Extremely long wait for food and awfully slow service. It feels like customers are not a priority. Review in Father's Day 2026.

We waved as we walked in to a waiter, pointed to a seemingly available picnic table, and he waved that we were good to go, so we sat right away, at 7:45p...after that more tables opened up. Drinks: 1. Pina colada - no bueno...like a coconut ice, not pina colada. 2. Passion fruit juice with fresh mint - delicious! 3. Cherry juice drink with alcohol - wife liked it, and I thought it was good. Appetizers: 1. Beef empanadas- I thought the crust overpowered the meat and onion, but daughter and wife loved it. 2. Nachos - terrible. Chips were stale and cheese/beans covering was bare, but then they gave us additional refried beans in a little cup, and straight I thought the refried beans were delicious. 3. Baha fish tacos - phenomenal!!! Entrees: 1 Chicken fajitas: disappointing. The spicing was off, on the chicken, and the guacamole was mostly sour cream. 2. Steak fajitas: very good and way better than the chicken Service was quick and the staff knew their stuff, but it took a long time to get the bill because other tables came in.

The vibe was great, the food was fresh and well made, and the service was friendly overall. A fun bonus: we actually got to see the famous rock band Maná dining there, which was such a cool surprise! We ordered quite a bit--the chips and queso, chips and guac, hot sauce, tamale, rice and beans, kids cheese quesadilla, and veggie fajitas. The kids' quesadilla was a huge hit with our 5-year-old (who is a picky eater and devoured it). The veggie fajitas were decent and tasty, though for the price I would have liked a bit more on the plate in terms of sides. There was a small hiccup where cilantro was accidentally added to one of my dishes, and it did take quite a while for the corrected dish to come out, but they were very kind about it. That said, everything else was enjoyable and the overall experience was still very good. Overall, a great spot for solid Mexican food in Old San Juan with a fun atmosphere and fresh flavors.

Duck Quesadillas: When I think of a duck quesadilla, I think of something that has a rich profile, but this was surprisingly humble. The duck, mushroom, and cheese all harmonized well to create a symphonic doughy pillow. Definitely recommend it. Grouper Fillet: I don't get the chance to eat Grouper often, but when I do it always hits. I can confidently say that my experience has continued. Despite the bed of sweet potatoes, you could still make out the distinct semi-sweet flavor of the fish. Also the creamy sauce paired perfectly with both the potatoes and fish. Of all the different restaurants I could've chosen, I think this was one of the best ones to end off my night in Old San Juan. Looking forward to coming back!

Our server was super friendly and attentive and recommended the pork belly tacos. We started off with the bean dip, which ended up being our most favorite dish of the night...just very simple and flavorful. It hit the spot! The tacos were equally great. Fresh ingredients, tasty, and good portions. The only thing we didn't care for was the queso fundito, where the texture was a bit too rubbery, but we were so full from the other dishes that it didn't matter. While the food was a bit on the slow side, it didn't matter as long as the beers were flowing :) Definitely a must visit if you're in Dorado as the food here will not disappoint!

This place wants to be Mexican but the only Mexican thing is the skull on their logo. Ambience is also ok, service was mixed for me. Our waitress was nice, but there was a waiter that was creepy; a guy who did not talk to anyone until two young ladies came in. He followed them and kept asking them questions about where they were coming from. When he left their table saying "your waitress will be right up" one girl told the other "viejo verde". When we stood up to leave, we say a guy (eating alone) talk to the waiter. Although he was listening to the client, his eyes were still on those young ladies. Creepy!
