heater, pool pump, and salt water system. I suggested putting an outdoor sub panel in by all the equipment (immediately next to the house with an easy run to the main panel in an unfinished basement) to simplify the job. The trenches were all already dug by the pool company so there was no digging involved. For the job, they wanted nearly $16,000. I honestly thought it was a typo at first and that they maybe put an extra 1 at the beginning by accident. This quote made no sense. I called to check in and they confirmed that indeed, the cost was nearly $16,000. I ended up doing the job myself for under $1,500 in materials and about 2 days work. I have absolutely no idea where they came up with that number. When the electrical inspector came out to check my work he almost threw up when I told him what was quoted. Disgusting. I've attached a screenshot of the actual quote (non-itemized because I guess it's easier to rip people off that way). Steer far away from this company. VERY far.

The initial call was very painless, and their availability was better than anybody else I called. Their pricing was high, but you pay a price for convenience and my time table was short, so I accepted that. They also showed up within their time window which was appreciated. The work was done well for the most part. Where it fell a bit short was that they left small pieces of wire and insulation all over the house. I'm still finding it today. Also, the technician left a tool of his at my house during the job. He called me once and I said I would keep an eye out for it. He then proceeded to keep calling my personal cell multiple times to keep asking if I had found it. This was in the middle of when we were trying to move. Also, the tool he lost? Maybe $10 at Lowe's. Am I happy with the work for the most part? Yes. Will I ever call them again? No. For what they charge, they should have been better about the details. I paid $90 per GFCI outlet to put it in perspective.

Owner Chris Marchetti was great, coming out the next day, giving us a really good professional evalution and a reasonale quote for the big job. When the guys, Randy and Jimmy, came out to do the work, they were awesome. Polite, efficient, and kept us informed every step of the way. They cleaned up after themselves, wore masks and practiced safe distancing. We made a few changes to what we wanted installed and they handled them within the scope of the work. There were no suprise charges which was a concern after a bad experience elsewhere. Great job Kelco!
