Soldiers can come here and submit everything to get a drivers license, vehicle registration, vehicle title and transfer. FT Bliss retention office is here and school liaison. Also some sort of in processing finance support . The DMV/Public Safety office inside the Welcome/Soldier Center in Fort Bliss is great for it is not near as busy as off base, you can get about everything done but the driving test part of getting a driving license.

I'm active Air Force and they still welcomed me as I was visiting in town. I waited maybe 10 minutes and got processed/finished within 20 minutes. It makes life much less stressful for military community members to not wait hours on end at the other off base places. I'd recommend making a sure you have printed copies of all your required documents. They don't accept emailed copies or copies from your smart phone.

Of course the White Sands Missile Range is huge. It's beyond huge. It's massive. We got through the…read moregate at 9:30am (after waiting two hours in the queue) and didn't get to Ground Zero for a half hour. That's 30 minutes of driving in the military base at 30-40 mph. And we didn't even get to the *center* of the Missile Range! WSMR opens twice a year for tourists to visit the Ground Zero site under highly controlled and secure conditions. You'll need to show ID at the gate and you can't bring alcohol, weapons or drugs. The guards (yes, actual Army personnel) will ask. And you don't want to mess around or joke. I've reviewed the Trinity Site separately. This review is just for the WSMR which is secure, professional and yes, gigantic. I'll need to come back when it's not Open House day to tour the museum. I am currently on my seventh deployment, so having my mail forwarded is nothing new. It is…read morehowever, my first time deploying from Holloman AFB. I requested to have my my mail forwarded, 2 weeks prior to my departure in December for 6 months. My request lasted a little over a month before USPS started leaving packages at my door and leaving mail in my box. Needless to say my packages were stolen (it was weeks before I noticed, because I didn't realize that postal reps required constant follow-up). I contacted USPS and they apologized. An apology only goes so far though, I had to ask where my mail was again in April and June. The postmaster Jerry, told me, my mother and my first sergeant something different each time. "New carrier," or "We (USPS) can't forward packages," even though they previously forwarded two of the subscription boxes they said they couldn't forward, "someone ripped the label out of your mailbox," even though I am single and nobody has access to my mailbox, to completely disregarding me because they are "busy and undermanned." In the 6 months I have been deployed, my mother has received 11 pieces of mail. You think they would have forwarding mail down considering they are located on a military installation where people are constantly deployed/TDY, but that is not the case. It is by far the worst service I have received from any post office in my nine PCSs and seven deployments. I recommend having friends/family check your mail while you're out because they do not understand the concept of forwarding.

He's probably coming in hot with presents on his sleigh as he tears across the sky delivering presents to all the good little boys and girls. I'm thankful that United States tax dollars go into a program where we keep track of Santa. Someone has to- I'm sure the customs forms on that sack of toys is a pile of paperwork. Thankfully, NORAD hasn't reported a false alert that has resulted in WWIII - yet. Of course, you can track Santa's location online, and sometimes the news puts it on when he's getting close to Texas. Santa seems to go incrementally through the time zones to hit everything at the right time. NORAD tracks how many presents that Santa gives as well. Very useful information.
