They claim to enforce parking but we drove around and could not find a place that wasn't next to an abandoned vehicle. The entire garage was sketchy and we chose to park at another nearby garage that was a lot more up-kept and clean. Property management seems absent here. Park elsewhere

Good! no wifi but accept cards. close enough to the beach. The cost is $4 per hour. which is normal for this region. The elevators are good. We arrived at lunch on Sunday, there were only seats on the 5th and 6th floor. But there were! it's good.

We were only at this resort for one night, but I have surprisingly warm and nostalgic feelings…read moreabout this place. My husband booked a couple nights here for a staycation for my birthday using his American Airlines points. I admit I was very nervous because I looked up the reviews and they are, admittedly, horrible. In the end, we had a really good experience here... despite being there when it caught on fire! Here are the pros and cons. Pros: - if you're going for the sole purpose of enjoying the beach and pool, this is a good resort. It's super easy access to both, and both were very pretty. The beach is a private beach. There were plenty of chairs at the pool - There is a small, intimate feel with it being a relatively smaller resort so we saw a lot of the same people and made friends (but it's not so small that you have to make friends if you don't want to lol) - The staff was all incredibly friendly from the front desk people to the restaurant staff and servers. - The lobby was nice - The pool had a bar/ restaurant that served a full menu. They also had a server coming around both at the pool and the beach. - the hotel is right next to the beach restaurant The Sandbar which can be accessed by sand or by a ramp, and this is connected to a fishing pier where you can pay to fish or walk for free. The views from there are beautiful. Cons - yes, the hallways are really old and stained. My understanding is it will eventually be renovated. - The rooms were also old and while clean, overall, we found areas that were a bit gross. But the bathroom and bed were good in terms of cleanliness. The bed wasn't super comfortable though. - the bathrooms at the pool area were easy to access and were clean. Bathrooms in the lobby area were clean as well. Lastly, we were here when the garbage chutes outside the windows from the construction caught on fire which spread to the building. I felt like it was handled pretty well. We had to evacuate from the pool which lasted a few hours. But when we came back they were giving out lots of food and drinks to try and welcome everyone. We all had to be moved by the end of the night to a different hotel, and I thought they handled it as well as they could have. Everyone remained friendly throughout the whole ordeal despite having to deal with many frustrated and disgruntled guests. If you're looking for a luxury resort, or plan on being in the room much. this wouldn't be the place to go. But to get away and use the pool and private beach, I could still recommend. I would potentially go back, though I do hope the renovations are done soon! I think the feelings of nostalgia I have are related to the sense of community I felt while everyone was waiting to figure out what we had to do with the fire. The other guests we met were friendly and encouraging, as were all the staff members.

Came in for a time share presentation, left with a fervent desire to never stay at this "resort"…read more Rude staff, self parking a block away, tape holding the walls together, filthy restrooms, and overcrowded pool area, all come together to form the perfect example of what not to do when making a hotel...
