What a great find. Classic hot dogs. Criminally overlooked lunch option. Quick service, location is easy and in a nice downtown area.

This place has moved! She has a standing location now instead of a cart. We've been wanting to try this place when we come to the area for work, and we finally got the chance. Their menu options were great, and made it hard to decide what we wanted! Prices are extremely fair and portions were huge for what you pay. I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up getting the PB&J hot dog. I wish I knew it came with cheese because I would have asked for none, but other than that, it was really good. Keep in mind, everything is made with a typical hot dog that you would find at like a ballpark - big and juicy but nothing really special. I think we were all hoping the flavors would be infused in the hotdog, but we had high hopes. The peanut butter was warm and gooey, so good. I loved the sweetness of the jelly with the dog as well, just wished there was more! Tots were pretty standard. They had some great drink options. Highly recommend. Recommended to us for hot dog and fries...went to pick up some food and have a quick lunch at a picnic table in the river front. (Worked out great). Super friendly and efficient service. We went inside to order (vs going through drive thru). Lol --heads up. It's SUPER small in there. You get a close look at everything though and it was clean, not greasy, etc so that was a plus. First--the fries are GREAT. I had carnita tacos --good. The flavor of the pork was good. Fairly juicy. Tortillas were fresh, could have used more crema and I didn't get the street corn in it as described, which was a major bummer. (Net net--wish I had gotten the hot dog. I suspect they would have steamed the bun perfectly). My husband got the Italian beef. Don't get cheese, lol. It's canned (like cheese whiz). In fairness they do tell you that upfront. His beef was dry but again he chose against the au jus which I think would have made a difference. Roll was super fresh. If we are back in area I think we will try again ... overall it was ok. Okay, if you've never had a PB&J hot dog, you should! The only thing is next time I'll ask them not to put liquid (or any for that matter) cheese on it! Ick. My sister had the Chicago dog and loved it. She's been here before and had the Crab Rangoon, she said that was amazing! Their flavor the day we went was Spaghetti. Ummm, no for me. Great food selection everything on the menu is normally out of the park. Some of my favorites are the Italian beef with extra Jordanair. They're very classic Chicago dog, and their own twist of a crab Rangoon hotdog topped with crispy wontons and chili sauce while they use their homemade crab Ragan dip on the bun. I'm a local and work very nearby this establishment and it is a weekly must of all of our coworkers I also highly enjoy and I suggest they're fried pickle spears and cheese curds. I went through the driveway. They are fast,and they are good at getting your order ready. The Boss is very cool, and they put out very delicious food ! Wonderful food and unique food at that. I never thought a pb&j bacon and cheese hot dog would ever be a favorite of mine but now that I'm able to I'm in the drive though at least once a week for one. I can't get enough of this place. read more
